“So blessed to have the neighborhood Petco! The staff are amazing so sweet. I was running late to get to the pet store barely making it before closing. I had called ahead of time and they pulled the items I needed. I was in and out in two minutes right at closing. They were kind and pleasant. I do enjoy going there not only for convenience but additionally the customer service.”
“I've been coming here for years now. Not only is their selection the best, but the staff is amazing. They can answer any question and understand the product they're selling. My dog loves coming and seeing her favorite people here.”
“We are a non-profit animal rescue that participated as a vendor at the Super Pet Expo in Manassas. While we had some concerns about the new location, we were blown away at the effort they put in to make this show awesome. There were so many people and we had an awesome time! Can't wait til next year”
“It was an amazing experience! My puppy was badly matted and they did a fantastic job preserving his coat as much as possible and completely clearing out all the knots. He is so soft and fluffy and more importantly, he was so comfortable there with all the love he got. Thank you to the team at Elysiem!”
“This store has been a fixture in Highland for decades. You can find everything you need from horse feed to cat toys. Beautiful outdoor decor. And some really unique indoor items too. When I want something special I know where to go.”
“Expensive, but they do a great job. The parking lot is just gravel so it makes it hard to take your animal in and out. It's not handicap accessible, so that's something to take into account.”

“The new facility is absolutely beautiful! The staff were so friendly, and there were tons of pups looking for their forever homes. ❤
I always get a little sad when I drop off donation items, but my last few visits to the new facility have really put me at ease. It’s comforting to know that the animals now have so much more space, along with more staff and resources available to care for them.
If you’re able to donate, please consider doing so. Every little bit counts and can make a difference in the lives of these animals! 🐾❤”
“Last weekend, I went to your store, desperate for a miracle food that my 13 year old golden, Max, would eat. I had the pleasure of meeting Joe, one of your employees. He helped me find the best options for Max. And I told Joe that dogs just don’t live long enough. He gently replied “dogs are here as long as they’re supposed to be”. Simple and profound advice that changed my whole outlook. Thank you, Joe from Petco!”
“I have been volunteering at Wilson Parrot Foundation for 4 months and have really enjoyed learning about parrots and their care. They have a room for the small parrots, three large aviaries for the big parrots, and most of the main level for the medium size parrots. I love that they all have cages but are always open so they can socialize and roam. They are well fed every day with fresh fruit and veggies, pellets, and water in each cage. The big birds have huge wooden structures they can climb all over. I recommend this non profit if you want an interesting volunteering experience and really helping the birds.”
“I was surprised to see so many poor reviews for Highland and noticed most of the reviews are quite old. I have been taking my dog to Highland for many years now and they have been wonderful with him. Now he's old and a little cranky and has skin issues, but they are great with him and he always comes home after a grooming looking fresh and adorable. Walter at the front desk is always great, and they are very organized and efficient. Been very pleased with them.”
“I have taken my current dog and my dog before him to be vaccinated by Vetco at my local Petco for at least 15 years. Overall I've been happy with their service. The vets are always very nice and willing to answer questions. Vetco provides me with a report of my and my dog's visit promptly. The only improvement I'd like to see made is for them to allow clients to request a phone call or e-mail the day of their appointment rather than a text.”
“Connie is a dream. She helped my mother and I find pet corrector for barking. She was very helpful and left my mom and I feeling completely understood. I will be coming back! Connie needs a raise! 💙”
“Great selection of pet foods, cute toys and wonderful treats your furry friends. I always enjoy shopping here. One day I hope to walk out with a new bird friend!”
“I want to get some cat litter.Pellets, they were stacked in a pellet in the back, and the staff that lady was thucker was very, very, very helpful and she went to the back and got the bag for me.So I really do appreciate it, that type of customer service is hard to come by these days, so I will definitely
Tell all my family and friends of this specific store location, but honestly, i've never had a bad experience in any pet smart.
So thank you for your help.”
