“I have been a customer of O’Connor/Ace Hardware for many years and absolutely love this store. The employees are very knowledgeable and very willing to assist always. Can’t say enough about this store. I will continue to shop there always. I’m there at least once a week. I enjoy just walking through and seeing what new items have been added each season. Love, love love this store.”
“We use Westford Ace Hardware store for a lot of our daily needs. At the Housing Authority, time is money. Having a great local Hardware store who is willing to try to carry certain items or accommodate us in any way possible. Both locations are great!”
“I had a wonderful experience working with Shawn and Tommy. I needed to replace a bulb in my microwave oven. After finding the appropriate part, both men were able to assemble and disassemble the outside, and insert the new part after some drilling and replacement of screws. They were cool, calm and collected during the whole ordeal and never appeared rushed. Thank you to everyone at the store, I will visit again soon!Susan LundstromLexington, MA”
“Shattuck Ace Hardware in Lexington, Massachusetts is a wonderful old fashion hardware store where “good service” still matters. Anytime I go into this store I am greater warmly and professionally. The staff is so friendly and helps me find even the simplest smallest items I need. Their key making service is the best one around and I would not go anywhere else. Thank you Shattuck Ace for keeping corner hardware store alive and thriving. All the best, Robert.”
“Model Ace Hardware is amazing, what sets it apart is the staff who are always available to answer questions and help you find what you need. They are always patient and knowledgeable to help me figure out the best way to do a diy project.”
“Since we lived in Firestone Park in the 90s, I almost always go to this Ace Hardware. But about a year ago when I needed some screws that would go into concrete, I was in the Falls and stopped into Menards "to save time". The customer service representative was eager please but had zero knowledge about what I was asking or where to find that type of screw. We wasted at least 20 minutes. So I left straight from there and came to Ace hardware in Firestone Park, and they knew exactly what I needed and suggested a drill bit that ended up being perfect for my needs. They have always been highly knowledgeable, helpful, and the prices are great.Don't waste your time anywhere else ?”
“I'm a longtime fan of this hardware store. Its staff is very helpful - especially Tom,
who is extremely informative and always welcomes customers with good humor. The recently remodeled store is brightly lit and well organanized.”
“A local gem. For a small space, it's incredible how they always seem to have the hardware I need to fix whatever it is I need to fix at home. Classic small-town service, family-owned, very friendly. Huge fan.”
“Excellent place for landscaping equipment! The staff is extremely helpful, and takes the extra time to make sure that purchases are the right choice for the customer.”
“Every single time I’ve consciously made the effort to support local small businesses and do my home improvement shopping here I’m left smiling! The customer service alone, making actual eye-contact with a helpful associate who asked ME if I needed help is always a far cry from having to wander aimlessly around like “walker” out of The Walking Dead looking for help finding a 3/8” nut! The store is always so welcoming, the front doors propped-open for fresh air, the great job they do setting up the goods for display, and there are always a hundred other little things I want to pick up while looking around! But let’s talk real talk…..how can you beat the Benjamin Moore quality, selection, and ease of work with? And how much easier is it really to just swing into the parking lot 50’ from the entrance and not have to worry about the hustle-bustle of the orange madness or the blue lagoon!?.
This store is a comforting presence whenever I have any home improvement ideas, issues, or emergencies. The owners are salt of the Earth folks with kids of their own and I always enjoy spending a few extra minutes at the end of my purchases talking with them. I go there for EVERYTHING from a light bulb, to a rake, to all of my paint! I’ve also witnessed them many times consulting with, answering questions, and offering their expertise in an excited and friendly manner with customers on bigger projects they were taking on! It’s so simple and it SHOULD come easy but it’s such a lost “thing” in our present time. Go here!”
“I came in last week looking for a lot of different things, everywhere from cleaning products, to specific size hardware. I figured I’d be looking around the store the aimlessly, but no. An employee, I believe he told me his name was Jake, helped me find everything, despite the store being somewhat busy.”
“A great family owned business. Excellent service and knowledgeable staff put them head and shoulders above every other hardware store. Since they are affiliated with True Value, the prices are good also as they buy in bulk with the big dogs.”
“Good tools at great prices. I always check here before buying new. The owner is a friendly guy who knows his stuff and is always willing to help. Parking can be a bit of a pain but it is worth it.”
