“Nick's has been consistent for as long as I can remember...from the Clinton location to Waldorf to Prince Frederick. It's my preferred resource for meats and probably beer (for my husband) and mini wine bottles (for cooking!). Staff are always helpful and friendly even when they're swamped with business.”
“I just wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible service I received from Carl during my visit today. From the moment I asked for help, he went above and beyond, not only did he help me find every item I was looking for, but he did it with genuine warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm.
He didn’t just point me in the right direction he walked with me, made sure I found exactly what I needed. What truly stood out, though, was the way he engaged in such friendly and thoughtful conversation. It felt less like a chore and more like catching up with a friend who genuinely cared.
Carl showed initiative, heart, and a level of customer service that’s rare to come by these days. His attitude completely brightened my day, and I left the store feeling not only satisfied with my shopping but also uplifted by the interaction.

“Nicest people that work in any grocery store anywhere in Maryland first off!!! Fresh veggies , hot bar , any name brand you want . Cheaper than the BX , Giant or Safeway . Much closer to home also . BUT ! There is a BUTT !!! ( there is always 1) BUTT THEY HAVE THE BEST MEAT DEPARTMENT OF ANYWHERE THAT YOU GO ?!!! Try me on that one !!! Go to any meat department and get a fresher cut, better selection of any cut !!! The meat man there is ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️! I picked up 3 of these for my self and family for my Father's Day meal ... “Only reason there's not 5 is their self checkouts are buggy. The produce department here is where I go when I don't have the farm stand. All winter long it stays fresh and looks great. Smaller but good looking meat department as well.”
“The staff at Dunkirk Safeway, including the management, cashiers, deli, meat/seafood department and pharmacy, is very friendly and willing to help customers. The store is neat and well-stocked. The manager is often seen out on the floor or in various departments assuring that shelves are well stocked and that things are running smoothly.”
“Last week during my shopping at Giant in Prince Frederick, I noticed an employee Ashley she was shopping herself for a pickup customer. She was very polite, she told me which aisle I could find it and also asked if I would like her to take me to it, she immediately stopped what she was doing once approached I her asking for assistance on finding the merchandise I looked for throughout the store. (She took me directly to the the aisle I searched in for about 10minutes myself and couldn't find). This made my shopping a lot easier by taking me straight to the item I insisted on getting. There needs to be more employees who provide excellent customer service in a professional manner and quickly as well. She will be the reason I continue to shop at this Giant location. Being new to the area she even asked if there was anything else she could help me with and blessed my day. WAY TO GO ASHLEY!”
“Large and very varied “clearance store” commercial area.The only regret is not having found restaurant(s) outside of the refreshment bar(s) to be able to eat properly and then continue shopping!”
“A great addition to Prince Frederick! The store was bright and clean, however, I must have caught them on a bad night. The shelves were low on stock. The meat section was decimated. Otherwise, the staff seemed friendly when you spoke to them. I loved the Irish butter, that was actually from Ireland and the bacon from Canada. The ground beef that was there was a great price. I definitely plan on going back and I will give you an update.”
“Usually can easily find what I need, however, the aisles are constantly filled.with people putting up stock from large carts which make it hard to get around the store.”
“If you want to buy a new transmission oil pan and pick up a bag of bagels with one trip in the same shopping cart you should definitely come to Walmart. If I can't find it at advanced auto parts I can guarantee Walmart will have something that will work for whatever project you may be taking on. Had to drop my transmission a couple days ago and bull ordered some parts and pieces and I pretty much rebuilt a transmission from the Walmart online store that has been running strong for 2k miles, we'll see about the long run but for now she's minty”
“We went on Black Friday for the gift card sales. They had all of the advertised gift cards. The cashier was also extremely helpful and friendly. She made sure all of the sales prices went through without us asking and she made sure all of the gift cards got activated and the gift receipts printed and all. Great Dollar General.”
“Great clean store, friendly staff. Today when I shopped, my grandson was with me and who I call the Matriach of the Dunkirk store actually remembered him when he was pushing the tot grocery cart and now he's 14 and 6'3". “Floral Department at Safeway in Prince Frederick is Awesome. My husband bought me Roses and they lasted so long. Much longer than I have had them last before. My husband said the floral dept. person was so helpful in picking out the best ones. Great Job!”
“I love the misspellings on the pumps. It reminds me that gas station attendants are people too. I misspelled a text once, and needless to say, it’s a lot less sexy when you tell someone that you love the smell of their “excrement” instead of shirt. Misspellings happen.”

“I definitely miss the old Bowen’s Grocery, but it’s nice to see that a lot of the place still feels the same even with the new name. They’ve kept the local, small-town feel that people have always liked about it. If you stop by the deli, I highly recommend the Firecracker sandwich it’s one of the best things on the menu.”
