They do a great job of introducing you to the sport and helping you push yourself (I was brand new). They had good tips for scaling movements and patience for new learners. My final years of grad school would have been so much harder without having this gym and these people. Thank you!”

“I've absolutely loved my experience since becoming a member of the Y. My family and I first joined to take advantage of their exercise equipment and swimming pool. These two perks have not let us down. The gym includes a variety of machines, free weights and lifting equipment. There is always an employee on duty to assist in the equipment area if need be. And, despite the fact that it sometimes gets super busy, I've never had to wait longer than a few minutes for whatever I needed. The pool hours are different each day of the week and if it gets too crowded they will close it off to additional people. For the most part, when my family has wanted to swim, they've had the chance to. Since joining we've discovered so many additional perks. They have an indoor basketball court with open gym hours and an intense rock wall with open climb times. They host "Parents Night Out" a couple times a month where parents can drop off their kids (for FREE) and go out. During certain times of day they have drop in child care if you want to work out or take a class but have your kids in tow. Some activities that cost additional money (outside of your membership fee) are summer camps and day camps. On days when county schools are closed, they offer "fun days". For 40ish dollars they will watch your kids for the day. They have sports leagues (my kids have played soccer) and swimming lessons. The facilities are incredibly well kept and the employees always seem helpful and relatable. Our experience here has gone well beyond what we expected! If you have the means, I definitely would recommend.”

“If we're counting places I've been to at least once, I've probably seen the inside of about 70 gyms since the year 2000. All over the continent, from Portland, Maine to Montreal, Quebec, to Los Angeles and Seattle.

The Towson Merritt is, by a decent margin, the cleanest and most well-maintained facility I've ever set foot in. Seriously, it's better maintained than most hospitals. The indoor pool is a gift from god in the winter and the outdoor pool is a ton of fun in the summer. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. If a machine breaks, it's fixed within a week.”

“Almost a year of going to this Planet Fitness location and it’s great! Everything is kept clean, staff is friendly/helpful, and any repairs or maintenance are done in a timely manner. Special shoutout to Kevin as such a dedicated worker always going above and beyond for all members and guests!! He truly makes everyone feel so welcome and you can tell he really cares about his job.”

“Super clean, open every day pretty much early morning until late in the evening. Never had an issue with the hours or staff, compared to other schools this gym is amazing”

“Today I witnessed one of the most foul things ever. 3 Muslim men came in the room to pray. This woman stopped all that she was doing to take pictures of them. When she was reported she stated how she never took pictures of them as I watched her do it with my own two eyes. After having no defense she said they were harassing her. God as my witness these men never said one word to her or anyone in that room for that matter. They literally came prayed and left ! I overheard that she’s the Pilates instructor I will not stop calling corporate until she is removed from La Fitness. Otherwise I have nothing negative to say about Laf”
