“I just had a really great experience with Silver Spring Animal Hospital and they'll now be my dog's primary provider. I've struggled with vet care for my 4-year old pup because she's so fearful and resistant. I found this practice through the Fear Free website, because the vets are certified fear-free, which means they've received training on how to calm down fearful dogs. They worked with me to get a good dose of calming drugs before the visit and they allowed me to stay in the room with her which was really important to me (I want to know how my dog reacts and I know my presence makes her feel better even if she was still uncomfortable). Dr. Benton and all the staff I met were really great and everything was clearly explained to me and they took the time to address all my questions.”

“We recently moved to the area and needed to update my dog’s vaccines. Since we hadn’t found a long term vet yet, I booked a weekend appointment at Banfield. I’ve never loved this chain because I’ve always had to do drop off appointments, but this was a really pleasant experience.

Dr. Tepley and the whole team were so kind. I didn’t catch the names of the man at the front desk or the bet tech who was in our room, but they were all great. They had availability to do the vaccines right away which made a big difference for us. They were super gentle with my 60 lb husky, even carried her into the room when she froze.

They also explained a regional vaccine I might want to consider, but there was no pressure to get it. While I’m not sure Banfield will be our forever vet, I’m really glad we came here and will definitely be back in the meantime.”
