“Not every store that has the name "Dollar" in front of it is a S1 store. the Dollar Tree stores are always $1 or less. Some things maybe a little higher. However, stores like Dollar General, Dollar Shop, etc yes the names are deceiving, but nothing is $1. I go to this store when I need certain things, if I can't find an item and ask the owners or cashier they're often helpful.”
“Really like Ollie's outlet stores. They have very competitive prices on a lot of stuff including dry groceries with a little bit of pharmacy items, tableware, carpeting and random home goods overall. Simply a lot of random stuff with good value. One drawback however, once something's out of stock, there's good chance you won't find it again ... But, that's how they promote and advertise their stuff, so if you find something you like, you need to get it and/or stock up.”
“I went into five below yesterday and this nice young lady at the cash register was super nice. She was making sure that I bought the right case for my iPod for my mom and she took the time to tell me the difference between each cases. She was very knowledgeable and kind. I just want to give her a quick shout out because she was super nice yesterday”
“Save A Lot in Arbutus is a commendable choice for budget-conscious shoppers, offering a straightforward, no-frills shopping experience with a focus on affordability. The supermarket features a user-friendly layout and a decent selection of essential grocery items, including fresh produce and dairy, all at lower prices without sacrificing quality. Although the variety may not match larger grocery stores, especially for specialty items, the in-house brands provide excellent value. The store's cleanliness and organization, coupled with the friendly and helpful staff, make for a pleasant and efficient shopping experience. For everyday groceries and essentials, Save A Lot in Arbutus stands out as a reliable and economical option in the community.”
“Workers are always so kind and helpful at the register. But I feel bad for them because there is no air conditioning so the store is very hot during the summer months.”
“Easy to access parking lot , the staff were friendly , the store was not crowded at all for after work “rush hour” time. They had everything I needed and the prices are great! I would patronize this Costco again !”
“Love the long mumus or whatever people call it. The long nightgowns with tribal designs on it. Seems like a Mexican based spot for clothes only because I noticed a lot of the shirts say Bonita or has skulls on it. But if you have time to search it’s decent selections”
“Retail store with Goodwill prices. Many name brand items at greatly discounted price. Look over everything very carefully, it might be dirty, stained, snagged, be sized incorrectly, or have a hole in it. Usually everything is ok. On my last visit I was able to buy a $74 pair of Nine West pants for just $7.”
“Daisi is the best salesman in world! I was able to come in and pick out everything I needed for my home! He is the best… come and see him not Lowes or Home Depot!”
“I count on Dollar Tree for everything I need. I shop here first and then go to the grocery store. This store is pretty much like all the other stores. I get stuff i regularly use. Like canned soup . 1.25 at Dollar Tree. 3.15 at the grocery store. I save lots of money doing this. The staff is friendly and helpful.”
“I love their selection of merchandise at this location compared to another location. Unfortunately ive seen staff and other ppl smoke right outside the entrance so you have to walk through their but the staff is helpful and it's clean inside. I like that”
“In town for a wedding and forgot several toiletries. Good old dollar tree around the corner from my hotel and got everything I forgot and then some. Love $ Tree.”
“I love this dollar store. Their big and bright and so clean. They have stuff I never see in the dollar store by me. Their so cheery and a really nice store. The cashiers are the nicest people to. They have the nicest stuff to. Denise James”
“This is one of my favorite Dollar General 's!!!!! ... First things first, I moved here from Florida and the Dollar generals in Anne Arundel county and in Baltimore area are so so much better than the ones in Central Florida! They seem to sell everything from quality bras and comfortable underwear. To medicines to name brand makeup to baby things to furniture, lamps to all name brand types of food, cereals, ice creams, great priced milk even almond milk! In this particular one off Veterans highway in Millersville, MD. Everybody is always so nice and so helpful and they genuinely want you to save money and explain the quality of your savings If you download the app. The only reason I haven't visited more often is because I'm a forgetful person and it's not right around the corner from you. Now that I've gone there a couple times to doordash and deliver for other people, I am definitely a true believer in this store and I even got the app. You can get cash back! And I mean good cash back. For example, they'll tell you, you can earn $3 off Venus four pack razors and the razors will only be $6!!! Other full price convenient and grocery stores, they're I think somewhere from 12 to 16 bucks!! So in retrospect you're only paying $3 for these razors at any Dollar General ( at least for this week's special ? ) because they're giving you immediately another $3 to go spend in their store!!!!! It doesn't get much better than that ? but the nice and friendly and helpful employees really make it a thousand times better than any other discount store I can think of at this time! Or really any store. They definitely raise the bar for quality. Kind friendly, helpful customer service! To clarify, I do not know anybody that works there. I have never worked here. I've only been in this store four times. This is truly how impressed I am with this store and this location particularly ? I wish I could remember the name of the young man working Sunday June 23rd, 2024 evening to closing shift, at the register.... because he was terrific!!!! If Dollar general sees this and knows the person's name, please let me know so I can give them a shout out in this review because they gave terrific, joyful, efficient customer service. They were very knowledgeable and helpful about the app while still keeping up with a line and being the only person on the register! And doing all with a smile and genuinely and authentically seemed to love what they do and moved helping people which I think is fantastic!!”
