About US Postal Service
The US Postal Service location in downtown Frederick offers a mix of practical conveniences and some common challenges. The lobby is open after hours and is clean, with supplies, interior mailboxes, P.O. boxes, postage kiosk machines, and tables. There is plenty of free parking in its own bright lot, which has two large mailboxes, including one drive-up chute. The entire office is clean and handicap accessible. During business hours, it is often crowded and the clerk lines can be semi-long, though they move pretty quickly. Parking can otherwise be a challenge, with limited short-term free spaces. The lobby doors are sometimes locked early, before the stated time. Employees, however, are consistently described as very friendly, helpful, accommodating, professional, and efficient. Experiences for services like passport applications are noted as very pleasant and quick. While the location can be busy, especially before holidays, the line time is considered short given the influx of people. The kiosk machines and clerks accept all kinds of credit cards.

It's the post office. Can be very, very busy at times with long lines. I always use self serve shipping so I'm out of there fairly quickly.

Always crowded and 2 of the 3 DIY machines aren't operable for processing packages.

Bring your patience because there is always a line. The clerks I encountered were polite and efficient.
