Pet Care

Fallston Veterinary Clinic
2615 Belair Rd, FallstonDogs are expensive...so what better people to entrust that expense to than FVC? They are awesome and classy even sending their respects for a deceased pet. Foremost they provide honest service doing what is necessary while not just doing things to increase your cost. ...and Guinevere said she loves the treats when she visits! ;-)

Pleasantville Animal Hospital of Fallston
2128 Fallston Rd, FallstonOur English Mastiff had an ear infection for months. He had been to his vet for it and it didn't go away. Then he was sedated, the ear was flushed at a UC vet and it still came back. He has been on so many rounds of antibiotics and nothing worked. My brother in law recommended we try Pleasantville animal hospital (which is an hour away from us.) Our first impression of this vet was awesome they were not booked out super far. Everybody there was very nice and treated us well. At our first appointment we were given a round of medication for our dog's ear. We treated our dog for 20 days with this medication and the ear infection still remained. However, this vet followed up with us via text to track his progress. We ended up having to sedate him again to have his ear flushed. Our dog's original vet doesn't cut nails and won't sedate him because he's such a large dog. Pleasantville treated him with such kindness and great care. His nails were trimmed and he had a thorough exam while he was sedated. Now I am so happy to report that our dog's ear infection is finally gone. It is so nice to see our dog back to his usual self. Thank you Pleasantville Animal Hospital for such a great experience this place was worth the drive!

The Local
1918 Belair Rd, FallstonStopped here on a Friday night while in Baltimore for work. I had snooped this place and their posts for awhile, as I know one of the gents who works here. Made a reservation for 8pm for the three of us, and checked in promptly. Located in a shopping center it's sort of tucked in the back corner behind a Waffle House and Dunkin, and due to some spots being taped off parking was TIGHT. We were sat in the bar area at a high top table. Our waitress Jackie was very friendly and went thru the specials as well as the overall menu with us. We started with the fried deviled eggs, the pork belly, the cheesesteak egg rolls, and the cream of crab soup. Being in Baltimore, the cream of crab had to be on-point and they delivered. Good flavor, a decent amount of crab, and paired it with the table cornbread served to us. An instant hit. With two orders of the fried deviled eggs, everyone was loading up - but I really liked these. The fry was even necessary to me as the yolk stuffing was smooth, had an old bay flavor and overall so well done. The pork belly looked like a real mental investment, the presentation was Michelin-esque. Only issue was it was tough to cut with the butter knives and after just a small chunk of it I let the boys handle the rest. It is very seldom that a menu item can pull me away from my usual path of steak, crab cake, etc - but meatloaf is a dish that does just that. The meatloaf was massive- stacked on top of mashed potatoes and julienned vegetables (which I almost missed)- topped with an over easy egg. A lot to negotiate but really worth it in the end. Various bites had different flavors of the potato, the egg, and the sauce along with the meatloaf. Definitely an item to get if you visit. We were going to pass on dessert but Ryan came out with a creme brulee on the house. Ryan and I go way back - and I appreciate him greatly now that we are older. Overall this place has to be one you visit if you come to the Baltimore area. Period.

The Humane Society of Harford County
2208 Connolly Rd, FallstonIf you want to adopt, I recommend this place 1000%, they were very kind, we went and instantly fell in love with a dog named Empress, she stole our hearts but we couldn't take her the same day because she was not yet ready with her veterinary medical papers. They told us to wait a week and they would call us that week, we called but it was still not ready. Then they sent an email to my partner who was already there and we could go get her and that's how it was. Every day we are happier about the decision. We are completely in love with it. dog, she is healthy, loving and is currently the princess of the house, thanks to the humane society of Harford country center for the opportunity, please adopt there are many beautiful animals looking for your love and home
