“I can’t believe how good the phlebotomist was. Our 18 month old had a rough time at lab corp last week. They tried twice with a large gauge needle and bruised her arms. She was screaming and crying and blood was going everywhere. When the mobile phlebotomist drew her blood, she made it seam nearly effortless and our daughter barely cried compared to that catastrophic at labcorp. I hope we don’t need to get blood work done on her again when she’s this young, but if we do, we will definitely be using phlebotomy on wheels again!”

“I’m one of those people with extremely difficult veins. I always make sure to mention this when getting blood drawn because I usually get stuck at least 2 times before getting the baby needle in my hand (where I always encourage the phlebotomist to go). Well Tanisha is one of the resident experts here and she found a new spot! She said “watch this” ??? Thanks Tanisha!”

“Fantastic location. Two wonderful women were running the show when I was in here around 12:30 today, both were excellent and professional. Denise, who took my blood- a near impossible task- was absolutely amazing. She was gentle and effective and quick despite me being a a tough stick. I go to this location annually because they are the best for bloodwork.”
“I got blood drawn this morning. I was a walk in, waited for maybe 15 minutes. Raven was the only one working there. She was running the front desk and taking care of all the blood draws. She did such a great job. Very professional, efficient and friendly.”
“Steph is a god send! She is the only person who has been able to stick my son once and get his blood. We have been in the emergency department where they had multiple people try with UV lights and ultrasound and still couldn’t get it. Literally thank god for people like her, I was about to just not get my son’s blood drawn because I didn’t think any of us could get through the trauma of it again. Would give a thousand stars if I could! Whatever they pay her it should be double!”

It's a little disconcerting not to have that usual and familiar human being to help check you in, but it's also quick to do the self service.
When I was there the folks that were working the screening area were super duper nice. Patient, engaging and actually funny!
And while the healthcare worker that did my blood draw was pleasant, I found it very strange that they left all the exam room doors open, it was uncomfortable to see and hear other patients, and I was a little uncomfortable with people being able to see me.
Otherwise it was quick and easy...”

I think LabCorp needs to let the other employee who was working the front desk this morning know that this is the kind of experience they should provide all patients. Unfortunately, this second employee has very short, abrasive, and dismissive to me and another mother/daughter combo that was checking in. It goes a long way to set the tone for those who may be worried about having blood drawn, may need language assistance, or may just be visiting for the first time.
