“Amazing help from Terrance! He went above and beyond by coming in on his day off to fix my shower. Not only was he quick and professional, but he also took the time to thoroughly explain the issue to prevent reoccurrences in the future, and he ensured everything was working before he left. Terrance's expertise and positive energy is what makes Avalon a great place to live!”
“Gabrielle Leach was very helpful during the move-out process, she went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. She was extremely attentive to our needs and made the process easy for us. We have loved our time at The Barrett, all staff have been consistently friendly and helpful and have made our time living in this community amazing!”
“The apartment is very good in its ability to handle any issues. The maintenance is very quick and helpful to any problems we have had. The views are really nice and the location is really good.”
“Such a pleasant touring experience! We went in for a tour and Callahan was so helpful and enthusiastic about the property. He happily answered all our questions and let us see a few of the floor plans. The apartments are well taken care of and the community spaces are awesome.”
“I’ve lived in the community going on three years now. The amenities/events are fantastic and the staff (from maintenance, to concierges, to the leasing office) are timely and on top of things. I really appreciate the help the Ahmad provided when I moved apartments. He was patient and thorough, making the process smooth and straight forward. He answered every question I had (there were a lot) and for that I am so grateful! A great community to be part of.”
“Wow wow wow! I recently attended an event at this location and had the wonderful opportunity to meet with a rep named Chris who has left a lasting impression on me. He provided excellent information about the apartments and availability, and took the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions. His professionalism, knowledge, and outstanding customer service made a great impression. To have this level of attentiveness for someone passing by and inquiring is exceptional. I look forward to the possibility of becoming a future resident as I’m new to this particular area. I always tell people if you’re going to pay a premium to live somewhere you should have that experience from the moment you walk through the door and my experience was nothing short of that. From the exquisite interior design to his level of customer service, I couldn’t have asked for more. Kudos to the training and management team at this property for maintaining such an inviting, warm, and friendly space. This would be a great place to call home.”
“I moved to Washington about 8 months ago for work — this was my first time living outside of Texas — and I was in a rush to find a place to live. I wasn’t able to tour the building before I moved in but the virtual tour of the floor plan impressed me enough to where I decided I’d live here. While I was extremely impressed by the virtual tour, it does not do the building or the units justice. This place is awesome. It’s got an amazing location in the trendy Navy Yard neighborhood, so plenty of entertainment within walking distance — also about a 15 minute walk to the Capitol and a 2 minute walk to the Navy Yard metro station, giving you easy access to the rest of the District and its surrounding areas. Common areas within the building are clean and tidy, and the unit is exceptional — I have so much space! Special shout out to the amazing staff here, especially the wonderful concierge team. I’ve rented many apartments in my life and I’ve never felt more at home than I do here. I plan to continue living at 909 New Jersey as long as I can.”

“University Gardens is the best apartment complex that I could have chosen for the first time, they have good customer service, a super affordable price, the area is super safe, I arrived at 11:30 pm from my work and nothing ever happens to me, Amazon packages etc. are not lost, I do not have a pest in the house, everything is super excellent, I recommend it 100%, you can look for Oscar Álvarez in case you want to move, he helped me and guided me ???”
“We had a best experience in touring today, the complex is soo clean and organised so well!!And a Special thanks to Gary Jones who took us in touring he was so helpful and very kind ??”
“Was looking at living here. The facilities and amenities seem top-notched. Beautiful finishes and the roof top is spacious with tons of seating. It’s also located in a neighborhood with a plethora of dining and entertainment options.”
