“I love this place. The theater is gorgeous and I'm my opinion it doesn't have bad seats even at the very top. Parking garage is free and there's a covered walkway to the theater entrance. I've gone to see a ballet performance and a tango with live music. It's truly incredible and very affordable. I highly recommend.”

“My wife and I really enjoyed working with Mary and her team at VisArts. We had looked at around eight different venues before coming to VisArts. The venue stood out to us due to the space and the flexibility they offered with doing an outdoor wedding versus an indoor one (we opted for an indoor one). The location was also great since we were right by the Cambria Hotel Rockville (a 5-minute walk) and the Rockville metro station, meaning our guests could take the train from the airport. These were all pluses when it came to accommodating our out-of-town guests.
The cost was a bit more expensive than what we were originally considering, and that feeling persisted as we opted for some add-on things like the use of the roof for our cocktail reception, some decor, and a Zoom livestream for our ceremony. In total, it was $6,200 for the room rental package (a Saturday during peak wedding season) and $1,800 for the add-ons. Something unexpectedly nice was that 20% of the cost of our venue package was classified as a donation to VisArts and thus was tax-deductible. We felt good about supporting a local non-profit organization through our wedding.
Mary and her team were incredibly communicative and clear discussing what was expected of both them and us throughout the booking process. Overally, we’d definitely recommend VisArts as a space for anyone considering looking for a venue.

Between April 2022 and July 2022 Latela Curatorial hosted an exhibition of my work in the Silva Gallery and from art selection and curation to the art hanging, from the exhibition materials to the wonderful opening reception everything was professionally done, beautiful and successful. Marta, the owner, is a wealth of knowledge of the art scene so she also puts together great group shows annually and is a great connector of artists, curators, collectors and clients. “I'd like to add another well-deserved five star review for International Art Gallery and Custom Framing. I recently brought in my own frame (purchased used and with another print already inside) and a print that I wished to have installed and custom matted for that frame, and we received excellent attention and advice on the best way to make the print fit and how best to accommodate it with a new mat. The proportions of the new print and the old frame were close but not a perfect match and so I knew some compromises would be required, and the owner (I think it was - I'm sorry we didn't get your name!) walked us through the various possibilities, pros and cons of what I wished to do.The end result is perfect, the compromises so minimal that I don't even remember what they were, and he even made some cosmetic touch ups to the used frame which had a scuff here and there. Our living room now looks that much better with our print framed and looking great, and we'll certainly be back as we continue slowly outfitting our house with artwork. I can highly recommend you visit International Art Gallery and Custom Framing and have them handle any framing work!”

There are often 2 exhibits at a time and during the opening receptions the artists mingle amongst the guests to talk about their work and the creative process. There is also a lively shop where you can purchase unique pieces from featured and past exhibitors.”

They immediately went above and beyond to get it done when I needed it, but they even accommodated a special request in a brilliant, creative, and unique way. “We came here for my wife's birthday to buy her a full yukata. We had been there 4 years prior purchasing some small earthwares that were gorgeous. Everything inside was so beautiful and you can tell the craftsman and store owner took pride in their art. She was also amazing with my wife helping her pick out the perfect yukata showcasing the perfect customer service you see in Japan. We HIGHLY recommend Tokiya Japan and are loyal customers.”
“I love district clay center! I highly recommend it as an introductory pottery studio. It is a large teaching studio (the largest in the area). The teachers are great and knowledgeable. Once you get in a class you are able to drop in on any other scheduled classes to practice. Getting off the waitlist can be a challenge, I recommend signing up for as many waitlists as possible.”
“This is such a cool space hiding under Dupont Circle! Came here for the Common Ground / Common Future exhibit where a bunch of local photographers had works on display. I look forward to seeing more shows here! Worth it just to drop in a see the street art around the perimeter.”
