“Pretty decent grocery store. This is not my main shopping place but they do have a decent selection of choices in this location. I have been here a handful of times, and it seems ok in general.”

“On March 16th after a family affair we had a small get together at my brothers place. I ran into the store for a few things that we needed. The store was practically empty. I zipped down the isles and then made my way to the register. I was feeling tired so I went to a cashier and boy am I glad I did. Out of all the Safeway(s) in the area this is the first time that checkout was 100%. I approached the young lady named Wendy she said hello and did you find everything okay. She quickly checked me out even put my bags in the cart as they were filled with drinks. WOW! I paid and for the first time a cashier asked me do you play monopoly. I said you are the first cashier to ask me that. She smiled and told me to have a good night. Amazing, simply amazing. Wendy is top notch. Retail is tough - I was in the industry a few years ago. I looked for CS representatives like Wendy. They were hard to come by. Thank you Wendy for the greatest experience ever at a Safeway in the DC, MD and VA area. You're BRILLIANT and I hope your supervisors see this!”

“I've read the reviews, our experience has not been the same. We come here, often. The staff are great, everyone is friendly, always super helpful and attentive. I'll give it to you, the prices are a little higher, it's a first world problem living in an affluent community. There is a shoppers 3miles down the road, which I've also been to and it's pretty good. It's worth paying a premium for an awesome convenience, which means the doors are open at 6-AM. 6-AM. We think it's worth it to be able to get what you want and sometimes what you need at 6-AM. Did I mention they open at 6-AM? I also think the staff who probably come in an hour or so before to make it happen, are pretty rad. We have always had great interactions and often find ourselves joking and laughing with them. We know their names, they know who we are and that is what makes this place great. Melissa and the crew are great! The quality is also good, there has rarely been a miss in the prepared foods department, the meat and produce have always been good. I love me some Trader Joe's, the same can be said for their produce sometimes. Everything isn't going to be perfect everywhere. Sure sometimes something is out of stock, it happens in a smaller store with a really popular item (who knew hoagie spread was it?), drive 2 miles to Belleview and the Bigway is right there, easy peasy. Parking is not really an issue either, if it's full, move up to the variety story and walk about 50 feet, you can do eeeeet. Five stars for the total experience”

“One of the nicest Safeway's I've been to. It's almost on bar with your typical Harris Teeters. The only thing that's odd about it is that there is no place to put the carts, so if you're a decent human being you'll return it in front of the store. Sadly, a lot of people leave them scattered in the parking lot.”

“I just checked out 30minutes ago(12/29 9:58a). I forgot to ask his name and there is no his name on my receipt. He was wearing Walgreens pickup vest. He is Hispanic. He was so helpful and kind even though he seems very busy. Not only to me. There was another customer who seeking for a help, he did same things to him. He is not only good at customer service. He has ownership as well!!”

“I received the most incredible customer service from Victoria, the pharmacy tech at the CVS Pharmacy at Lockheed Blvd. A month ago I was discharged from the hospital with pneumonia on a Sunday afternoon. The needed prescriptions for antibiotics and a blood thinner were sent electronically to this CVS (since their pharmacy was open until 10 PM on Sundays). When I arrived there to pick up my prescriptions I discovered that this CVS could NOT FILL ANY OF THEM since they had none of the drugs / antibiotics in stock. Victoria, the pharmacy tech, knew I was in dire need of the antibiotics at the bare minimum and diligently searched thru the CVS system to find other locations where I could fill my prescriptions.I left the CVS at Lockheed with a list of ALL 7 prescriptions, along with their prescription numbers, and which CVS could fill them. This made it possible for me to go to CVS at Duke & have the 3 critical prescriptions filled (2 antibiotics and a blood thinner), and return home.I can't thank Victoria enough for all of her efforts to help me on a very stressful day where I felt like I was on a treasure hunt to find my medicine. She's an invaluable employee; you just don't see that level of customer service very often these days. Thanks Victoria!”
