“This Olney TJ Maxx isn't my favorite as I believe the town of Olney doesn't get as many nice items as other towns. The men's department is quite beyond lame. Often I've gone in for what I think is a simple item and had no luck. Many times I've gone here and not enough people are at the checkout and customers start getting irate.

However, that being said, my last 2 visits have been fruitful. I can't find fault with the handbag selection, they do a good job getting a decent variety and one can even find a Kate Spade or Coach treasure among the other brands. They have a price point for everyone. They also have a good selection of luggage but make sure you test all the zippers, wheels and handles, inside and out. I find the luggage prices on the high side for a discount store, but it's still less than elsewhere, but just. (Luggage prices are outrageous anyway, especially now that people are traveling again.)

They also have a decent selection of cosmetic tools, lotions, housewares, etc. If you need a gift, you will probably find something here, but don't count on a nice scarf, there's been nothing to be had for the past several months (May-August '24 is when I was looking for a trip.)

Lastly, in my most recent visit, there were plenty of cashiers which was a pleasant surprise and something I hope becomes the norm. (Hiring issues aside, don't get mad at a manager who is shorthanded. I don't believe it's her fault.)”

“The store is always well stocked, the employees greeted me as I walked in. Offered to assist with things multiple times. They even took the time to talk to my child about the toy that she wanted to buy. My only big issues is the bathroom. It smelt like straight URINE. No paper towels. Pee all over the toilet. To be honest it was filthy. I know it’s beyond the employees control what customers do in the bathroom. I would also hope they aren’t supposed to use the same restroom either after what I saw. Maybe hire an overnight cleaning company. Also invest in toilet seat covers. I visited at 11:30am, so this isn’t an employee issue at all in my eyes.”

“Took awhile to find items since they moved sections around. I hate that they removed the price checking sites. That was very helpful. Only one cashier open with a lengthy problem customer. Had to use self checkout which I feel is incovenient. Don't get a discount for doing it!!!!! Store always nice, neat and clean.”

“Like other department stores, Nordstrom has differing levels of inventory in its varied categories of fashion forward items.. The helpers, when you can find one, are always willing to order what you’re looking for from another Nordstrom store. Mostly, what they do have in stock is current for the marketplace and nicely arranged. They have a good mix of standard classic clothing and trendy upscale designs. Much of the seasonal selections are discounted as in other stores of their caliber.
This should be on everyone’s list as a go to spot for much of their seasonal needs. Their return policies and cleanliness are top-notch. All of the sales people try very hard to find and help with selections and what you are looking to buy.
Unfortunately, because of the marketing trends in our current economic climate for in stock inventory is lacking. But we can’t blame Nordstrom for following what is going on in the world.”

“I stopped in to buy a bottle of wine. This store was packed with people and they had a great selection of wines. I really liked how the type of wine was clearly marked by aisle,so I could find my Sauvignon blanc easily. They had quite a variety to pick from. They also had gourmet cheeses, gourmet crackers, and international candies. So, if I am in a hurry and I am making a holiday cheese board, this is a one stop shop. The prices were a little on the higher side, except for sale wines, which were very reasonable. If you are looking for wine, I would recommend giving them a try.”

“This store is in the Rio Lakefront shopping center. It is a short walk from the Barnes & Noble store that I like to go to when I am in area. In March 2022 this store was being remodeled. Masks were still required. The mask mandate has now been dropped. I stop here for grocery essentials from time to time. You would not believe how fast my 3 year old granddaughter & always hungry 5 year old grandson go through snacks and food at home! Pink lady apples & Good & Gather nut and date chocolate bars, apple sauce pouches, organic pasta sauce & tomato ketchup and Chick-fil-A sauce are just some of the stuff we buy at Target. I buy men's clothing and shoes here also. The store brand has a very high quality.The regular price of groceries is good but have risen recently. The sales are even better like 25 percent off two 10 packs of nut and date bars. With 5 percent off when using the target card and target circle deals you can get even better prices. When I did have trouble finding non food items during the remodel the employees were friendly & helpful. Whole sections of the store were moving around. Parking is free in the garage across from the store's front door. There's plenty of parking with 2 more free parking garages just down the street. All free! “My son was looking for a suit for a wedding and we ended up (stressed after a bad experience in another store) at Macy's in Montgomery Mall. We were greeted by Mr Innocence who guided my son through the struggles to find a fitting suit, shirt and tie. Mr innocence was professional, patient and incredibly kind, showing no signs of rushing despite a busy time in the store. Just by eye measurements he suggested the right sizes and he listened to what my son was looking for. A very pleasant, professional experience!”

“*** Review of Store Improvements and Internet Desk*** This store has made a lot of improvements in how it presents visually. I was last in it probably 5-6 years ago. Loyal JCP customer of 30 years. The intimates have been moved up from the basement (yay), all sales floors looked neat, clean, and organized, and all clearance items were either hung decently on racks or folded on sets of shelves. Lighting is better, too. Way to go! Cons: (1) The one dressing room for females in the store (2nd floor, Liz Claiborne) was neat in its lobby and the rooms. That's progress. However, 1 star off for a mature male being in the DRooms' hallway and then one of the DRs with a couple of females, maybe wife and daughter? It made me uncomfortable. No men should be in the rooms or hallways! Please post signs at both ends of this DR hallway: admittance is for WOMEN ONLY, have cameras, and patrol. Also, a male in late teens was sleeping on the one chair in the DR lobby. Put some more chairs in there (men can wait there), patrol, and remove anyone sleeping or clearly not doing business. It looks crummy! Good selection of classic but pretty/cute types of styles for adult women, in natural fabrics, are included and a good selection of petites (also online). One star off (I considered two) for your nasty longtimer in the Internet Dept. on Floor 4. Rude. If you come to this store be ready to bring complete paperwork on every Internet item you are returning (even an item JCP sells but is shipped by another vendor) or pull all the order deets up on your phone. My receipt in the shipping bag from the vendor was no good to her. I was treated rudely and dismissively, loudly, while I was 100% polite. I'll never go back. JCP, please train your managers and staff, JCP, on how to treat customers (of ALL demographics) well and what Corporate expects. Many staff here seem to act cold and not care. Try blind shopping. Customers have LOTS of choices of other places to shop. I'd rather drive 45 mins. to a smaller JCP (nicer staff), but I applaud that you have been making changes.”

“From Drive Up to Customer Service to help on the floor, to help in the Ulta department, everyone rock stars. Long story short, my drive up order was missing. Had to go in and shop the order with customer service. They ended up finding everything! 10/10 experience. Thank you!”

“This Target has taken too much of my money. But in all fairness, I allowed it to happen. This is the closest one to my apartment, especially since the one in College Park proper shuttered its doors.Be careful going in here as it is always busy. With the business they got going on here you are rarely able to get a cart. Which, in hindsight, is a good thing. We all know how Target runs can go. You end up with many more items purchased than you intended. The only thing I do not like here is the fact that the layout is all weird. They have their personal car items split up and wrapped around corners. The main aisle of the store splits them and if you want to jump from aisle to aisle to pick up say some deodorant and then some body wash. you are in for a treat. Also, this is the only place that I have seen where the personal care items that aren't split from the rest flow right into the cleaning section. So, no, that green liquid in a bottle is not mouthwash, double check.As far as their stock, they always seem to have enough on the shelves. I have not ever come here and not gotten what I intended to get. Each run here has been a success. They also seem to always sale out of whatever they have in their seasonal section as it always appears to be in limbo.”
