“These guys did an excellent job. On my job it was a 5 men crew, 2 trucks for 2100 sqft, including a huge basketball hoop. They were fast, professional, friendly, careful and flexible. They wrapped up everything nicely and asked about placement for everything that wasn’t labeled. They were even happy to move stuff from one floor to another even when we didn’t like our initial placement. Took furniture apart and put it back together. EXTREMELY reasonable prices. Please, offer to buy your movers lunch and tip as you would a server (though they did not ask for this). They work exceptionally hard and deserve every penny.”

“I've used Bookstore Movers for three moves now during my DC tenure and they are, in a word, amazing. When you submit a request, they get back to you within an hour with an estimate. They are really helpful with everything you need to get done pre-move, the moving truck rolls to your front door exactly on time, and they are quick and efficient but very safe with the move -- everything gets wrapped up and taped up. All in all, we were done with a two-bedroom house move ten miles down the road (farewell, DC) in two hours. 100% recommend.”
“The OMX team was excellent. The pre-move visit and inventory was professional and thorough. Neal certainly set a positive tone for the multi-step move right at the start. The team also accommodated our move on July 5th to take advantage of reduced traffic in the Washington DC area. The hands-on moving team was already at the building when I arrived the morning of the move -- a nice surprise. They were very efficient and careful with our furniture and fragile items. They also took care of dissembling, moving, and disposing of several unwanted items left behind by the previous tenant. This was a HUGE help and saved me several post-move headaches. “HUSTLE + PROBLEM SOLVING = GREAT MOVEDistrict Relocators moved the (many and varied) remaining items from my family home in Silver Spring to my partially furnished, small, row house in NE DC.There were large bookcases, dressers, a sofa, large framed pictures and mirrors, boxes and boxes of books. Clothes.I was told 5 guys and a truck could do it in 3 hours.I was skeptical. Tony assured me- more than once - that it would happen. Relax. So, I did.Dathan, the foreman, and his team worked hard, but smart. They clearly work together often; it was really something to watch. Two of the team disassembled a futon in minutes to fit up my twisty staircase. No charge!In all, I was amazed how they fit these things into and around the little spaces in my house.One more thing. Another DR employee was driving by my house and stopped by to help!! I think that says a lot about this District Relocators.Everyone was super courteous and professional, also, nicely low key.It was a no stress move!