“I lived at "The KW" for 7 years, ending in January 2024. During this time, I lived in both the South (built in 2000's) and Historic (built in 1932 and 1935). Leasing agents will be happy to provide a tour of either, so I'll leave descriptions of apartments out. Suffice to say, there are a variety of floor plans and none (including the studios) are shabby. Some amenities of the building (indoor heated pool, sauna, gym) are truly top-notch. The rooftop grills could be much better; but the area warmers are a great touch for those those hanging on to the outdoor space until the cold becomes unfightable. What I want to focus on is the experience. The KW courtyard is among the prettiest in DC and provides its own welcome which didn't diminish during my stay. Once inside, the main lobby provides a fantastic display of Art Deco and contains an elevated mezzanine that often provided a comfortable (and very well decorated) meeting place for myself and neighbors. This brings me to an aspect of the KW which may appeal to many, and certainly did to me. There exists a true sense of community which will match your level of engagement. That engagement spans across KW hosted activities, as well as events conducted by the Residents Association. The initiator and facilitator of these relationship is often the in-building private club/bar. For the first time, I knew dozens of my neighbors instead of just a handful. Many friendships therein will persist. The staff is mostly friendly and courteous. A few stand out as exceptional, and I'm not likely to find their equivalent again: Giovanna (Desk), Lea (Desk), Michael (Desk), Anthony (Engineering), James (Club), and Vanessa (Management). There are some things to pay attention to. This is an old building on the Historic Side; and, while the bones are great, one issue plagued my stay. Our front bathroom would begin to develop an odor several times a week. It was not mild, and smelled like a sewer. Engineering was never able to remediate this despite multiple attempts. None of my neighbors had a similar issue, so I suppose I was just lucky. In the South Wing, there is an engineering issue where water will leak past the valves in the washing machines should there be a pressure drop in the system. This could occur with the briefest power failure. If caught, Engineering will race to everyone's apartment to see if the issue is presenting and pursue resolution. If uncaught, the washing machines will fill and begin to spill over. I once had flooding in my apartment from above due to this issue. If I didn't hear the water and turn off my valves manually, the flooding would have been that much worse. Some of my neighbors had this occur multiple times. In all, I highly recommend the KW for young (Historic Wing) and old. If you're a lifelong renter, rent stabilization with a young start will provide you a home in a fabulous building at a cost that's unheard of. If you want a home to age in place, you'll find a vibrant group of neighbors who are continuously organizing get-togethers and are genuine friends.I was in the middle, and figured my best move was to buy something. I did this, however, with my wife; and I met my wife at the KW Club when I was 46. Need I say more?”
“It's been about two months since I moved into this apartment. Transportation is very convenient because bus and subway stations are right in front of the apartment. Also there's a Whole Foods Market right next door, making grocery shopping a breeze. So, I'm very satisfied with my new home.”
“Joe and the rest of the maintenance team here are amazing. I’ve been here two years, they have never failed to be courteous, kind, respectful, personable, etc. The staff here, Nagasat, Shauntia, are all truly wonderful.”
“Moved in in January during the massive snowstorm with my wife - everyone from the leasing office to the concierges have been nothing but incredibly helpful every step of the way - and continue to this day. Anytime we had any issues, they had been resolved within the same day or a day later. Issues like our dryer making loud noises, our shower head having low water pressure to our AC being broken at 10p.m - especially in the case of the AC, they showed up at 11pm and STILL fixed it!
Recently had a battery issue with my truck and the leasing office was super helpful and lend me a jumper too!
Every staff member is nice, polite and always willing to go above and beyond!”
“Everything went well. I'm very happy to live here. I'm an old soldier so I have no problem. No problem to mention or even speak of. Sincerely building 1100 apartment 110”
“We just moved in a month ago and the 425 mass team have been so helpful! Every time we have needed helped, they have been quick to resolve any problem we were having. The team is very friendly and easy to communicate with.”
“The leasing team at 2201 Wilson Apartments is an all-star crew. In particular, Thuraya and Ryan were kind, patient, and communicative as I navigated the leasing process.”
“Lived here for 2 years. The unit was renovated right before I moved in and had lovely finishes and new appliances. Management and maintenance were always responsive and friendly. The complex's amenities are also recently renovated and really nice (gym, yoga room, locker rooms, social gathering spaces, work areas). Especially the pool, which is one of the larger outdoor pools I've seen at an apartment complex in the area.”
“First of all, the location is great.
I enjoyed jogging every morning to the White House, the Capitol, and the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. There are many delicious restaurants and cafes nearby.
This is the best location for sightseeing in Washington.
It was a two-bedroom room, and one room had an independent bathroom and closet, so it was comfortable, and the other room had a wide bed and closet, so it was comfortable for four people to stay without being cramped.
The living room was surprisingly spacious and the kitchen was perfect for cooking.
(However, the knife was not very sharp.)
I stayed for a week and enjoyed Washington to the fullest.
I will definitely use it the next time I visit.”
