“This is my go to spot for quality meat, especially when wanting bulk pricing. From what I understand this company supplies a wide variety of restaurants in Maryland and Washington DC area so you probably are already eating their meat and not even knowing it. Everything we have ever gotten here has been top notch, high-quality and the customer service is excellent.”

“Of course I came to try their most popular sandwich, the Philly! It was the best cheesesteak I've had. It was HUGE and HEAVY and something you can defenitly share with your partner, which I did. Can not wait to come back again! It's more on the pricey end but ALL worth it!”

“I’ve made a few purchases here and each item has been high quality. Very tender tri-tip steak and meaty baby back ribs. Nice people working behind the counter too!”

“I have been buying meat from Kashmiri Bazaar for many years, and their meat is always very fresh, whether it’s beef, mutton, or chicken. Their customer service is also excellent, and everyone is very polite and professional. The meat is always cleaned and prepared very well. I would highly recommend everyone to visit them as well. Thank you.”

“Love at first sight. This tiny corner market deserves all the praise it gets. Gorgeous, clean, everything I’ve bought here is excellent quality. The cold cuts, the bread, the meats, and the pies are top notch. Love the potato salad. Best I’ve had. Try to go during off peak times because it gets very crowded.”

“One of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've ever had. $16 is a lot, but it's large enough that I got two meals out of it. I can't recommend the sandwich enough!”

“Canales' Cuban sandwich is a pleasant delight! I've tried a few different Cubano sandwiches throughout DC and have narrowed my favorites to two places so far: here (Canales Quality Meats) and Cuba Libre in Penn Quarter (whose sandwich I like a tad better).

The sandwich here is juicy if eaten soon after purchase (this is a butcher shop in Eastern Market!). It has a cylindrical shape to it, as opposed to the pressed appearance Cuba Libre employs for their sandwich.

It has a good balance to its bite, where you can taste the pork and pickles distinctly. The bread, too, was nice and soft, and it was neatly wrapped, so if you like to walk and eat (like my friend who went with me does), it's a great sandwich to do so!

The service was somewhat quick, perhaps a 5-minute wait time between walking up to the counter and reception of food. I haven't tried anything else here so far, but am interested to come back!

4/5 stars so far for sandwich quality, though perhaps a 2nd visit after another comparison with Cuba Libre's sandwich, it might go up to a 5. ?”

“We got ribeyes here to grill and they turned out well. They were all very large cut steaks about 1.5 pounds each. Their prices are not too far off from Trader Joe’s just around the corner and the quality is much better.”
