“I had put on brakes and rotors by myself and still had vibrations when braking hard and suspected a rotor problem even though they were new. I brought it to J&F to have them check if it was the rotor and they confirmed that the rotor was the issue. I was going to return the rotor to where I bought it but they said they might be able to file down the high spot so I said give it a go. The filing down improved it but did not fix it, so I said I'll just pick it up. They said it would be no charge since they said they weren't able to fix it. I said let me pay you since you spent time to diagnose and attempt to fix it and they said no, we'll see you next time - what a wonderful business experience!”
“I’ve been bringing my cars to Auto America for more than a decade. I’m in Cleveland Park and there are certainly closer mechanics, but there’s no one in the area I trust as much as these guys. They’re extremely thorough and knowledgeable, and when they identify an issue, they are totally transparent and honest about whether and when it actually needs addressing. Prices are fair and reasonable. I can’t recommend them enough.”

The dealership was trying to charge me a fortune after I just paid almost $1000 for my service B routine maintenance— so I was calling around trying to find a cheaper alternative to help me decide on whether to accept or decline the over-priced recommended additional services… I originally reached out to a licensed Mercedes-Benz service provider in Waldorf, but they did not follow up with the quote nor did they respond to my inquiries; so I ask ChatGPT for a service provider in Waldorf who could replace the transfer case seals on my GLS 450, and it recommended Cottsman. They ordered OEM Mercedes-Benz parts, the technician was down to earth and did excellent work, and it was so refreshing that they did not try to nickel & dime me with a bunch of miscellaneous charges like the dealership did. Valerie consistently delivered white glove customer service from the very first phone call and all of the interactions in between, to me picking up my vehicle and even calling back with a follow up question. She was extremely knowledgeable and transparent, super personable, and an excellent multi-tasker… I will be bringing Franky back for all of his vehicle service maintenance needs— including oil changes; thank you to everyone at Cottsman’s Transmission and Total Auto Care! 🖤”

“I've been using this shop for a while now. Bob's fixed every problem I brought him in a timely fashion. I do shop around even though I know I'm bringing my car to him. I have AAA and his prices are always lower than their shops. Beware, however, there is no real office to sit in if you need that. It's there, but it's not really for sitting. Great staff though. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon.”
“Ben Nielsen’s Alexandria Auto Care West at 4405 Duke St gives outstanding service. I called them late Saturday afternoon with a disabled vehicle. Paul, the service manager and Ed, the technician told me to bring the car in. They waited for me beyond their normal closing hours. They promptly got me back on the road. I was concerned I might have to wait till next week to get the car back. I have a busy schedule out of state next week, so being down the car would have been both inconvenient and expensive. These guys were great!! Highly Reccomended!!!!”

“10/10 definitely recommend, i was out in 3 hours! I called late in the day and the owner answered. I told him I wasn't sure if it was my starter but I believed so, he told me to drop it off in the morning. He wasn't the only mechanic I called but because he was so nice I dropped it off the next morning. He confirmed it was my starter and started working on the car immediately. They even checked other things on my car while I was there. Very reasonably priced, I was out quick!”

“I recently discovered this great auto shop after some terrible experiences with shops in the area. I called them to inquire about a Maryland State Inspection on my recently purchased 2017 Honda Ridgeline. The receptionist was very polite and professional and helpful.
I took my truck to the shop located conveniently near the Maryland MVA in Waldorf.
A few hours later a mechanic called me to inform me of the status of my truck.
It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Carranza Auto Service for all of your auto repair needs.

“Motor World is a reliable, honest, quick and reasonably-priced automotive shop. I have used them for 8+ years for regular maintenance and repairs. Soon after having another mechanic install an alternator, my car suddenly stopped on the beltway. It was late in the evening and the shop I normally used was closed. AAA recommended having it towed to Motor World. I was shocked when Motor World made me aware that not only did I need an alternator, but that the one I just had installed was used, not new as I had been told and charged for. After making the other mechanic install a new one, Motor World agreed to re-inspect it at no charge. I have taken my car to Motor World thinking I had a major problem, and they diagnosed the issue as being minor and MUCH less cost than expected, and what the dealer would have charged. My Infinite is now 13+ years old and still purrs like a kitten. You can’t go wrong with Motor World.”

Also the service team for getting me in and out today as it wasn't a scheduled appointment. I had just been in yesterday for an oil change and state inspection and this morning my car wouldn't start. Called and Alex told me to bring it in. When I arrived he saw me in the parking lot, greeted me by name and got my key to see what the issue was.
