“Cool shop where they do pottery and glasswork classes and sell pieces made by local artists. They have some really cool pieces and styles, and the employees were friendly.”
“We did a couples class in September, and it was worth every penny. The instructor helped us every step of the way. She was very knowledgeable and patient with us absolutely newbies. We didn’t realize how long the full process takes- the instructor will glaze and create feet on your work, and she made a handle for my mug- and it took a couple months for that to be done. So, plan ahead if you want your work for gifts!”
“We had a great time with the glass blowing workshop! Our instructor Anna was very patient, thorough, and made sure we walked away with some pieces that would memorialize our time spent learning! It was a fun anniversary activity and we picked up an ornament to remember it for years to come. Thank you for the time, experience, and memories!”
“I love this cute little shop! The owner is really sweet and she makes a lot of the art in the store, and also curates a lovely selection of things from all over.”
“Last month I was visiting MD on vacation to visit family and friends. I fell in love with this shop. I loved the collage art, the jewelry, crystals, the decor.
I bought some super cute vintage postcards and have been using them to write notes to people for friends and people in the service industry. Also bought some protection oil.
It was a pleasure to meet you and to see your charming shop. Body chain wearing plus Oh My Gauze Pam. ❤️❤️❤️”
“The Emerson Bromo-Seltzer Tower has been a Baltimore landmark since its construction in 1911 as the tallest building in the city. The tower was built by Capt. Isaac Emerson, the inventor of the headache remedy Bromo-Seltzer, and designed by Joseph Evans Sperry (also designer of the Brewers Exchange). It once adjoined Emerson's Bromo-Seltzer factory, but the factory is no longer standing.
The most interesting feature is the still-functioning tower clock, the face of which displays the word BROMO-SELTZER instead of numbers. Modeled on the tower of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, the tower was topped by a 51-foot revolving replica of the blue Bromo-Seltzer bottle. The bottle was illuminated with 596 lights and could be seen 20 miles away. Unfortunately, the bottle was removed in 1936 due to structural concerns. To the chagrin of many locals (including several Baltimore Sun editorial writers), it has not yet been replaced.”
“Always a satisfying experience. Lots of excellent advice and guidance. More importantly, always excellent results. Go-to framer and mini art gallery with great examples of local talent.”
“Amazing artwork and options to frame your own masterpiece. Top quality and service. Other galleries in Haverford, Bethesda and Harrods London. The Village of Cross Keys.”
“We commissioned Kristin to do a custom painting of a Maryland shore wetland scene after seeing the quality of her other artwork, and it was perfect. Really great people and easy to work with. And their shop is very nice and inviting!”
“If the outside is this amazing and awesome, the inside must be even more amazing!!!! We strolled Mt. Washington and walked by Baltimore Clayworks. We are a family that loves to do pottery. We will be back to take a class!!!”
“This place is interesting. It has strong drinks that are at least $3 less than usual
Prices, and has a nice atmosphere. I wish it was more musically or dance oriented, but eh, it’s more experimental.”

“More Than Fine Framing is the BEST. I’ve gone here for years and they do exceptional, breathtaking work. They are so talented and helpful and treat your pieces with care. They always help find the perfect mat & frame combos and offer really helpful advice. I couldn’t recommend them enough.”
“This shop has done amazing work with our framed pieces over and over again. I cannot say enough positive things about the process end to end from design layout to final implementation. The place is a true gem.”
“I hate gift shops. Not this one, though. Really beautiful, unusual stuff. I actually browsed for half an hour. Very spacious and roomy and nicely merchandised. ♿️”
“I love this place!! It’s become my go-to shop to buy special gifts. Luann’s curated a diverse offering from local artisans in addition to her own incredible work. I always leave with the perfect gifts for my loved ones and a big smile on my face. Luann is so personable and down to earth – she’s definitely the magic that makes this spot so special!”
“Beautiful space. Historic building. Great place to host intimate events. Gallery owner is delightful. They have art shows in first Thursday every month featuring new artist each month.”
“THE WINKEL GALLERY is a small space featuring works by J. Winkel, himself, and other artist in the region. The gallery is also a host venue for other artist exhibitions. The Winkel Gallery also offers custom framing services for those whom seek framing for their art peices. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO PURCHASE ORIGINAL and AUTHENTIC ART WORKS, THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO START!”
“The shop is filled with beautiful & well crafted mosaic art and jewelry by proprietor Gail Rosen and artworks by others. Gail also sells a large selection of interesting and often visually stunning crystals, rocks, towers, fossils, and stone carvings.
I've bought many things from Andamento over the past year, including small mosaics, accent lamps, goddess figures, and gorgeous polished stones. And I just picked up from Gail a commission she made for me for a traditional yin/yang symbol made of black and white glass tesserae. I love it!”
“I purchased a piece that was framed by New Standard Frames over a decade ago. The care and craftsmanship that has held up over time with this frame is evident as I move around the artwork in my home quite often and it’s still in great shape.”
“A Funky little vintage shop with 3 floors of funky little vintage things. I came in with my girlfriend and we were both enamored by the little treasures within and the lady running the place seemed really nice. My girlfriend even bought a cute necklace with a little green pumpkin witch for a good price. Totally worth checking out”
“Simple, Modern, And Fresh. I love this gallery. The artists that showcase here are always amazing & the artwork is always so moving. The woman at the front desk is helpful and has all of the info concerning the gallery, And what is being presented ( Price Point, Catalogues, Upcoming or Past show info) Perfect gallery for a day to yourself or a night with others.”
“This is our absolute favorite spot in catonsville! It's such an amazing atmosphere and we love all of the holiday themes. It's great fun for the family or even a date or girls night out. We even held my daughters birthday party at the pottery cove and it was wonderful and all for an amazing price.
We are so thankful to have this little spot in our community as they have brought us so much joy and so many wonderful memories that last a lifetime. If you love art, painting, or just having a good time for a good price this is the place for you!”
