“Ben's Liquors is the best stocked liquor store on the Patapsco Peninsula (Dundalk to Fort Howard). Note thar the prices are a bit higher than some of the competitors.You can also order items he doesn't stock - as long as it is carried by one of his distributors.And his staff - are SUPER friendly!”

“I found Mt. Vernon Spirits by mistake as I thought it looked like a bookstore before I was close enough to read the facade. My partner and I checked it out and it's since been a favorite location to grab a nice bottle of wine and usually a quick drink. While not a bookstore, it still has that same cozy vibe. There are tables and seating set up within the store and a set of dog chess in case you're in the mood for a game. Everyone I've met at this establishment is friendly and helpful. The bartender's rendering of the drink menu is excellent and they've gotten creative with off menu drinks as well. I was surprised to find them open on Thanksgiving and stopped in for a glass of wine with my guests and a couple of bottles for dinner. In addition to a lovely selection of wine they also have a small collection of spirits and beer for sale. I've recommended this store to my friends in the area.”

“Driven by here for years and never gone in because it previously looked a little worn down, and being a beer shopper, figured it would just be Bud and Miller territory. However driving by recently, I noticed things were polished and cleaner and almost brand new looking so decided to make a stop on the off chance they had some Oktoberfest that wasn't available in my normal stores. What a great surprise, everything is bright and clean and well organized with a huge section of beers (most refrigerated too), probably the second best (after Dawson's in SP) selection of variety in a 15-Mile radius. Prices seemed similar, if not a tad higher (I got 12-pack of Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest for $19.99). No lines and staff were moderately friendly. Definitely add this place to your list!”

I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the area to order is in back of the shop and the sales person misdirected us to the bar, where we sat for quite a while before figuring out how and where to order. We stood by the bar for a while hoping to order from the bartender but were ignored by them. Would definitely go back though.”

“Was aiming for 4.5, but you can't do half stars. It's 5 stars for the kind of business that it is. Super-friendly, very welcoming, and great and affordable food. They even have good events like karaoke a lot! Used to come here all the time before I moved from the Baltimore County area. When I visited over Christmas, I got the Fatties Cheeseburger Steak Sub with corn on the cob and a sweet tea. I intentionally got the most expensive Fatties Sub because it wasn't that expensive; total of all that was about $17 (including the $3 drink that almost all bars charge that for).”
“Closest liquor store to my house. Best price on fireball and crown royal apple whiskey in town.The employees are knowledgeable, friendly, and good for a laugh or two. Which, in my case, is what the doctor ordered seeing as I'm there to buy enough whiskey to drown a lifetime of poor choices away, get rid of the alcoholic DT's that make me look like i got "jazzhands," or drink enough that the girl that's normally a 3 out of 10 turns into a 9 out of 10.At any rate, great place that I can walk to obliterated drunk and not get hit by a car or stabbed on the way home.”
