“Excellent selection of designer brands at reasonable prices. Usually not cheap but way less than new! The only complaint I have is the racks are so full it’s hard to see every item easily.”

We booked it seven months out from the wedding to give ourselves time to shop around. But WE FOUND THE DRESS! Not only that, but we had a FANTASTIC experience with Missy. She was so sweet and truly considered what I wanted. She pulled dresses I never would have thought would have worked but did, and helped me thoroughly understand the ways they could be altered to fit my personal style. “We came here for my wife's birthday to buy her a full yukata. We had been there 4 years prior purchasing some small earthwares that were gorgeous. Everything inside was so beautiful and you can tell the craftsman and store owner took pride in their art. She was also amazing with my wife helping her pick out the perfect yukata showcasing the perfect customer service you see in Japan. We HIGHLY recommend Tokiya Japan and are loyal customers.”

“We've been to this merchant a few times. I have a differentability (thank you to my little great niece for changing my perspective ?) and I some times require an aide for walking.My husband and I found some beautiful hand carved canes here and at very reasonable prices. We receive constant compliments going through the airport home and even more when I use them as a walking aide.Purchased hand made leather shoes from here and my son was elated with his gift ?.The staff is always very friendly and you can meet some very interesting people here as well. The store has two levels so don't miss going upstairs. There is definitely a lot to see ? so plan on spending some time to find your treasure.With all that said a little more organization would be nice so you can better see the selection and they have cats all over the place which I was not a fan of. However, my family and I visit here pretty much every time we're in the area and we look forward to viewing their new offerings.Check them out! Hopefully you'll find something interesting of your own in your visit.”

“Took a field trip, braved the cold to Takoma Park. I grew up steps from Berkeley, CA and Takoma Park transports me back to a Berkeley neighborhood each time I go. This shop was great and full of hidden surprises! Not all the clothing was in pristine condition and definitely lots to see. I settled on a pair of red corduroy pants (vintage Ralph Lauren). Yes, most likely will return. There is also a delicious Mexican restaurant super close Cielo Roja.”

“i think they must have some company policy on only taking a max of X number of items from any person coming to consign at once, which is totally fine. i wouldn’t take it personally if they reject your items for consignment - i have kept some of the stuff they rejected and brought it back at other times at which point they took additional items that they previously rejected (can be a seasonality issue, stuff they’re specifically looking for at different times, or just luck of the draw depending on who’s reviewing your items).
to the people saying you’re better off selling on XYZ online platforms that is absolutely true - i mean you’ll obviously get more $$ payoff selling items and keeping 100% of the profit yourself but if you’re lazy, looking for convenience, and especially if you shop here and are part of the ‘ecosystem’ so to say it’s worth to consign and use your sales credit against purchases you make. lots of meh items in their stores but have gotten some of my cutest pieces from a current boutique so you just have to keep a discerning eye”

“Not sure I understand the low reviews! This store is fabulous and the owner cares deeply about high quality and authentic pieces, so you’re getting what you pay for. It says consignment, not thrift, so not sure why folks would think it would be cheap? It’s designer goods for great prices. Also, the owner is clear that if your items don’t sell within 3 months, you either can pick them up or she’ll eventually donate to keep things in rotation. Just make sure to read the forms. You actually get a really good % of the sale, compared to other spots! Anywho, would recommend if you’re in the DMV!”
