“Picked up a clamp which cost around $2. It seems like there is minimum requirement for credit card (makes sense due to high credit card fees). Checked the car, no cash. They allowed me to take it as I needed the clamp. I will drop the cash later today. Nice guys. You wouldn’t get this level of service in big name stores like home depot”

“Ace Hardware is my go-to for DIY projects. I am pretty handy but often need to talk over a project with someone to get more ideas and advice. I bought a Dewalt handheld circular saw and was having a hard time installing the blade. I called Dewalt customer service, who couldn't help. But Joe, the manager at Ace Hardware realized I had put one washer in the wrong place. VOILA--my circular saw works. I am a very happy customer!”

“Exceptional!!! My first time shopping at this location and they had everything I needed and a one in a million purchase that bailed me out of being a no show gift item at a one year old boys birthday party.
The people are stellar, they must love their jobs as the assisted me to all the isles and exact area for the product and left me alone to find the one appropriate for my needs.
We did this 5 times, and on my way to the check out counter I found my childhood favorite candy (Chuckles) so dang fresh, soft, and full of flavor. No exaggeration!!!

I would especially appreciate the engineer, Matt Rimkus, who helped me calculate the structure and materials timely as requested, and patiently answered my questions. His professional serivce made me finally decide to purchase all materials through Chelmford lumber. Furthermore, the salesperson, Shaun in the store also provided an excellent service in delivery and return of the orders. In overall, i believe that this company is well managed and trusted. Their price is very fair and competitive to others.Just one thing to be improved is to state more clearly the return policy of special orders as customers place an order.”

“People will complain about the retail service here, but this ain't HD or Lowes, it's a supply house. If you need a 2x12 and don't want to burn an hour driving to HD in Waltham and back, they're great. The hours however are limited, since they service contractors.
That said, while I might have to wait or try to get someone's attention, I've always gotten what I needed here from paint to lumber to propane tank refills all while supporting a local shop rather than sending the money to a mega corp.”

The store was bright, well stocked and organized extremely well. I am definitely returning when I have a need for anything tool related.”

Sometimes quality is better but there are a few items I’ve purchased over the years that were rather inferior to the other more affordable store in the next town… I do appreciate and often come for landscaping or greenhouse selections in the 3 planting seasons.”
