“We started taking our cats to District about a year ago, and could not be happier. Everyone is great, from the front desk to the techs to the veterinarians. I think the best is the level of communication we get - actual emails explaining what the possible issues are, treatment options, etc. It really helps when you need to discuss options with your partner if you don't have to try and remember what someone explained to you. Definitely try them if you need a vet.”

She's always been considerate with our time, transparent with pricing, and responsive. The front desk staff is prompt with email replies and always friendly! Truly the best vet in town.”

“My dog got accidentally hit on his right eye ball in the middle of October by home remodeling guy. I took my dog-Max to the hospital for emergency and received eye drops and medicine for two weeks, his eye had not healed, so I took him to the hospital he normally sees the doctor, received same eye drops and medicine, Max still not got recovered in the following 6 weeks. I decided to find a professional eye doctor to check my dogs eye 👁 fortunately, I found AVO, the eye doctor was very professional who was able to provide a surgery to Max’s eye. Max got 95 % recovery right after 2 weeks. Thank you 🙏 I would like to recommend this practice to anyone whose pets have eye issues/sickness.”

“There is no other vet in DC I would trust to care for our dear, sweet, elderly basset house. We've gone to Union Vet Clinic for the last 7 years, since moving to DC. The entire staff is always so wonderful and Dr. Gross has been our trusted vet the entire time, but if ever Dr. Gross is out, we have always received wonderful care from the other Doctors on staff. I must say, sometimes it is very stressful coming in because of our dog's advanced age and not knowing what is wrong with her. But seeing the wonderful front desk staff at the clinic always makes it easier. Rebecca is always so helpful on the phone and Nesha is so sweet and always asks how our sweet girl is doing, even when I am just there solo to pick up medication. Bryce is so amazing and empathetic whenever we come in with an issue, I can tell he truly cares and he has also stayed late to help me pick up medicine. He constantly goes above and beyond to help us. And Christian the vet tech is always so tender with our sweet old girl! Union Vet Clinic is truly a family, they are incredibly skilled and compassionate and I'd recommend them to anyone he needs expert care for their furry best friends!”

“Took both of my spaniels in together and expected at least one of them to create chaos during the appointment. Surprisingly, the staff managed both dogs calmly and even separated them when one became nervous around barking. Their coats looked smooth and healthy afterward, especially around the ears where tangles usually form quickly. The appointment took a bit longer than originally estimated, but with two energetic dogs I honestly understood why. They still communicated clearly throughout the visit, which I appreciated.”

“It has been hard to post this, because I still miss my dear guinea pig Ruby. There was a terrible storm in DC and MD, I had my animals at home as I was on my way back battling the rain, I got a call as I was about 10 minutes away from home from a neighbor telling me to hurry home. My condo was flooded with 4ft of water. Ruby drowned. My dog howling on the bed where he took safety. I had hope, I rushed to Friendship, asking the most embarrassing question to bring her back. I lost everything as Toby and I said goodby to Ruby. Friendship Animal Hospital brought Ruby back in the most beautiful way with care, her paw print, a beautiful urn, and carrier bag. Thank you ♥ 🐾”
