“I was here before and it was so wonderful that I never forgot that. It was during the winter and I was sitting outside by the fire pits where they had tables and chairs and I was smoking a cigar and you would hear the clippity clop clippity clop of a horse and buggy as it was passing by on that snowy evening. Now to the present..The place is still a beautiful colonial hotel. The attendants provided great service. The room was clean and they provided water, snacks coffee all for no charge. The bed was comfortable.I went downstairs to go to the tavern. The restaurant was full and the Tavern was empty. The service was splendid. I couldn't ask for a better server. I was confused about what to get and she made an excellent suggestion. It was very good. I ordered the pork spaetzle. I think that's what it's called. I also ordered Terrapin soup. It was the best. And I had a Balvenie doublewood (I think it was a 14-year). With tax and a generous tip for great service that comes to $85 for one person. Here's why I was disappointed in my visit.During the weekdays the restaurant does not serve breakfast. That bummed me out. Also, late at night I wanted to enjoy a very nice Cuban cigar outside by the fire pit sitting at a table along the street. The tables were closed down and there were no fire pits outside. That was a disappointment. One of the reasons I came here was because I wanted to get away, be by myself, and chill out in a peaceful, colonial atmosphere, where I could sit outside with a fine imported cigar, a top end spirit, and mellow out with the cook breeze clearing out my mind of all worries and stress. This is why I visited this place in the past and came back. This place is only 30 miles away from my home, but it's 200 years away (in the past) and feels like I'm hundreds of miles away in distance. But as I said the tables were closed down the fire pits were not there and it just ruined the atmosphere, and the experience for me of the pleasure of enjoying myself outside with a cigar, a scotch, a cool breeze on the brick patio of a colonial hotel, alongside a cobblestone street, while enjoying the starry sky above.Rooms: The room was not large but not small but it was really enough. There were no clauses but there were ample drawers for storage. The best was very clean and they provided all the best supplies that you need. That's the bed was large it was very comfortable. They provided a coffee maker coffee water different kinds of snacks and Life Water (two bottles). The great thing about this hotel besides a couple student streets in the outdoor patio along the brookside Walk was that it was fairly close and walkable to the main street very you have eating places, pubs, taverns gift shops and etc.At this time of the year there aren't too many places that have food and drink available at night but there were a few places however I cannot comment on them because I did not experience them because this place has one of the best restaurants in town. And that is where I ate. As I said I had excellence service, excellent food. The Terrapin soup delicious the main course was exquisite, any bar was comfortable with an abundance of high in spirits. Hover, it is not one of those talkative searchable wars. It's one of those bars where you would sit down with your head in your hands over your drink and just contemplate.Walkability: As I just said the place is closer to the main street it has pubs taverns dining places shops all with no walking distanceFood & drinks: Again, as a previous previously stated I did not try the food and drinks anywhere else because this hotel has one of the best, highest rated restaurants in town. The atmosphere is wonderful, The service is great The food is exquisite, so there was no need to go anywhere else.”

“My son and new daughter-in-law were the first wedding at the newly refurbished Oaks Waterfront Inn. I can only say WOW!! The Oaks is spectacular! The decor is soothing and beautiful and the grounds are gorgeous. The food is fabulous and the service is impeccable. The team at The Oaks is professional, knowledgeable, gracious and caring. They were easy to work with and took care of every detail. We could not be more pleased with the wedding weekend!! Run, don't walk, to book your event at The Oaks!”

“Very nice room, bathroom and hotel. Good location, but be aware you need to turn either before or after the hotel and come back the short way on Alicia to get to it. Also, my room (305) was a little noisy, as it was near the highway at the front of the building near the corner. Ask for something quiet if you are sensitive to road noise. Some people may consider the furnishings in the room a little dated, but this is not a swank hotel, so it was fine. And the bed was very comfortable, which is important. Panera and Chipotle are a short distance away on the highway, as is Chapel Road to start you on the way to St. Michaels, should that be of interest. In the other direction are more hotels and more food choices. Easton's nice "old town" is not far. (We went to the Stolz Listening Room at the Avalon Theater.) The hotel's breakfast was hot and ample, though I'm not a fan of powdered eggs, so I avoided those. Note that there are some cold items on the other wall away from the hot items. Free bottles of water & coffee are available all the time at the desk. The pool looked nice though I didn't use it. I felt the price of the room was reasonable, but I don't get to Eastern Shore enough to be able to compare it to other places. I will definitely stay again if I come back to Easton.”

“If Quality, or any low standard of Quality is your preference, this is not your place. The staff, excluding the manager Katie, are friendly. The GM, Katie, is incompetent to the point that she is the main source of the word Quality not being an honest name for this hotel. The property is what it is. A low budget stay but tolerable enough to stay a couple of nights. I did have to do a room switch though. If the owners could dismiss, Katie, the obnoxious and incompetent GM, this establishment might be deserving of it's business name.”
