Today, I stopped in and the owner (?) was offering a complimentary wine tasting, which was such a nice way to learn and try new wines. Whether I'm looking for my go-to favorites or something new or special to try, I always find what I need here. The staff is very knowledgeable and happy to give recommendations, descriptions, etc. Highly recommend checking out!”

“Hollywood Beer & Wine is a local gem. When I go, Andrew is typically behind the counter, and he's always super friendly and helpful to me and the other customers I've seen in the store. Also for a while I got into nonalcoholic beer and Andrew made a point to stock more options at better prices (starting to offer a 12 pack that was cheaper per unit than 6 packs) specifically for me. So speaking from my experience, the customer service here is top notch. Andrew really goes above and beyond. On a different note, the beer selection is pretty outstanding. Lots of local craft beers and tons of imports. The prices are fair, slightly lower than other nearby beer and wines from what I've seen. They have decent options for soju as well. Finally, the overall vibe of the place is pretty charming. The experience is up to today's standards but the place hearkens back to bygone Americana in the best way. Bottom line, as a local spot serving the neighborhood, you really can't get any better than this. What they do, they do very well. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping in.”
