“The YMCA in St Michaels is among the best athletic facilities which I've visited and been a member. I've traveled extensively and seen the good and not so good. This facility is far better than virtually all. It is relatively new, very attractive. Of course it is always impeccably clean, the HVAC accommodates all weather & temperature conditions. The equipment is clean and well-maintained. The pool is inviting, the pickleball courts are not only well maintained but also well-managed. But there's much more. Where this facility excels is the relationships, the friendships the human side. Every morning there's a big smile and a "good morning" from the front desk. The staff are friendly, more than accommodating, the trainers are very skilled and take time to really know the clients. Management also is involved in classes. Management has fostered a "synergy" which promotes interactions & friendships since the entire ambiance is so pleasant. Virtually everyone has a smile, going in and coming out of the facility. Honestly I can call it my home in some respects since I feel relaxed & among friends, yet I know why I'm there for a good solid workout. Last week I was completing some paperwork, when a woman next to me remarked "isn't this such a wonderful place? I smiled & said "it's almost like home" she smile back "yes it really is". I'm very grateful it's near my home.”

“They have the nicest group of people here... so helpful, thoughtful, friendly, and kind. There's a great variety of things to buy and it changes constantly. We move often for my fiance's job, so we keep things to the bare minimum as we go. This has been a great way to supplement the little things we've been missing and to give some life to the apartment. Knowing that it's for a good cause makes it so much better.”

“A hidden gem! So many tree swallows, Carolina wrens, orchard orioles, kingbirds, and blue birds! Many of the trees are low enough that you can almost see the birds at eye level.”

“We took our boys here for the candy land event they were throwing for Christmas and we all had a blast! I really hope they do that annually because if so we will definitely be back next year”

“I'm glad the center exists and that people are able to obtain affordable things. I wish that the hours described here included the donation center, as I just drove over with clothes and housewares to find the "closed" sign, and when I called the store I was told that it is always closed (donations) on Monday and Tuesday.”
