“I go to the one on Frederick Avenue all the time, but it is kind of a ways away from me. I live on Muddy Branch Road, and I shop at the Giant over there, so I saw that the Oak Barrel and Vine was going to open up there some time soon. I was heading to the club on Friday, and I decided to stop by the shopping center just to see if the store was open. It had been under some renovations or construction for a little time, but the one day I stopped to see if it was open, it actually was!! 😍
I immediately went in and looked for my favorite Blackberry wine and ended up getting one. I didn't spend too much time in there, but I have found so many amazing things in these stores! Everyone in there was super nice and chill, and I cannot wait to go back there. I'm so happy to have this amazing store close to me!
This store is better than any liquor store. My favorite part is just browsing the locally owned sections and finding stuff that's brewed in DC or Frederick or Southern Maryland, and being able to support businesses that are local! I will be back here!”

“Today was my first visit to this store (I usually go to Grape Escape). I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! It was nothing fancy but a lovely little shop with pretty congruent prices VS other shops in the area. The attendant was extremely kind and helpful, Purchase was simple and he didn’t look at me like I was some sketchy teen buying for his younger siblings pool party (i’m in my mid 20’s) overall recommend for those looking for a quick bottle or can. Love that they sell soft drinks and snacks too! 10/10! ?”
“Family oriented over all the best place to come not just for beers and wine but a good friendly human interaction! I have been coming for years and I never once felt like I was someone random! Ever worker there treats me like I am family! Also they care for what you drink and will make sure it’s fully stocked next time you come! Sells everything as well vapes they do it all! I will forever be coming to this place! Never disappoints!”

“Great customer service. Some of the best craft beer selection in the Gaithersburg/Montgomery Village area. They are happy and eager to order specialty brews for you, as well. They appear to specialize in carrying local brews such as DuClaw, Heavy Seas, and Flying Dog, but they also have Lagunitas, Dogfish, and Stone. I strongly recommend dropping by if you're looking to buy some delicious craft brews!”

“Today was a very difficult day as one of our amazing friend passed away and we had his celebration of life for him. Last week, when I went to buy the beer and wine for this important day, the owner helped me select the best wine for this gathering and guide me on how much I would possibly need, she even gave me a discount to help with the large purchase and allowed me to return what was not used. Her kindness meant the world to us. Our friend was so loved and a sweet soul, and we just needed someone like her to guide us, make it easier on this difficult day. “When I'm visiting friends in the Flower Hill/Montgomery Village area, I always stop by BJ's Beer & Wine, which is located in the same shopping center as a Giant Food and Montgomery County Liquor store. How convenient right? They have a great selection of beer and wine at a good price. Some of my favorites include Strongbow Gold Apple Hard Cider, Stella Artois Cidre, Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Hard Cider, Angry Orchard Party Pack, Mike's Party Pack, Smirnoff Pink Lemonade, Not Your Father's Root Beer, Madria Sangria Traditional and Moscato, and their selection of local wines.”

“I’ve been coming here for at least 6–8 years because I genuinely love the atmosphere and the drink selection.
The reason I’m leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of one particular waitress. This isn’t based on a single visit—I’ve noticed the same thing every time I’ve come in, which is usually once or twice a month. She consistently comes across as unfriendly and dismissive, making customers feel like they’re inconveniencing her rather than being welcomed.
She also consistently wears a face mask. During the COVID pandemic, that was completely understandable and expected. However, years later, when she’s the only employee still wearing one every time I visit, it leaves me wondering whether there’s an ongoing health concern that customers should be aware of or whether it’s simply a personal choice. If it’s the latter, that’s absolutely her right, but as a customer, it can create unnecessary uncertainty.
I still enjoy this place and will continue coming back because the overall atmosphere and drinks are excellent. I just hope management addresses the customer service experience so it matches the quality of everything else.He”