“UPDATE (July 29, 2025): another win at The Clarendon. Last night our AC unit just quit. No warning. We left for a run club event after work and came back a few hours later to exactly zero signs of life from the AC unit. By 10:30pm inside temp was 85 degrees and with the current heat wave, we knew it would only get worse during the day. So we called in an emergency maintenance request. The technician arrived within the hour of our call, replaced the dead transformer, and we had cold air by midnight. I have never had this level of responsiveness from maintenance at any other rental. The fact that management prioritizes quality maintenance teams is a vote in favor of the management team as well. But seriously, give the emergency maintenance tech on call on July 28th a bonus, he was absolutely fantastic and we are super grateful for the cold air coming through the vents on this 96 degree day.
I’ve rented in different apartment complexes almost every year in five different states over the last 15 years and this is the first one I plan to renew my lease in once the first year is up—the Clarendon is absolutely fantastic! I have a German Shepherd and a cat, and this is by far the pet friendliest building I’ve ever lived in. We’ve only had to call maintenance twice and they’ve called within hours of submitting the maintenance ticket to set a time to stop in and do the work (no surprise visits!) The leasing office (shoutout to Gerson) answered all my million and one questions pre-lease signing and even made sure I had a spot to park the moving truck on move-in day. And then there’s the concierge, Shaukat. He knew me and my boyfriend by name within a matter of a couple of weeks of moving in. I don’t even have to check for package delivery notifications, because Shaukat will tell me when I walk in if anything was delivered that day. All the building dogs insist on stopping by his desk because they know he passes out treats. And he always shows up with a friendly and professional attitude. In a place and a time that can feel so anonymous and isolated, having someone that cares to know your name and chat for a few minutes as you’re coming and going really makes all the difference. I’ve lived in plenty of apartments, but the Clarendon very quickly felt like home!”
“The leasing staff is second to none. Not only was my agent professional, responsive and nice- she went out of her way to make my move a success. I feel very welcomed and know I made the right choice.”
“I have been staying here for the last 7 months and have become very friendly with the staff. Myra is very sweet and always has a smile on her face. I love that they are painting walls and cleaning carpets so the place stays looking nice. They also keep the place smell great. You would never know that there are many pets in the building from how great it smells and look.”
“This building is in a great spot in Clarendon with awesome amenities. My space was clean and had great storage space and appliances when I arrived. I am very happy with my experience so far at The Beacon Clarendon.”
“Jada and Sherrod have been invaluable in handling any issues I've encountered. Their positive attitudes and vibrant energy truly make the community welcoming. I also love my apartment and the amenity spaces. Thank you, Elevation leasing team!”

“Dear CeCe and the Banks family,
Thank you so much for all the fun activities you do for us and for bringing the building together and helping create new friendships. So many creative projects you do for us are greatly appreciated. Everyone who is part of this awesome building, from the lovely ladies who keep the building looking great, is there. The maintenance team, the Front desk crew, and of course the office ninjas with their big smiles. I don't get to say it to you directly as much as I would like to, so I wanted to make sure to thank everything. The BBQ battle gift baskets were awesome.
You bring smiles every day and your kindness and generosity are boundless. You put so much time into the happiness of your tenants that it goes above and beyond. I should know, that whenever you create and host these mixers for the building you're always the first one here and the last one out. I know that is not easy and when you have a team that is cohesive and works like family it projects that same energy to all those who are blessed to be around it.”
“We lived at Takoma Central for 7 years, through 2 owners and 4 management companies. The current Bozzuto team is BY FAR the best management team the building has ever had. Denisse and Taylor in the office and Ibrahim doing the maintenance work are diligent, caring, and most importantly, they are highly competent. It's not just talk - they get things done. It's a refreshing surprise to encounter competence in building management, they go above and beyond and they do it with a friendly attitude.
Working with Denisse, Taylor, and Ibrahim has been a pleasure.”
“We’re very excited to join Prince Georges Apartment community! My husband and I have just moved today and are very grateful to have met Jay Jay during our apartment search.
From the very beginning, she made us feel welcomed, valued, and at ease. Her kindness and patience were a big part of why we ultimately chose to live here. She took the time to answer all our questions, guided us through every step, and always greeted us with a warm smile.”
“Maria is the best she very sweet and accommodating. I moved into my apartment so quickly and the apartment is so nice very clean and they fixed an issue very quickly. I’m experience with this apartment is a 10/10!”
“My family and I are current residents at Park Ritchie. We've been residents for 30 years. Theo is one of the office managers at Park Ritchie. Theo is courteous and very informative. Every experience at Park Ritchie apartments is pleasant.”
