“Fantastic organization!! I was stuck in a rut with an old slow computer, working on resumes to get back to work. Since my income was non existent as I dealt with several personal issues, I was unable to maintain steady work. Since I qualified, I received an amazingly fast refurbished computer that is like brand new. This computer has given me hope to be able to have a functional computer to work on and send resumes. I am very grateful! It is such a great organization helping people become self sufficient!! If you are able and willing to contribute financially, donate computers, or cars, please do, as this is a phenomenal charity helping people to become self sufficient!”

“I checked in at the front desk for a day pass to use the pool. It's a nice 4 lane, 25 meter pool. It also has a smaller pool where volleyball can be played and a hot tub. The locker room was also nice. I didn't see the rest of the facility.”

“I am incredibly grateful for the assistance I received from St. Vincent de Paul during a very difficult financial hardship. I reached out when I was struggling to keep up with my rent and was given an amount that I needed to contribute toward my balance in order to receive assistance. I did everything I could to come up with my portion, but I ended up being about $60 short. Instead of turning me away because I couldn’t come up with the entire amount, they showed me grace and compassion and were still willing to help me. Their assistance allowed me to resolve my immediate housing situation and remain in my home. What meant the most to me was being treated with dignity during a time when I was already stressed and doing everything I could to get back on my feet. Sometimes people don’t realize how much of a difference this type of assistance can make for a family experiencing a temporary hardship. For me, it made a very real difference. And I cannot wait to be in a position to pay it forward. I will always be grateful for the kindness, understanding, and support I received from St. Vincent de Paul. Thank you for being there for me during a time when I truly needed help.”

“Hello. I was a former SHIP student. I joined them leaving a domestic violence shelter, and under their RRH program they handed me the keys to my room and I was overjoyed with gratitude. My situation was really difficult before I was introduced to them, they helped with food, and got a free bed delivered from 'Heavenly Sleep,' under their Partnership program. They went so far as signing me up for Second Chances Garage and I experienced the joy of receiving a vehicle for the first time. SHIP were so kind and incredibly supportive/understanding what it means to be a youth experiencing homelessness. If you are a youth. Or you know someone who needs help, please reach out to them I promise you'll leave feeling lighter.”

They explain everything to you and you can ask questions. The process was so easy and I’ll be back next year. Now I’m only speaking from the experience I had. The Frederick MD location on North Market street ain’t no joke. Go get your taxes done without the headache. God Blessed Me because I filed on 3-5, and received a deposit on 3-11. I’m going to tithe and take advantage of some of the programs United Way offers!!! Thank you God”
