“Long story short here . I needed to retrieve a key from a defunct lockbox for one of my listings . Make no mistake those things are built not to be broken open . It took two guys 30 Mins to pry it open for me using bars and wrenches . And they did it all with a great attitude. This place and team are the absolute best .”

When the store didn’t have a specific item we were looking for in stock, Sam was very helpful and called a few other stores to check if they had it in stock, and asked them to confirm the item was on the shelf (rather than just in the system). It was much appreciated since it saved us the drive for the store that didn’t have it, and we knew which of the two to go to.”

“I recently revisited after moving away a couple of years ago and had forgotten how much I love the Glover Park Ace. From the outside and when you first walk in, it looks like it's going to be small with limited products, but it's surprisingly large considering its location on Wisconsin. They've used every inch of the space to stock a wide selection of products while keeping it well organized and tidy. I do a lot of home maintenance and home improvement projects and the staff here are awesome - super friendly and always nearby and ready to help.”

“Potomac Paint in Arlington has been incredibly helpful throughout our full home renovation. In particular, Khalim was innovative and went above and beyond when staining a T-molding to perfectly match the tricky color of our engineered hardwood. My contractor said it would be impossible unless it was factory-made, yet Khalim somehow made it happen. We were thoroughly impressed! I would say this is the best paint store in the DMV region.”

It's impossible to just run in for one thing and not be gobsmacked by the inventory and array of options that Strosniderr's provides. The Bethesda store in particular is incredible, it's like Home Depot, Bed bath & beyond (RIP), and your favorite outdoor gardening store all rolled into one. If I could give it six stars I would. 😊”

I stopped into Ace Hardware looking for license plate screws for my car that weren’t a common size. I had my young son with me, and Jeff immediately took the time to understand what I needed. Not only did he track down the correct screws, but after noticing I was with my son, he went above and beyond by coming outside and helping me install the license plate on my car.

“I was at a friend’s wedding, there to officiate, when disaster struck. The arch they were going to be married under needed to be assembled but no one could find the screws that came with it. An hour before the ceremony. I ran to the nearest hardware store in my suit to find a box of screws. After some frantic looking around, an employee asked if he could help. I explained what I needed, and within a couple of minutes I had a 20 count bag of screws to do the job. I went to pay, he said to just take them, clearly I needed them quick fast and in a hurry. I told him he just saved a wedding, which I hope made it all worth it. Thank you, for not hesitating to help a stranger. Shop at this store, customer service is incredible!”
“As always a convenient option to rent a tool instead of owning it. Can be hit and miss occasionally as some tools may be older and work out, but you should talk to an associate and examine the tool you are renting carefully for any damage or warn blades, etc. One concern is the lines can be long sometimes, too.”
