“The Hummingbird Inn is a terrific gem located in Easton in Talbot County. Eric and Michael are exactly the thoughtful kind of hosts you want them to be. As President of the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce, I can say they are great, longtime chamber members, tremendous community supporters and all around great people! I'm grateful to know and work with them and proud to have them and their beautiful Hummingbird Inn in our county! Be sure to come visit!”

“The AAM is such a blessing for our community. Great mix of local and global focus. I can’t necessarily afford most of the class offerings, but anyone can afford free admission to a great museum. Lovely location, as well, walkable from anywhere in town. Must visit!”

“I was here before and it was so wonderful that I never forgot that. It was during the winter and I was sitting outside by the fire pits where they had tables and chairs and I was smoking a cigar and you would hear the clippity clop clippity clop of a horse and buggy as it was passing by on that snowy evening. Now to the present..The place is still a beautiful colonial hotel. The attendants provided great service. The room was clean and they provided water, snacks coffee all for no charge. The bed was comfortable.I went downstairs to go to the tavern. The restaurant was full and the Tavern was empty. The service was splendid. I couldn't ask for a better server. I was confused about what to get and she made an excellent suggestion. It was very good. I ordered the pork spaetzle. I think that's what it's called. I also ordered Terrapin soup. It was the best. And I had a Balvenie doublewood (I think it was a 14-year). With tax and a generous tip for great service that comes to $85 for one person. Here's why I was disappointed in my visit.During the weekdays the restaurant does not serve breakfast. That bummed me out. Also, late at night I wanted to enjoy a very nice Cuban cigar outside by the fire pit sitting at a table along the street. The tables were closed down and there were no fire pits outside. That was a disappointment. One of the reasons I came here was because I wanted to get away, be by myself, and chill out in a peaceful, colonial atmosphere, where I could sit outside with a fine imported cigar, a top end spirit, and mellow out with the cook breeze clearing out my mind of all worries and stress. This is why I visited this place in the past and came back. This place is only 30 miles away from my home, but it's 200 years away (in the past) and feels like I'm hundreds of miles away in distance. But as I said the tables were closed down the fire pits were not there and it just ruined the atmosphere, and the experience for me of the pleasure of enjoying myself outside with a cigar, a scotch, a cool breeze on the brick patio of a colonial hotel, alongside a cobblestone street, while enjoying the starry sky above.Rooms: The room was not large but not small but it was really enough. There were no clauses but there were ample drawers for storage. The best was very clean and they provided all the best supplies that you need. That's the bed was large it was very comfortable. They provided a coffee maker coffee water different kinds of snacks and Life Water (two bottles). The great thing about this hotel besides a couple student streets in the outdoor patio along the brookside Walk was that it was fairly close and walkable to the main street very you have eating places, pubs, taverns gift shops and etc.At this time of the year there aren't too many places that have food and drink available at night but there were a few places however I cannot comment on them because I did not experience them because this place has one of the best restaurants in town. And that is where I ate. As I said I had excellence service, excellent food. The Terrapin soup delicious the main course was exquisite, any bar was comfortable with an abundance of high in spirits. Hover, it is not one of those talkative searchable wars. It's one of those bars where you would sit down with your head in your hands over your drink and just contemplate.Walkability: As I just said the place is closer to the main street it has pubs taverns dining places shops all with no walking distanceFood & drinks: Again, as a previous previously stated I did not try the food and drinks anywhere else because this hotel has one of the best, highest rated restaurants in town. The atmosphere is wonderful, The service is great The food is exquisite, so there was no need to go anywhere else.”
