My daughter is so in love with this daycare that she can't wait until mornings to go see her friends. “I loved bright start when we lived there. I was really upset when the owner sold.I absolutely love Bright Start. I have zero complaints, they are worth every penny. My daughter lights up when she sees her teachers, and that is such a great feeling. She's in the infant room and has come so far developmentally in the few months that she's been there. I love the app updates with pictures and videos. I love the live video stream. I love that they take them outside everyday when the weather is nice. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. The staff are always smiling genuinely, and they love the kids as much as the kids love them. Bright Start is everything you want in a daycare!”

“My daughter has been attending ESBP in Georgetown for about 11/2 years, and we are delighted! It is challenging for a parent to leave their kids somewhere else every day, but I feel at peace when I drop off my little girl at ESBP because I know she is in a caring environment. It is not only about my daughter. The caregivers are genuinely loving and professional at their work. I've seen repetitively how the teachers are so patient with the kids and handle situations very constructively. All the kids are spoken in Spanish, and it is incredible to hear the children using it even when it isn't their language at home. I love ESBP and highly recommend it!”

“Our son attended the toddler program here for 6 months and we were so pleased with the care the school provided to him! He started attending here at 14 months old and we saw large improvements in his development, speech and social skills. The teachers, staff and managers are all very welcoming and caring. We dropped our son off everyday feeling good about his safety, the care, and the education he was being given. We were sad to have to leave the school, but are moving out of the area and thus had to part ways. Highly recommend this daycare!”

“My daughter (7 y) started violin and piano at Del Ray School of Music in Fall 2021. Less than a year, in May 2022 she had her first violin performance at her elementary school. She is happy, confident; her dad and I are so proud of her. All this, thanks to the excellent work of her music teacher Steve Attix. I usually do not take time to give reviews but now I am so happy of my daughter's joy, self confidence and discipline, that I've decided to make it publick for parents looking for a good school of music for their children like I was once before the great experience with Del Ray School of music. “I highly recommend Great Beginnings if you live in the Alexandria area. The staff is very friendly and communicative. Our daughter has been in the infant classroom since she was 10 weeks old. They have shown her nothing but love and attention. This was something that was super important to us with us both working full time. They offer a flexible 3,4, or 5 day schedule which was great for us! We are very thankful for Ms.Nancy in particular because she always informs us of how are daughter is doing and is always so happy to see her at drop off. We have no doubt that our daughter is in great hands. We absolutely love this center and wish we were staying in the area!!”

He learns so much from the creative and age-tailored activities (we love seeing the cool things he does on the app!), he has so much fun playing with friends and on the courtyard playground, and he simply adores his teachers. From Ms. Tabithia and Ms. Judy and Ms. Kayla in infants, to Ms. Monica, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Gabie, and Ms. Destiny in toddlers, he loves his teachers like family, and so do we! We have the piece of mind that he is with attentive, warm, fun, and energetic teachers and caretakers all day, and bringing home all these new skills and milestones to boot.”

“We had an amazing experience with kiddie academy, specifically for our son’s time in the Anglefish room from 3-6 months. The caregivers were communicative, loving, and engaged. Iris is particularly amazing always taking time to talk to us and tell us about our son’s day. She is truly part of what made our experience so positive. The other teachers Brenda, Mercedes, and Ruth are also amazing. Drop off is so much easier knowing your kid is in caring hands. Our experience with kiddie academy has been amazing because of these ladies.”

“NES has been such a wonderful school experience for our 3 year old. The teachers are professional, dedicated, and caring. The school communicates with parents constantly to provide updates and action photos during the day. He’s thriving socially and developmentally, and we can tell he really feels loved by all the staff. His pediatrician is so impressed with how he’s doing on all fronts.The fact that Merit School provides all food for one year olds and older is a huge time saver for us and also means he gets exposed to even more foods than we can expose him to at home.”

“I am not one to write reviews but I wanted to share our experience at Telegraph Road Kindercare in hopes of helping other families make an informed decision in their childcare needs. We currently have 3 children enrolled at this center. We have been with them for approximately 2 years. Under the previous director, we were looking to get out of that place as it seemed everyone was unhappy from teachers to children. About 4 months into our attendance, they brought in a new center director, Ms. Victoria, who has done a 180 degree turn with this place. She has made so many positive changes! What was once a mediocre childcare center, has become one of the best in the area. We speak from experience as we have come from several other centers to include a kindercare, which was beyond horrible (we lasted a week there)! Ms. Victoria, Ms. Alma and their teachers genuinely care about every child in that center. They treat them with kindness and love, as if they were their own.Ms. Victoria is the heart of this place and the glue that keeps it together! Under her supervision, you don’t have to worry about leaving your child for the day, which is our number one concern as parents. They are in great hands! And unlike the previous Kindercare we attended, here we get constant updates through the kindercare app on our children from notes to photos and even videos.Ms. Victoria, Ms. Alma and the staff at Telegraph Road Kindercare are what make this center distinguish itself from others in this area. I HIGHLY recommend this place!”

“I can't say enough good things about Westminster Weekday Preschool. My daughter attended last year and is registered for next year too, and I am an elementary teacher myself. The teachers and administration are so caring and patient, and they helped my daughter when she had a difficult time adjusting. She loves her teachers and her friends. The rates are very reasonable, especially considering the amount of activities and programming WWP offers. The Conscious Discipline approach is a respectful way of teaching children expectations and boundaries while empathizing with their feelings and teaching them to advocate for themselves. We are so lucky to have found Ms. Carla. As a new mom and coming out of the pandemic, I was more than anxious to send my little one to a daycare. Little Miracles has been wonderful for my daughter and for our family.When we were first looking for daycare centers, we were struggling to find a center that we could afford and one that had room. Within an hour of contacting Ms. Carla that first summer, we were able to hear back from her and schedule an appointment to see the facility. At the time, we needed to tour while there were no kids there (of course due to the pandemic), but we were so thrilled by how our daughter took to Ms. Carla.When our daughter started, Ms. Carla assured us that our little one was happy and cared for by sending picture updates and all the fun little crafts home. She was active, learning, and playing. Our little pandemic baby was so fulfilled.The curriculum is rigorous and keeps our little one always coming home with new things she has learned. For a day care, the learning is age appropriate and challenging. Along with all the crafts, ABCs, counting, now days of the week and months have been taught to my daughter (she astounds me every week by the new things she is learning) - Ms. Carla is the one who potty trained my baby and helped us follow the routine at home. Without her, I have no idea how I would have done it. Seriously, she knows kids and she is the professional.Ms. Carla has been steadfast with her Covid protocols and this has helped her daycare stay safe and clean for all kids. The center is much smaller than other comparable centers which is best for our daughter. Ms. Carla and her team is attentive, caring, and treats all kids like her own.As a family, we deeply appreciate her service, her love towards our little butterfly, and her guidance and grace for us as new parents to support us in this journey together.”

“All three of my kids attended Kiddie University over the last 6 years. It's a bit strange that we are no longer a member of the KU family but very happy with our experience. My kids thrived socio emotionally and created bonds with teachers, staff and other kids. The teachers cared for my kids and they were safe. Highly recommend this daycare center.”
