“We enrolled our daughter here when she was just about 2 years old. As many parents, I was extremely nervous and hesitant. However, from the very beginning the staff was extremely personable and reassuring. As a mom, you want to feel that your child is safe, loved, and in a nurturing environment. The staff here made sure that we felt reassured and confident that our daughter was in good hands which made the transition easier.

Since starting here, I have noticed greatly how our daughter has had tremendous growth in not only her developmental skills but also her social skills. All of her teachers have been attentive and provide her with the individual help she needs to continue to progress. They also provide plenty of interactive activities that keeps her engaged and learning.

Overall, we have had such a positive experience here. We truly consider Celebree our family and they have made a tremendously positive impact on our daughter. I would recommend them to any parent who’s asked.”

“I want to give my recommendation for La Petite of Bowie. We have had one child attend for the school year (age 3/4) and both for summer camp (age 5/6). It is a very well structured environment where the kids not only learned lessons and played, but they were happy every day to be there and sad when it was time to go. Learning lessons even continued during summer camp! The leadership, Ms Daphne and Ms Teresa, stay busy but always make time to address parental questions or concerns. They know all of the kids, and the kids know and are fond of them. I actually enjoyed the cross pollinating of classes as each teacher brings a different strength and character. Our youngest son is slow to warm in general, but became very attached to both of his teachers. There are also video feeds available for parents who are curious about their child or the daily class activity. I strongly encourage parents looking for good instruction and care by seasoned professional teachers for their children (and not just young folks who need a job) to consider them, but don't hesitate. Seats are DEFINITELY in high demand, and for good reason. The price may be considered a bit high by some, but we felt it was worth it when compared to prior experiences and seeing the end results in our kids.”

“This is my daughter last year there and is a bitter sweet moment because this center has been nothing but great to us .
My daughter started at 2 years old did her final potty training here , has learned all her number , colors and even a little bit of sign language. The staff are amazing !! “I greatly appreciate the staff at Academy at Galway. I was nervous about my free spirited, yet shy toddler going to pre-k after always being home with family and having one on one attention. She can be emotional and quiet. However the decision to send her was not that hard because I have had experience with Academy at Galway many years ago when my now 16 year old daughter attended. I can say I am extremely grateful and happy I made the decision to send my daughter. Just like many years ago the staff there are amazing. The nervousness I felt went away quickly. The director was extremely understanding with how nervous I was and answered all of my emails and questions. The staff kept me updated especially her first few weeks. They’re attentive. They didn’t get upset that she was more emotional and scared in the beginning. They were patient with her and as a mother that’s all I could ask for. Knowing my child is being well cared for when I am not around. My daughter comes home everyday and is excited to tell me about her day. She may have days where she’s upset that things didn’t go her way but she is learning about being kind, sharing, boundaries. All of the things she needs to be successful as she moves to kindergarten. On weekends she counts down the days until it “almost a school day!” The teachers have been helpful with my concerns and they communicate often. My shy little girl is more outgoing and now super talkative.”

“My family and I recently moved to this area so we wanted to find a curriculum based daycare & after care similar to what we had previously. We were happy to have met Ms. Dess and her team welcome us into their lovely facility - it is clean, organized and includes an indoor gym with a spacious playground. So far, it has been a great experience with the teachers who are attentive and care deeply about providing support to our children. All meals and snacks are provided which helps make our mornings smoother. Rates are reasonable and competitive for this area, however it is lower than Celebree nearby.”

“My daughter has been at this daycare for a little over a year. As a a teacher and educator myself, I am very happy with the care and education my daughter is receiving at Little Miracles. We are so lucky to have found Ms. Carla. As a new mom and coming out of the pandemic, I was more than anxious to send my little one to a daycare. Little Miracles has been wonderful for my daughter and for our family.When we were first looking for daycare centers, we were struggling to find a center that we could afford and one that had room. Within an hour of contacting Ms. Carla that first summer, we were able to hear back from her and schedule an appointment to see the facility. At the time, we needed to tour while there were no kids there (of course due to the pandemic), but we were so thrilled by how our daughter took to Ms. Carla.When our daughter started, Ms. Carla assured us that our little one was happy and cared for by sending picture updates and all the fun little crafts home. She was active, learning, and playing. Our little pandemic baby was so fulfilled.The curriculum is rigorous and keeps our little one always coming home with new things she has learned. For a day care, the learning is age appropriate and challenging. Along with all the crafts, ABCs, counting, now days of the week and months have been taught to my daughter (she astounds me every week by the new things she is learning) - Ms. Carla is the one who potty trained my baby and helped us follow the routine at home. Without her, I have no idea how I would have done it. Seriously, she knows kids and she is the professional.Ms. Carla has been steadfast with her Covid protocols and this has helped her daycare stay safe and clean for all kids. The center is much smaller than other comparable centers which is best for our daughter. Ms. Carla and her team is attentive, caring, and treats all kids like her own.As a family, we deeply appreciate her service, her love towards our little butterfly, and her guidance and grace for us as new parents to support us in this journey together.”

“Our son was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, so we were initially hesitant about sending him to daycare. When he turned two, we decided to enroll him part-time at Bowie KinderCare — and we’re so glad we did.

From the very beginning, the teachers were kind, caring, and attentive. They made the transition smooth for both us and our son. He did face a few challenges in the 3-year-old classroom due to frequent teacher changes, but things improved significantly afterward.

“Educare is a magical and wonderful place! The staff and teachers are amazing. Our 2 children attend and we adore it.TEACHERS: are amazing! Everyone is so friendly, professional and helpful. Most of the teachers know our kids by name even if they are not in their class.FACILITIES: The facilities are beautiful with friendly inviting furniture and toys. The playgrounds and grounds are top notch.CLASSES: Our 2 year old and 4 year old adore their friends and teachers. In our 2 year old class they send detailed logs of eating, diapers and sleep. They check in every day to see our our daughter did overnight and they let us know if anything is ever off. They only allow family’s on campus.PROGRAMS: they have monthly virtual wellness and support groups. Each family has a Family Engagement Specialist who checks in frequently to make sure you have everything you need. Ours Ms. Black is outstanding!INCLUSION: they are committed to inclusion and our childrens special needs are respected and uplifted. They have all Early Intervention services right on campus and Ms. Nora is great at communicating.We highly recommend Educare for all DC residents. As a Head Start site, all DC residents are eligible and they hold most spots for folks based on income. So even if you don’t think you’ll get a spot, just apply! We are so glad that we did!!!”

“I finally found this place again! I used to go here years ago from the age of 3 or 4 to 8. It was an amazing daycare, there was always so much to do and they always had fantastic day trips to the pool, skate rink, and bowling. My sister also stayed here when she was growing up. We both have great memories from here and made so many friends. If you're looking for a good place to leave your kid for after school care or summer camp then this is it. “We had a great experience at Goddard. As a parent, I understand that childcare needs are very specific and what works for one family does not work for another. That being said, my child was well cared for, learned, grew and was nurtured but the staff at Goddard. We did experience a changeover in staff, however I NEVER worried about my child being mistreated or not well cared for. I would do it again and I appreciate the advise that I received regarding K+ options for my child as well as the community of parents and families there. I’d choose this experience again in a heartbeat.”
