“Well, I am at a loss for words to describe how happy and grateful I am to be living in Parkland Village Apartments, all thanks to some special individuals who work there. Firstly, I have to thank God for creating someone like Ms. Xiomara (Parkland Village Office Manager); she is a blessing to this community. Ms. Xiomara is very professional, always smiling, and respectful to the residents. Because of how she treated me, I have recommended Parkland Village to my friends and coworkers who needed a place to call home. So, Ms. Xiomara, I want to thank you once again. Another staff member who has earned my respect is Ms. Pat Perkins Leasing Manager (Ms. Pat); she is also very professional and respectful. From the bottom of my heart, my son and I want to say a big thank you. Moved into Parkland Village last week, the process was straightforward and easy enough, the apartment is nice, and was a smooth move in. After finding the right unit I made my decision within 3 days following the walk through, applied in the office and was approved right away, provided the required documents the next day in person and scheduled a move in for the following week which went smoothly. So far so good, getting settled in and figuring out the area. Positives = convenient location easily accessible commuting distance with plenty around, unit was clean and updated, prime parking, quiet living. Staff are very friendly, Juan (Maintenance manager) is a professional, and a very knowledgeable person, I've noticed he keeps the buildings well-maintained. Amenities on the property are great, they even have a pet park and a playground area for kids. Maintenance requests are acted upon in a timely manner. Location is perfect for me and my friends; minutes from the grocery store is a plus. Overall I'm happy with the move. Negatives = The only thing is the parking pavement, it needs a new paint job. It's hard to find the Visitor spot at night and during the day. But overall I'm happy to be a resident of Parkland Village Apartments.”

“I moved to Washington about 8 months ago for work — this was my first time living outside of Texas — and I was in a rush to find a place to live. I wasn’t able to tour the building before I moved in but the virtual tour of the floor plan impressed me enough to where I decided I’d live here. While I was extremely impressed by the virtual tour, it does not do the building or the units justice. This place is awesome. It’s got an amazing location in the trendy Navy Yard neighborhood, so plenty of entertainment within walking distance — also about a 15 minute walk to the Capitol and a 2 minute walk to the Navy Yard metro station, giving you easy access to the rest of the District and its surrounding areas. Common areas within the building are clean and tidy, and the unit is exceptional — I have so much space! Special shout out to the amazing staff here, especially the wonderful concierge team. I’ve rented many apartments in my life and I’ve never felt more at home than I do here. I plan to continue living at 909 New Jersey as long as I can.”

“Overall, The Edition is not terrible. There are things that could be improved for sure but I had no real issues. I live on the first floor and never had any pest issues, no mice or roaches. We had ants but that's what happens when you live on the first floor and it rains. They are quick to fix it for us tho. The pool is really nice, we loved it during the summer. The only issues that I really had was that my unit CONSTANTLY smelled like Marijuana from people in other units smoking 24/7 and it flows thru the vents to my unit. Also, people in the parking garage drive like it is NASCAR, it's ridiculous really. I have been here a year and only recently have a started to notice that noise can be an issue. It seems like someone moved in recently and they are always screaming and yelling in the first floor hallway at all hours of the night on the weekends. I don't know if management is aware of this but it's wild.”

But never anything past 11pm which brought us peace of mind.The multiple times the fire alarms went off and couldn't be silenced for hours!But we have to say overall our 2 years here were beneficial and we would recommend Aspire if asked.”
“We lived in these buildings for 3.5 years and absolutely loved it. We have to move cities otherwise we would have continued living here! We never had any major issues. We lived on the ground floor and never had issues with roaches or mice. Maintenance requests were addressed in a timely manner. The most “inconvenient” thing we had to deal with at one point was a broken AC for 2 weeks one summer and it sucked but it was addressed quickly while new parts were ordered and a temporary portable AC unit was put in our unit. It’s unreasonable to expect miracle, immediate solutions to your problems in an apartment complex which I see are a lot of the complaints in reviews. Maintenance always addressed our issues in a timely manner and if something was an emergency it was addressed even more quickly. The faces at the front desk were constantly changing but everyone was always kind. Loved the location being on top of a Walmart you can’t beat that. A beautiful new library one block away. An Aldi just opened up 5 minutes walk away. The metro is a little over a 10 minute walk away and I always felt safe walking the route. The maybe one annoying thing is that the building shares a fire alarm system with the Walmart and Wing Stop so we had to deal with more false fire alarms than I ever had to deal with in any past Apt buildings. But yes, we loved our time here and are sad to be saying goodbye!”

“Yes, my review is long. My experience went from bad, ugly to amazing. Gayle & Tim have turned my stay around. It took me a few months to write this review because I wanted it to be a true and honest review. Gayle and Tim came to my apartment 3 months ago and went through the entire apartment with me. They asked me what all the issue's were. Before they could even leave the apartment, they already had someone inside fixing things. Literally within 10 days, I had a brand new stove, a brand new toilet, and they put Quarter round around my entire apartment to stop mice from coming in. I can truly say that in 3 months, I have not seen one mice, my stove is lovely, and the toilet is not stopping up anymore. They have fixed all of my issues, and I am grateful.Yes, all of this shouldn't have taken that long, but it did. I'm just happy everything is almost perfect now. We did not get to see the apartment that we had chosen online yet, and we received a call saying that the apartment was ready. Before signing the paperwork, Tanesha allowed us to view the apartment. HORRIBLE!!!! They had roaches everywhere! All understand the sink and dishwasher. When Tanesha realized she immediately switched our apartment. Thank God! Since moving in on November 11th, it has been a nightmare. My stove does not work without me having to light it with a lighter, and that barely works. I was so scared to do such a thing, because it should be working. I've even burnt myself. So, on Thanksgiving, only one burner was working. HORRIBLE! I have mice throughout my apartment. They are living rent-free. Then it was so cold in my apartment. The unit said it was 76. It was more like 64. They had me sign a form with all my issues, and I had to turn it in within 7 days. After a month, no one came to fix anything. Finally, I got in touch with the manager on a Friday, and she said the engineer would be here on Monday and the pest person would be here on Tuesday. No one showed. I finally had to go to the office on the following friday and I was told that someone would be here Monday. An engineer came 30 minutes later. He looked at the stove, but it still wasn't working when he left. No one has been back since. It's been 2 weeks. Someone came and looked for holes for the rat. Found a huge hole and put down rat traps, and that's it. Then, one night, it was raining extremely hard, and my bedroom window was leaking tremendously. I called and spoke about every issue above and explained how nothing has been fixed since day 1. Then I spoke about the window. They put in a service ticket. The email stated that it would be completed by December 20th. Well, here we are, and it's December 26th. Couldn't even cook for Christmas. Now my toilet just overflowed and took long to fill up. This is the worst experience I've ever had. I have given them multiple chances to turn this around. But damn. I've been here for 46 days, and it's hell just to get things fixed. I deserve an explanation, things to be fixed and compensation.Update: they said someone would come today and no one came. Oh, by the way, it's been raining all day. Window still leak, stove still not working, mice living in the stove.... at this point, throw the whole apartment away. Literally, all I can do here is try to sleep. I can't cook, and I can barely sleep from hearing the rain dripping inside my apartment. If only we could post videos. Literally, I just took a 5 minute video of the mice coming in and out of my stove. Lol, who really lives here. At this point, put the mice on my application.”
