“We just visited here and honestly, we wish we would've found this place when we started remodeling. The owner greeted us the minute we stepped in the store, he and his son made us feel very welcome and both were very knowledgeable in the items we asked about. They will be getting all our business from this point on as our remodeling is continuing.”

“After rupturing a hydraulic hose on my track loader while working at my son's home in Frostburg, I did a quick search for shops who could make us a replacement. Realizing it was 5:45 PM and this shop closed at 6PM, I was certain the project would have to wait until the next day to finish. Needing a larger wrench to remove the hose, I made a beeline to the shop to purchase a wrench so I could at least remove the hose and be ready have a new hose produced in the morning. When I arrived and explained my predicament, instead of making an easy sale of the wrench and heading home for dinner, I was LOANED a wrench, and given instructions to come around back to make the return after removing the burst hose.Already a bit taken aback by the kindness and trust, I hurried to remove the hose and return the wrench. Expecting to return the wrench and hose and wait for a new hose the next morning... instead, I was ushered in the back the shop while the employee proceeded to make me a replacement hose. To top it all off, I was loaned the wrench again to install the new hose and, instead of asking me to hurry back with the wrench, he tells me to go ahead and go back to work and he will stop by on his way home to pick up the loaner wrench! What a breath of fresh air and a demonstration of kindness that is hard to find these days. I can tell you this, I will happily drive out of my way to give this shop my business in the future.THANK YOU for going out of your way to make the day of 2 perfect strangers! It will not be forgotten!”

“Even though this falls under the True Value moniker, this is still a hometown hardware store. I had never been in here prior to my stop on this day and I am kind of glad I did. I walked in with an item in mind to at least look at, if not buy. I'll come back around to that. I wondered around the store just to see what they all had to offer. It reminded me of the hardware store back around home. You know, that quiet like a library feel, and also a bit boring like a library feel. I browsed the shelves and just kept moving. Back to the item I was looking for. When I walked in I was looking for an ice melt that would not harm animal paws. Of course I had just walked right past it. The lady behind the counter saw me and asked if I needed any help. I told her what I was looking for and she basically took me right to the spot I needed to be at. She was wonderful, she told me about each product and walked me through everything. This is how you tell that this a local business, one that is still standing.”
