He excels at matching a client’s budget with a choice of wine and champagne appropriate to the occasion. My daughter, Airlie, and her husband, Nicholas, from Chamonix, France, as well as her mother-in-law, were extremely impressed with his knowledge of champagne from the region, while still offering competitive price ranges. Hands down, Amos is my go-to person for a variety of social occasions!”

“We ordered alcohol for our wedding through Ace, and they were incredibly easy to work with. They were responsive and helpful as we decided on our order, and both drop-off and pick-up were seamless. On top of all that, their pricing was very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend Ace for weddings or any large events!”

“Had to go to the lab when I was done with my daughter and I decided to have lunch they have a little cafe inside we both got steak n cheese with fries it was really tasty and we sat outside the weather was beautiful. We did go to the bar and had a drink The place was nice The service was great and would definitely visit again.”

“We called the store a week before an event looking to make a bulk order, the owner Max was supper attentive to our needs and worked with us to calculate a recommended quantity and local variety for our crowd size and type of drinkers. Bonus is that he had it ready in a clean stack for my husband to pick up the day before our event. This is a great example of a welcoming and exemplary small business in DC.
P.S. they take returns for boxes of beers etc. that are unopened, not that we had any to return, but this is a really a good quality to look for in a spirits store. Thanks for all your help!!”

Their free wine tastings every Friday and Saturday are one of my favorite things - they make it so easy and fun to try new wines and discover bottles I never would’ve picked up on my own. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable without ever being pushy, and they always have great recommendations at different price points.
The shop is well-organized, welcoming, and has a fantastic selection. Stopping by during a weekend tasting is the best way to figure out what you’ll actually enjoy drinking at home, and they make it super easy to grab a bottle of whatever you liked. “Ordering was easy and delivery very fast. This was a gift of prosecco sent to friends in DC. We did not realize that a photo id was required at delivery. We were unable to contact recepient and so delivery person was not able to complete delivery. We are now hoping to have it delivered when we can confirm someone will be home to provide id.”

“I’ve been to this neighborhood liquor store a few times, and it’s definitely a gem. The employees are friendly and always willing to help, making the experience pleasant. There is security posted at the door due to high theft in the area, but don’t let that deter you—this place has a fantastic selection of wine, beer, and alcohol. I’m really impressed by how extensive their variety is, especially for a smaller, local store.
They’ve also recently started selling cigars, which is a nice addition. Overall, this store has become my go-to spot for all things alcohol-related, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality and variety in the neighborhood.”
