“They're always cleaning their units and the laundromat in general. The only downside is that it's always busy and people how on to carts so at times it is hard to get a cart. I recommend bringing your own transportation to move your clothes from the washer to dryer and it and out of your vehicle.”
“The best laundromat I’ve been to! I’ve tried several others, but this one truly stands out. The atmosphere is amazing, with relaxing jazz music playing in the background. The machines are modern, powerful, and efficient, and the convenient payment options make the whole experience smooth and enjoyable”
“The laundromat is wonderful, and the employees are great. However, I have two suggestions:
1. The dryer doors do not stay open. When loading clothes, the door can swing shut and hit you. I often have to wedge clothes in just to keep it open, which is very frustrating.
2. I understand there is a one-hour policy where unattended laundry bags are discarded. I suggest keeping the bags instead of throwing them away. I had four bags—after putting my clothes in the washer, I left the bags nearby and moved my clothes to the dryer using a cart. When I went back to get my bags, they were gone because an employee had thrown them away. I know they were following policy, but doing laundry takes about an hour, and placing bags above or under machines is common. It would be better to store them somewhere so customers can retrieve them if needed. I had to dig out my laundry bags from the trash.
Aside from these issues, I really like this laundry, and the employees are very helpful.”
“The Island Plaza Cleaners are local heroes! After I moved out of a moldy apartment, they were able to get the mold out of my dry clean clothes, including a handmade wool coat I got from my grandma. When I brought the clothes in, they were realistic and upfront with what they were and were not sure they could get the mold out of. They were also very friendly and understanding! In the end, they got the mold out of everything and saved the coat I got from my grandma?
I wish I could provide pictures but I was busy looooossssing my mind?”

“Many machines to pick from, I brought my own detergent just in case I didn't have enough cash. Had decent sized amount of clothes which all fit perfectly into the machines, washed within 20ish minutes, and put in dryer for 30ish minutes. They have a change machine, restroom, and chairs to sit at. I'll be coming back here for future washes.”
“The best in the area with the most reasonable prices! I originally brought a whole bag of clothes to be cleaned. Crest Cleaners estimated $250, but I had the same number of clothes cleaned here for half the price! The quality was exceptional—my evening gown, adorned with beads and sparkly stones, was cleaned meticulously and placed on a special hanger shaped like the dress itself, keeping it perfectly ironed. I couldn’t believe how well everything was cleaned and cared for. Highly recommended!”
“I love doing my laundry here! The employees are polite and very helpful. Earlier today, the associate noticed that my dryer wasn't heating properly. She checked the machine, explained what was wrong and asked me to switch to another machine; she then immediately reimbursed me what I had paid.
There are comfortable waiting areas, television and free parking.”

Bobby and Peter are absolute pros and a pleasure to deal with every time. They even offer notary services for a tiny fee and handle it quickly and professionally, which has saved me more than once. The parking in the back is a huge bonus now that the Cleveland Park service lane is gone. “When I first came to this laundry matt I went only to do a large comforter that would not fit in my washer. When i got there I had no idea what i was doing. I soon found Wendy and she was so kind. She help me get a card, put money on it and even walked me over to the machine and showed me how to use it. When it was time for the dryer she showed me those too. That was over a year ago. I have been back at least once a month since then. I love coming here. Now i do everything. Its so easy and convenient but most of all CLEAN!!! I love how everything comes out exta clean and smells so good. Whenever I come in Wendy knows me by name and greets me with a smile. She always takes an interest. How are you today? Do you need help? I have to say Im a bit obsessed. Now I come in to do big items or just catch up on my regular laundry. Its so easy. I have also brought several of my friends and turned them onto it. Makes life easier when you can get it all done in an hour and half. This is place has become my go to for everything laundry. Wendy is a gem and if it wasn't for her not sure where I'd be. LF”

“I usually come here for dry cleaning, but this time I trusted them with a much harder job, restoring two pairs of white satin bridal heels (Prada and Aquazzura) that had serious grass stains, plus a pair of Alexander McQueen boots that needed sole replaced. The results were incredible. Both satin heels look basically new, which I honestly didn’t think was possible. The cobbler did a fantastic job and handled everything with so much care. “Best dry-cleaner in all of DC. The gentleman who runs this operation does it fully solo and never, ever misses a beat. Turns drop-offs into pick-ups in the blink of an eye.
Clothing comes back immaculate and perfectly hung. I have taken in several high-end articles of clothing to be tailored and repaired and each has returned to me looking exactly as they did when I bought them.
The owner is extremely helpful when I visit him what feels like twice a week. I always have my frisky, nosy dog with me and am dropping off a dozen items as well as picking up a dozen more. He helps me carefully contain the fresh laundry into my bag and is always impeccably patient and efficient.
Did I mention the affordability for this quality is a wonder of the world? The first few times I used these services my jaw actually dropped.

“As of right now I’ll give it a 4. The place is really well maintained. Staff are nice.
The regular size washer what I would call your typical apartment washer is $5.99 I was able to fit a king size thin comforter or quilt I should say with two small blankies, the 2nd one I put the bed covers, some towels and more blankets. The 3rd one another comforter and my sons clothes. So far I’ve spent $17.90. The slightly bigger machines is $7.99. You do get free drying here but it still seems a little too high. If you are washing just clothes I’d say is worth it but when you have bed covers, seems more expensive since it’s taking up the entire machine.”

“Wheaton valet cleaners is my go to for all dry cleaning, tailoring, and shoe repair needs. I’ve brought several shoes here to be repaired after either my dog got to them or the heel cap fell off. I’ve also brought a wool coat here that shrunk in the wash and they were able to lengthen the sleeves and make it look brand new again.”
