“Great local wine and spirit store. Bout a week ago (Shmurda voice)!!! I realized I was low and Sunday was nigh so I stopped by Wine and Barrel to get some spirits for my soul. Always clean. Always friendly. Always helpful and will come from behind the counter to assist. And IF (only if) something is open they are willing to allow taste test. The XXL Wine in Apple is delicious!!! 16% had my head bobbling. If you’re on Grand Central (or nah) great place to purchase your spirit groceries. Shop Local!! Be kind to one another it’s hard at here for business owners just like it is for consumers.”
“Really large store with a wide selection of everything you want and more. Their prices were much better on some things and slightly higher on others. I went there on a Sunday to grab last minute party supplies. Parking lot was congested due to foot traffic to other places in the busy shopping center but was well worth the drive up Liberty Rd and scenic unmemorable parking lot walk.”

“I had an outstanding experience here and felt compelled to leave a review. From the moment I walked in, the owner went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for. He didn’t just point me in the right direction, he personally took the time to walk around the store with me and made sure I found what I needed.
What impressed me even more was what happened after I left. I realized I might have left my sunglasses in the store, so I called back. Instead of rushing me off the phone, he took the time to thoroughly check the store to see if they had been left behind. That level of customer service and genuine care is hard to find these days.
It’s refreshing to see a business where the owner truly values every customer. My experience was nothing but positive, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this store to anyone looking for a great selection and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be back!”
“Small store. Not the biggest selection but it has its perks. Bourbons I don't normally see in pints helped begin my bourbon journey. Good price on beer and usually one of the first to have S.A Oktoberfest”
“Shopper's is a nice store to visit. They don't have the strongest selection of wines but they have enough. The service is good and the staff are helpful. As with the wines they don't have a string selection of beers but they have enough I would recommend this establishment.”
“My mom taught me about wine. “I don’t care whether you spend a dollar or a thousand on a bottle, it’s about what you like. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.” Number 2, “Find a wine store and someone who will work with you and learn your tastes over time.” What is so nice about the French Paradox is that they have a full range of wines to satisfy your palate and respect your budget. If you want a beast of a Bourdeaux, or a really nice Zinfandel from California that won’t break your budget, they have these and the range in between; the wine tastings are very well curated and showcase this. Most recently I tried the Harvey & Harriet Red Blend from Paso Robles and a week later I’m still trying to figure it out. I would not have known about this without stopping in for one of their tastings, and if I read about it I probably would have passed it over.
When I’m invited to dinner and I want to bring a really nice bottle of wine Matt and Ian have never failed to impress my hosts. “What are they serving?” “This isn’t something you’d normally buy but it will go really with…” The store also has a really interesting assortment of spirits, fresh bread, cheeses, and pastries. Gem of a store, highly recommended.”
“This is my go-to local spot. They're always stocked with what I need and I can count on my fave wines being in the fridge when I need it. I once recommended they order a new wine I liked by a local winery and they did it! It's now a mainstay and a big seller (you're welcome). The customer service is always pleasant. Love this place!”

“One of the few liquor stores in the area that actually feels like a store and not a gas station. It's large enough to find almost anything you need for any celebration. Friendly and helpful enough staff top it off to make it my go to stop for liquor.”

“Last month my wife hit a deer nearby. She was OK, but the car was damaged with flapping fender and the hood wouldn't stay closed. I didn't want to tow, home was 10 min. away. The gentleman in the store helped me with tie wraps and sticky tape, so I could get the car to a derivable shape. Seeing that I was upset with the accident he even gifted me a mini of gin to take the edge off! (I drunk it when we got home). Being upset I forgot to ask for the name, all I can say he is a true asset to the community!”

“MUCH better than the Liquor Soppe up by the library. For example at hampstead Liquor I can turn in a winning scratch off for $150 and they will give me the money. The Liquor shoppe by library refused to pay out sighting that they only had $43 in the register. AND, I've never gone to Hampstead Liquors at 950 for example, to find their door is already locked. They also seem to care about the customer and the business in general. Great selection and worth the extra <10 minute drive.”
