“Jake was amazing! When my realtor mentioned 15 day closing, I was like "Sure" (very sarcastically). But whenever Jake told me what he needed I got it for him and it was posted very quickly.

15 days was a bit of a stretch. But oh no it wasn't. Jake told me I was his second fastest close at SIX days (from the time of ratification to the time of closing).

It was such a pleasure meeting him and working with him. Previously I had been asked time and again for the same documentation; not with Jake. One and done each and every time. I filed an extension for 2023 taxes and that didn't even cause a bump in the road. I had some employment gaps. Again those were resolved very easily. Jake told me what to expect with each of these hiccups and we sailed right through them.

And, I have never been a fan of the escrow process. The whole thing is just too vague and the numbers "game" they play to make sure the bank doesn't miss out on a penny is too obscure. I had always thought 20% was needed to avoid escrow, but Jake said that wasn't true. So now I have a 6.99% 30 year fixed mortgage with no escrow. I am just so tickled!

I cannot thank Jake enough for his diligence and savvy in unsnarling the mortgage process. And in only six days! The only thing I am disappointed about is that he will not help me move. Though i suspect he may be a little tired due to all of mountains he moved/eliminated to get this loan done for me.

“I came to the NFCU on Feb 6, 2024. Deposited a tax refund check and experienced a small set back with the image reading through the ATM. The next day I noticed the check was not pending. I called NFCU spoke with several associates and was told that a check had to be reissued. However when I went into the branch and spoke with Ms. Terri Kipp (branch leader). She went above and beyond to make sure I did not have to wait another 7 to 10 business days to receive my funds. I hope management knows she is a real asset to the company.”

“**Update**I was contacted by a customer service manager who corrected the issue expeditiously and fixed it going forward. Now, I am cautiously optimistic that I will remain a customer of Industrial Bank for the foreseeable future.06.06.2023: This review can be applied to the Forestville and Oxon Hill locations. I went into each of these locations and requested to update my billing and physical address (2.5 years ago and a little less than 2 years ago, respectively). Now that I have an expired debit card, I am being told that I did not have an address change on my account. Although I used this bank to facilitate the purchase of my new home and made the address change based on the transactions on my account, I am being told that I have to go into "a branch" to get a new debit card(45 minutes drive) or wait an additional 2 weeks for it to be mailed after I submit an address change by mail.This is too much of an inconvenience for me as a customer who does most of my business electronically and who had been jumping through too many hoops to maintain my account with Industrial Bank.I was told that my "new card" (never mind the card that they sent to the incorrect address may have been received by someone who will try to use it to gain access to my funds) cannot be sent to me expedited since it wasn't my fault the information was not updated in time.Therefore, I will be withdrawing all of my funds from Industrial Bank and I will NEVER use them again. In addition, I will ensure that all of my family and friends make a better choice for personal banking.”

“Update on the service that I received at the Glenarden branch of Navy Federal Credit Union. I received a call from the Branch Manager Michelle who wanted to reach out to me because I had sent a online complaint. The Manager wanted to know what happened with the member representative Aerial at the branch. I had explained that the member representative stated that she couldn't accept my $10 in coins for deposit and stated that they had to be wrapped. I pointed out that the $10 in coin consisted of $8 in quarters, $1.10 in nickels and .90 in dimes all of which could not be wrapped. The Manager stated that the member service representative said that I didn't want to give the employee the coin and had a change of heart. "This make no sense because I wouldn't drive out of my way to make a deposit and then have a change of heart and then make a complaint". Needless to say the Aerial lied to cover up her incompetence! . The Manager assured me that Navy Federal Credit Union does take coin that can not be wrapped and that the employee has been advised that she was in error for communicating the wrong information. I just wanted to Thank the Manager Michelle for addressing my concerns so quickly!!! .”
