“My 17yo chihuahua passed away over the weekend, so I brought in her unfinished food, medication, and a few other items to donate this week. The staff at the shelter were friendly and kind. I greatly appreciate their empathy, and that the food and medication won't go to waste. I also appreciate all the wonderful kitties and dogs in the office that let me give them some love. While I still feel very sad to no longer have my little baby chihuahua, taking my donations to the Humane Society helped me feel better. I'm sure I'll be back with more donations, and hopefully to adopt another companion when I'm ready.”
“Food for lunch is very original for the prices,and if not buying lunch the menu is very good and pricing off the menu when you are not getting lunch the prices are still very good and food is very tasty.”
“Rarely do you find businesses whose staff are very obviously happy and care about their work and take pride in their workplace. Besides the extensive stock, this store is organized, items are clean, and fairly priced. Whatever the leadership is doing, It is evident in the attitudes of the staff and volunteers pleasantness . “St. Vincent de Paul has helped me out over 5 years ago.
At the time, I was unemployed and facing eviction. My case manager at the time referred St. Vincent de Paul to me. I called them up, a nice gentleman actually responded and let me know that I can come to the office to talk about my situation. The next day, I showed up, he prayed with me and handed me a check to cover my rent. I was so grateful that someone actually cared about my situation without judgment.
If you are in need, please go to St. Vincent de Paul. You will not be disappointed. The staff there are very caring, will listen to you without judgment, will not laugh at you behind your back with other staff members and will see to it that you get what you need.”

“Hello. I was a former SHIP student. I joined them leaving a domestic violence shelter, and under their RRH program they handed me the keys to my room and I was overjoyed with gratitude. My situation was really difficult before I was introduced to them, they helped with food, and got a free bed delivered from 'Heavenly Sleep,' under their Partnership program. They went so far as signing me up for Second Chances Garage and I experienced the joy of receiving a vehicle for the first time. SHIP were so kind and incredibly supportive/understanding what it means to be a youth experiencing homelessness. If you are a youth. Or you know someone who needs help, please reach out to them I promise you'll leave feeling lighter.”
“Y’all, the United Way was AWESOME every step of the way. I HIGHLY recommend going on the website to see if you meet the requirements. 10 out of 10!!! They explain everything to you and you can ask questions. The process was so easy and I’ll be back next year. Now I’m only speaking from the experience I had. The Frederick MD location on North Market street ain’t no joke. Go get your taxes done without the headache. God Blessed Me because I filed on 3-5, and received a deposit on 3-11. I’m going to tithe and take advantage of some of the programs United Way offers!!! Thank you God”
