“455 Eye is a great place to live! The building is beautiful, and all the staff are wonderful, from Ashli in the leasing office, to Z, Irvette, and Kim at the front desk. Ms. Kim was so kind when I was moving in and brought a bunch of my packages up to my unit, placing them right by my door for me.
Legesse with the maintenance crew is fantastic. I had multiple maintenance requests early on, and Legesse came by very quickly each time and fixed the issues.
Everyone I’ve encountered is friendly, and I’m very happy here.”

“I have been living at Alton District for almost two months now and this apartment building has by far been the best living experience I’ve had in the city. I’ve lived in neighborhoods all over D.C. over the course of 5 years and nothing compares to Alton District. The location and the modern units are fantastic, but what really makes Alton District stand out is the people that work here. Alex (the property manager) is incredibly responsive and helpful, and Cecelia at the front desk is an absolute gem - she knows every resident, is so kind, and is always thoughtful. I highly highly recommend living here!”
“We moved one of our adult children into 425 Mass in July ‘26 based on a video of the unit and a few phone calls & emails. I’m glad we did. The team here - maintenance & cleaners, front desk and leasing office are attentive, kind and watchful. All are real guest service stars. The building and unit look great. Only concern - the AI voice gatekeeper is the absolute worst implementation of AI that I’ve ever encountered. We almost leased elsewhere because of that. Once you get past it, the people on site make up for the ivory tower error.”
“I’m a resident at 909 for 5 years I Iove it at 909 capital yards an the maintenance staff is great especially Mr. Cleveland he came to the building and got things done you put in a maintenance ticket for service request and it’s done in an hour not the next day but the same day can we please keep Mr. Cleveland he really gets the job done. The building is starting to look beautiful.”

There is a real sense of community in the building, the residents are happy to be here and are conscientious. Staff is hardworking and professional.”
“First of all, the location is great.
I enjoyed jogging every morning to the White House, the Capitol, and the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. There are many delicious restaurants and cafes nearby.
This is the best location for sightseeing in Washington.
It was a two-bedroom room, and one room had an independent bathroom and closet, so it was comfortable, and the other room had a wide bed and closet, so it was comfortable for four people to stay without being cramped.
The living room was surprisingly spacious and the kitchen was perfect for cooking.
(However, the knife was not very sharp.)
I stayed for a week and enjoyed Washington to the fullest.
I will definitely use it the next time I visit.”

I have had several maintenance issues, and Antwon has always been very responsive and helpful; He even stayed late one day to help me with an issue. It is so nice to have someone I trust in the building!”

“Berkshire15 has been such an amazing place to live, and I’d recommend it to anyone. The units are beautiful - great appliances, wonderful light, and spacious layouts. I have also enjoyed grilling and hanging out on the beautiful rooftop. But the best part of all might be the staff - Owen, Jeremy, Gerry, Jacob, Jasmine, Dontrell and the rest of the team have made it such a welcoming place to live. Overall, the building is a great community, impeccably maintained, and in an unmatched location. I will miss living here and wouldn’t leave if I weren’t moving cities - it’s truly the best!!”

“We had an excellent experience working with Andrew to visit, tour, and apply to Monroe Street Market! During our visit to the community, Andrew listened closely to what we were looking for and showed us several great apartments that fit our needs. After our tour, he stayed in contact by email as several other units that appealed to us went on the market, and expertly answered our questions about them. Andrew also guided us through the application process once we found an apartment we loved and kept us updated throughout. Because of a change in our circumstances, we didn't ultimately move into the community, but I have only positive things to say about working with Andrew and the beautiful apartments at Monroe Street Market. “I’ve lived here for over 4 years, and overall it’s a great building. Kevin is always incredibly helpful and friendly, and goes out of his way to make sure the tenants’ maintenance needs are taken care of. I appreciate having him around. The concierge staff, especially Mimi and Damien, are also amazing - always friendly and helpful.
The bike room could definitely be better organized. It can be difficult to easily access your bike, which makes it harder to use regularly. I also really wish there were cameras in the room, as my back wheel was stolen last year.”
“I absolutely LOVE living here, this review is way overdue.
The location alone is incredible: about a 10-minute walk to the Metro, 5 minutes to the bus, one of the best parks in DC right outside your door, and great restaurants and bars all within walking distance. It honestly doesn’t get more convenient than this.
But what really makes this place special is the management team. Janice is amazing, she's so warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring (she's like a second mom). Jef is incredibly professional, efficient, and always on top of everything, and Jose is always quick to help and fix anything you need.
The apartments have beautiful views and tons of natural light, which makes such a difference.
I’ve lived here almost 2 years, and I recently moved into another unit just so I could stay in the building—that says it all. So happy to call this place home!”
“Great location, very well maintained, and excellent management and staff. I've lived at Hampton Courts for 4 years and have been extremely impressed with how responsive and genuinely caring Julie, David, Tite, and the rest of the staff have been. They really go above and beyond to make the building feel comfortable, clean, safe, and inviting. In a world where so many apartments/landlords are out to get you, the management and staff here are a breath of fresh air.
The building has a great charm to it - both inside and outside - and is in close proximity to parks, cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, and public transportation.
Hampton Courts is a really great place to live and I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking to move to the area!”
“We had a great experience with Ibrahim, our maintenance building manager, and the maintenance team. When we first moved in, our unit needed several repairs, from a flooding dishwasher to a faulty water heater, and Ibrahim handled everything with professionalism and kindness. He was always responsive and made sure the work was done properly. The maintenance team was thorough and efficient, and thanks to their efforts our home is now in great shape. We really appreciate the care and attention they put into making sure everything was resolved.”

“I would like to acknowledge Property Manager Trayvon who is so hands on and shows care and concern. Also Ebony who is a gem !!She is so welcoming and truly care about the residents. I have to add Collins and Jonah at the concierge desk. They are so couteous and always have a smile. Aladin in security makes me feel safe when I come in late. I have been living here since March 2020 by far this is the best management to me. I highly recomnend the Hecht !”

“I lived here for two and a half years and it was the best building in every regard - better than any other I have lived in in DC. The apartments are modern inside with great amenities. The building itself is clean and safe, with a friendly (and attentive) front desk, a gym (including a Peloton), and a rooftop with the best views of DC. Management is great (very good communication) and goes above and beyond - especially the maintenance team. If you have a service request, it is completed right away. Can't speak highly enough about this building! And an added benefit is its location: right next to the National Mall and the McPherson Metro.”

“We really enjoyed our time living at the Park! They have the best staff I've ever experienced in apartment living. A major shoutout to Noble, who greets every tenant by name and is one of the most friendly people I have ever met.
The location next to Rock Creek Park is great and easy metro access was a huge perk. We loved the amenities (gym, underground parking, rooftop pool, etc.) and we felt the rent was reasonable and fair for the quality of the building. There were a few quirks we experienced with the way maintenance requests were handled, but overall would highly recommend living here!”
“Well I never thought I would be writing this but R Street apartments is on the come up. As a resident for over 5 years there has finally been some good progress in make R Street apartments into what feels like a home. Thank you to our new community manager, Danielle Carter, there has been great improves to the complex. Now are the buildings still showing some of the 100+ year old character, (it feels old) yes but overall the way this place is run is much better than managements past. Danielle and team have solved some account problems that had been lingering for 2+ years and was even able to retrieve a stolen package. They have continued to enforce common sense rules that make the complex more enjoyable for all residents. Lastly the maintenance team has been a huge upgrade from years past. The guys are very respectful of your home and are working around the clock to have issues resolved - including great communication that keeps you in the loop as larger projects are being done. I experienced this directly with my heat in my apartment.”
