“The people that I talked with were polite and efficient. I sent an email and the next day they were on the phone setting up the donation. The tow truck arrived the following day within the time frame I was given. Everything was handled very well.”
“The presence of the Lord is in GMSAM. The church is led by a God-ordained and highly anointed Pastor who leads his flock by the unadulterated word of the living God. GMSAM is a true end-time ministry that cares about the souls of all who enter their doors, while ministering through evangelism to communities who have yet to come in.”

“It's very welcoming and clean. The boys met other children at "the house" who traveled here for their own medical journeys. They got to bond with other kids. It really does brighten parents up when you see the outlook of our children playing and talking about life. Changes my perspective as a human being.”
“Fantastic sunny Saturday midafternoon *Trunk or Treat* event to promote and bless Agape & Charity! ?????✝️Mr. Ernest, Ms. Louise, Ms. Tina (in-charge!), and Ms. Tammy all led a great & Godly crew to serve the “coolest kids” and make The Master Carpenter known to all SE DC! ❤️{We must always, always, always offer up a humble thanks to The DC Dream Center… for readily & clearly there is indeed a Godly Awakening underway!}**Amen! ?????✝️— ? ????**”
“The quality and variety of foods offered puts this meal service above a lot of others out there! They take allergens, dietary needs, and dietary preferences into consideration!”
“The place was beautiful, nice ambiance and great space utilization. I recommend to anyone looking for A venue. Their location is kind of hidden behind A storage facility but it's the perfect location for A private event.”

“A great selection of cards, paper, and other gifts made by local artists. I haven't taken any of the classes, but if you are into crafts and art it seems to offer amazing skills and equipment.”
“Good place to find your pet. They always have lot of cats and dogs ready for adoption. Shelter seems clean, animals healthy and the staff are friendly, helpful as well.
The adoption process was very quick !”
“The proctors are so kind! I had to retake a test an entire year later and they remembered me! Granted, the first time I was 34 weeks pregnant and they were definitely concerned that I would go into labor in the middle of my test, but still. They asked after the baby and got me set up for my retake. So nice!”
“08/24/2024-I volunteered for the “ Health and Wellness Fair” from 2-6 pm . Everything was free! The weather outside was hit but there were many vendors, talks, and giveaways both indoors and outside! Food! Fun! and Folks! Great day! Great event! Great time!”

“A great place to get homeless services. They offer hot breakfast daily as well as bagged lunches to go. Housing case managers although I haven't used their housing services are on deck five days a week.”
“I walked from Grosvenor Place to Suburban Hospital, from there took old Georgetown Road to 355, to Randolph Road to Cherry Hill Road although way to knight Columbus, Minor Inn. And back.”
“Very nice facility. Organized, beautiful bulletin boards. Informative literature . Plenty of fun classes for all ages . The staff is very knowledgeable and polite. Love this place .”
“Great club, especially if you like the concept of an outdoor range and private membership, i.e. you get to know the people you’re shooting with. Very economical, if you’re serious about your shooting and don’t need to rent your gear. Lots of support from fellow members and a chance to try out new things like archery and precision shooting. Membership is open to the public, even though it’s private.”

“Touching memorial dedicated to those who have been disabled through service to their country. The site contains plenty of seating, a water reflecting pool, statements regarding wounded soldiers from eminent leaders throughout history, and a series of glass panels containing stories and information about disabled heroes. Nice place to sit and relax and contemplate the cost of liberty.”
“Casey Trees is the greatest. This was a recertification for Casey Trees Advocates. We got to practice our skills after a delicious brunch. I've taken workshops on tree identification, planting, pruning, and advocacy, and I've done all of those activities plus removing invasives and surveying street and park trees. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Its mission is restoring, enhancing, and maintaining the tree canopy of the District.”
“[Part of Giving Tuesday 2019] I can only write from the perspective of a volunteer/donor, but Martha's Table seems to have a strong mission towards helping children and families in the DC area. Our class wanted to organize a clothing/food drive, and Martha's Table seemed to have the most bang for your buck. You can always donate in liquid like every other organization, but not as feasible for someone on the student lifestyle. There's plenty of drop-off locations for clothing and baby items across the city. If you can give food items like canned and dried goods, you gotta go to their Maycroft location on Columbia Rd NW. Easy to just reserve a 15-minute appointment on their website and drop off our load. I see their trucks all around the city serving the community - here's to hoping everyone's littles go a long way.”
“We wondered into the Earth Conservation Center on a Saturday morning and were pleasantly surprised that there was someone in the building who gave us a tour! Definitely a hidden gem in Buzzard Point in SW DC!!”

“This is an amazing organization to help those who aren't so fortunate themselves. They also serve as a great resource for people looking to gain experience in the culinary/food service industry.”
“Nestled within the 446-acre grounds of the United States National Arboretum lies a true hidden gem - the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum. This serene and meticulously curated outdoor exhibit showcases an extraordinary collection of miniature trees, known as bonsai and penjing, that have been painstakingly cultivated and cared for over decades. As you approach the museum's entrance, a sense of peaceful tranquility immediately envelops you. The beautifully landscaped pathways lead you through a series of distinct gardens, each highlighting different styles and traditions of this captivating horticultural art form. The Bonsai Museum's centerpiece is the Bonsai Pavilion, an elegant, traditional Japanese-style structure that houses some of the most extraordinary bonsai specimens in the world. Each tree, carefully selected and maintained by a team of skilled horticulturists, tells a story of patience, precision, and a deep reverence for nature.Wandering through the pavilion, you'll be struck by the remarkable diversity of the bonsai collection, which spans centuries and encompasses a wide range of species – from towering pine trees to delicate Japanese maples, each sculpted into intricate, miniaturized masterpieces. The subtle nuances in the trunk shapes, branch structures, and foliage patterns are a testament to the incredible skill and artistry of the bonsai masters who have cultivated them.Beyond the Bonsai Pavilion, the museum's grounds also feature the Penjing Museum, which showcases the equally captivating art of penjing – the Chinese counterpart to Japanese bonsai. Here, you'll discover a world of imaginative landscapes and whimsical interpretations of nature, where small trees, rocks, and other natural elements are artfully combined to create serene yet dynamic compositions.Throughout the museum, informative signage and thoughtfully designed exhibits provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the history, techniques, and cultural significance of these living works of art. Guided tours and educational programs offer even more insights into the intricate practices and philosophies that underpin the art of bonsai and penjing.Whether you're a seasoned horticulturist, a student of Japanese or Chinese culture, or simply someone in search of a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum is a truly remarkable destination. It's a place where the natural world and human artistry converge, inviting visitors to slow down, appreciate the beauty of the miniature, and connect with the timeless rhythms of the natural world.”
