Pet Grooming

Country Acres Farm
4850 Harford Creamery Rd, White HallI wish I could give 50 stars. This is the first and only place you should take your dog for grooming. Our dog has severe anxiety, so it has been difficult to find a groomer for her. Kelly works with your dog one at a time in her private studio on the farm, so there are no other dogs or people around to provide distractions (and stress). She has worked with a lot of dogs with behavioral problems and seems to be an expert at calming them. She gave our dog a full wash, blowout, and cut and even trimmed here nails. No other groomer has been able to do that.
If that isn't enough for you, the price was a lot less than what you pay for grooming at the big pet store. And as a special added bonus, you get to visit a working farm (where you can also pick up a dozen farm fresh eggs for $3 as of May 2026).

Pet Care

Madonna Veterinary Clinic Inc
4105 Norrisville Rd, White HallExceptional care from the office staff to the vets. Top notch from regular check ups to overnight stays and surgery. We have been to three other vets in the area and by far the best in the area.

Shawsville Veterinary Hospital
4534 Norrisville Rd, White HallI love this vet because you can tell they all really care about their clients. The prices are reasonable. Right now, I’m having trouble with my senior dog having sundowners dementia. They have been very helpful trying to find a solution to her needs. I drive from Pennsylvania to see this vet and it’s worth the drive to get good quality care.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Madonna Seafood Restaurant
4105 Norrisville Rd, White HallThis is more personal. I showed up right at closing. Unintentionally. All I wanted was MD crab soup, so he helped me out. He came back and I told him it was a comfort food for me on the anniversary of my son's death. Just talking. He gave me the soup. I damn near cried. I was just talking. I want to multiply that act of kindness.