“It's a decent grocery store, better than the other Save-A-Lots. Good prices on selected items. The assorted pies be out-dated sometimes, couple mouths past expiration date. They have sales most of the time.”
“I visited tire center today for tire replacement and I was already frustrated with Costco Columbia tire center and their rude staffs behavior.A guy name Forrest approached me and took care of my tire installation very kindly.I explained why I picked up my tire from Columbia costco to be installed at their store he listened to my concerns and he says sorry for something he was not responsible for saying to me and given me excellent customer service I highly recommend this tire center and please don't waste your precious time at Columbia costco tire center. Thanks Forrest and Arundale mills Costco tire center I appreciate your services.”
“Store is neat, organized and pretty much always stocked. Every time I go there ppl are always stocking the shelves!!! The employees are polite and greet when you pass them.”
“Over all the price are very good especially in dairy, pasta section and ceral. They always have a wall of items that are on sale and selection of potato chips at great prices. In the Soda Isle both National Brands and there Brand are very well priced. They have a great selection of Ramen noodles and Snacks.”
“Honestly, the quietest Costco I've been to in Maryland. It's a bit further than my usual Costco but I discovered it while in Glen Burnie the other day. The staff is super friendly here and they have the largest book selection I've seen (although Costco is now going to stop carrying books year round). The check out line is never long here (I've been here three times now?) they have decent Asian selections here. They have good sales here - I finally saw oxo boosting power on sale for $5 less! If you're willing to drive more - this is the best Costco as it's never that busy!”
“I like that they have frozen fruit and veggies. That's awesome! Unlike other Dollar General they are organized and the isles are clear so you can get down them without clearing a way or cleaning up something.”
“I really enjoy our new Dollar Tree store! They work very hard to keep the store stocked and clean! The management is friendly and helpful. They will assist you with your purchase to your vehicle . Wow?!”
“I'm not so into families, but dollars are pretty great. If you're careful this place will save you a few dollars, and give you an escape from family at the same time. I've spent half my kids college savings on textured, self-adhesive wall tiles and zebra-painted, framed mirrors. Don't tell Deb. She thinks I melted aluminum foil to the existing wood plankboard wall in my glam cave. Nope $400 worth of peel-and-stick foil rectangles. Skylar won't make it past 11th year anyway. 🤷🏼♂ and to be frank, a mirror shein wall is worth far more than a college degree these days. One earns you respect. The other years of debt.”
“I enjoy shopping at this location the young man Daevon is always helpful. The store is fully stocked and neat. Can use more cashiers but that’s in all retail short staff. Great place to shop.”
“Not my go to Costco by any means but since I was nearby, I decided to stop in for the few items I needed. I found what I was looking for. Parking wasn't terrible. This location is smaller than my usual one in Beltsville. Employees are friendly and helpful. I won't go out of my way to come back but I'm glad it's here!”
“12FEB.2022 Second time here in 3 yrs. the staff here ALWAYS go above and beyond. Thanks to my lady that held me a bottle of 15 yr Glenfiddich Single Malt Scorch Whiskey. Always friendly and proficient with the lines they have inside the store.”
“I love the great findings. The employees are professional, caring & the management team is great. This is my favorite place to go with way my entire family ( even my 7-years old grandson) to get good quality items for a great price. And the entire staff has a smile always. Love this place & the staff!”
“This one on Rolling road is so big but the price changesas a company I don't like if you are dollar tree, let's not be greedy and keep it to a dollar.....”
“This location must be a high theft store. Was asked by an employee to take my bag and place it behind the cash register before shopping. I was given my bag back after a purchase.”
“I like there variety, store could b a little neater, and cashier's could use some customer service skills, especially on how to deal with them not so nice customers and not escalate a situation but prices are much better, good name brand quick meals I will definitely be returning. Thanks for not having outrageous prices like that damn Shoppers market.”
“This is the first Dollar Tree I’ve been to where I had such a great interaction with an associate, and it turns out she’s the manager. Her name is Brianna, and she really made the difference in my visit. ? She greeted me with a warm smile and was very pleasant right from the start. ? She was helpful in a way that felt genuine, not like she was just doing her job. ? Her attitude was positive and professional, and it made the whole store feel more welcoming. ? When you talk with her, you can tell she’s knowledgeable and carries herself with confidence. It stood out to me because this experience was so different from other Dollar Tree locations I’ve been to. Brianna set the tone with her kindness and the way she treated me as a person, not just another customer. That’s what great customer service is all about, and she truly delivered it.”
Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
