“Forever Grateful. About 5 yr ago we rescued 3 week old kittens who had been brutalized by some kids. They were literally days from death. On our way back from where we collected them, I tried to find a vet who was willing to see them for very urgent care. My experience with the ER vet clinics in the DMV took them off the list as an option. I had never been to Liberty Falls and yet (after a lot of rejections by other vets) they told me to bring them in as soon as we could. The smallest and most damaged was too weak for the needed surgery but the vets scheduled the enucleation needed. These vets are so compassionate and it’s ALL about the animals. Still deeply grateful to them for saving all three. who are all loved and happy.”

They do not push any treatment but make sure you understand the options available. I've been going to Great Falls now over 10 years now and they have helped me get through some very rough times with my pets. I travel from Falls Church to Great Falls because I trust them that much with the care of my pets.”
“I’ve been wanting to post a review for THE LONGEST for sometime in the past 3 years but I kept forgetting. I first went to Grove Center Vet after adopting my very first dog ever. I first met Dr Bender and his staff. I was so impressed. Mia was 1 and I was new at everything. Little did I know Dr Bender was in the process of retiring. Shortly after Dr Malik took over and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. See Mia (my golden) has a lot of health issues. She was born with 3 abnormalities which give her reoccurring UTIs, she has IBS, and a torn ACL. She almost passed away from Pancreatitis too from the jerky Purina treats. And let’s also mention that times she’s ate chocolate, plastic, has gotten an eye infection, a wasp sting her nose, etc. In short, my baby needs to be put in RICE. In the beginning Mia was terrified going to the clinic. She would shake so bad it broke my heart. But when she needed to urgently be boarded for her Pancreatitis, the care from Dr Malik and his staff comforted her and she was no longer shaking at the fear she once had. Fast forward to now, she LOVES going to the clinic. The moment we are at the light turning in, she starts wagging her tail and getting excited. She loves going behind the front desk to “assist” the staff but really she just wants to say hi. Mia loves Dr Malik and the moment we walk in, she starts barking so everyone could give her attention.
Due to her health issues we are there a lot. I’m there almost every week for her medication, her food or for her appts. The staff are so caring. Dr Malik and the staff have comforted me so many times when I’ve gotten emotional. I couldn’t have asked for a better support system when it comes to my Mia. She loves everyone there and I am forever grateful.

“After moving from California to Maryland and looking into several other local clinics, Woodley Gardens is definitely at the forefront of animal care. The staff are polite and knowledgeable and are great about scheduling you in a last minute pinch and ACTUALLY calling you back if there’s an opening or an earlier time slot which is something of a rarity in this day and age.
They’re also open on Saturdays which as a service industry worker with a chaotic schedule can sometimes be the only time I have to fit in an appointment. Outside of that their app makes scheduling an absolute breeze compared to the other clinics and animal hospitals I’ve tried in the greater Rockville area.
The doctors and nurses are extremely well-versed in pet care and don’t try to disregard your experience with your per’s health which has truly been something that’s been hard to find. Truthfully we love Woodley Gardens so much I’ve recommended them to several friends and will continue to do so!
Pro tip: Carmen’s is right next door and they have a nice little selection of treats for your pup post-visit”

“I wouldn’t want any other vet than Dr. Popa to treat my dogs. He’s gentle and kind with them, and takes every concern seriously.
I’ve gone in a few times concerned over what ended up being nothing and he didn’t charge me. I feel like most vets these days nickel and dime you while Dr. Popa’s priority is the health of your animal. He’s is genuine and straight forward and has my utmost respect. “We were referred to this practice via Friendship Hospital Primary Care after a suspected recurring dental abscess on our 15-year old yorkie, Lola. Lola has had a history of severe periodontal disease, given the concern around putting a such a small (3lb) dog under anesthesia as well as a previous negative experience with anesthesia.
I was extremely nervous the days leading up to the procedure but understood the risk of the procedure outweighed the poor quality of life of Lola continuing to suffer with dental issues.
During the consultation, Dr. Kendall Taney made us very comfortable in the ability of their team to take care of our baby Lola especially with their board-certified anesthesiologist on site. After a few hours, we received a phone call that the procedure had been completed (including 20+ extractions, leaving Lola toothless) and that everything had gone well.
Now Lola is one-week post-surgery, and healing as best as we could imagine. Pain was managed well with medications provided and her appetite returned to normal after about three days.
I can’t thank Dr. Taney, Dr. Reed and the entire staff for the care they provided to our sweet Lola and ultimately improving the quality of life in her senior years.