“stopped in here while doing a job in Newton. The staff was very friendly knowledgeable and had exactly what I needed. I would recommend to anyone. Keep small hardware stores in business and don’t shop at the big guys. We need shops like Schwartz Ace Hardware.”
“If you want to spend an hour and get your 10,000 steps for the day to get a valve stem go to the big box stores. If you want to be in and out in 3 min and get whatever you need then come here.”
“I can't say enough good things about this hardware store. Unlike Lowe's or Home Depot, there's always knowledgeable staff available to answer any questions or to assist customers as needed. All of the staff are absolutely amazing and have always gone above and beyond, in my opinion. I've been there on countless occasions with a million questions or having absolutely no idea how to do something, yet somehow still always manage to leave with all the stock required and have been advised as to the best way to get the job completed. I won't go anywhere else.”
“I like to stop in to Harbor Freight to look around and check out the weekly bargains. This place offers great prices and a huge assortment of tools. I belong to the "Inside track" membership, and it offers bigger savings on more items. I find the quality of the tools to be good to excellent. This is one if Mt favorite stored, 5 stars in my book!”
“Picked up a clamp which cost around $2. It seems like there is minimum requirement for credit card (makes sense due to high credit card fees). Checked the car, no cash. They allowed me to take it as I needed the clamp. I will drop the cash later today. Nice guys. You wouldn’t get this level of service in big name stores like home depot”
“Coolidge Hardware is our go to place when we want professional service and need high quality products. We have been going to Coolidge Hardware for over 30 years for high quality paint, paint brushes, hardware (screws, locks, keys...) and advice. I once brought a small chip off of an old wall we were repairing, and they were able to match the paint EXACTLY. Always professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful!”
“One doesn’t expect much going into a hardware store but I was blown away by how nice of an experience I had at this location. My boyfriend and I were immediately greeted upon entry and we were quickly guided to the section we needed. We browsed the store and were once again greeted to see if we needed anything, but not pressured. When we arrived at the checkout line, there was one person being rung up and despite us having no problem waiting another 30 seconds to be rung up, another friendly employee offered to ring us up right away. He let us know about the freshly smoked hot dogs they were offering! After checking out, we came to a booth with two different flavors of mini dogs and were told we could take as many as we liked. They were so delicious! The staff serving them were incredibly friendly as well. We left the store in a great mood and highly impressed by the level of service. Thank you so much!”
“I've always had great experiences at any true value I've been to around the country, and I must have been to them in at least 20 different states. Always helpful and friendly and competent. This tells me that the company prioritize excellence in customer service.
But on my last visit, this was taken to a whole new level. Taylor the assistant manager helped me with my keys which they don't even typically do that style. And she helped me try and dismantle them, which was a whole project. All while their system was down and she had a million better things to do. But she treated me like i was the only one in the store and was truly kind and concerned with the problem i came in to solve. And then i had a few nonconsequential questions while browsing but her and a couple other team members treated them like it was a daily double on jeopardy and they had to find the right answer.
This was help above and beyond from great people. I hardly even know what to say besides thank you!
Go shop here you won't be disappointed.”
“A model for what a local hardware store should be. Staffed by a mix of adults who know exactly how to help you. They also employ local kids who are usually pretty helpful, though they are just teenagers so manage your expectations! They are kids working a first job, and I see a lot of people (both in the store and on Yelp) mistake inexperience with rudeness. Selection is good for a local place, though more niche items may require a trip to a larger place. Importantly, they do not carry much of anything in terms of wood and lumber, though they have a decent power tool section, including Craftsman, Milwaukee, and Stihl. Painting, plumbing, hand tools, grilling, house care, yard care, and screws are examples of the areas they cover pretty well. Value is good as well, matching or beating that of places like Lowes or HD, and Ace is a local mainstay.”
“Came in not knowing anything. Wilfred the employee who helped me was super helpful, didn’t know one person could know so much about paint.A true expert on the job. Who also made me laughWouldn’t be suprised if he was baptized with paint instead of holy water”
“(Translated by Google) Excellent service and Everything for the plumbing. I highly recommend.(Original)Excelente servicio y de Todo para la fontanería. Recomendadicimo.”
“Great selection of hardware and an amazingly helpful staff.Wide variety feature some nice luxury brands. Like a jewelry store of hardware. They carry all price points. So nice to see and feel quality differences. Keep stores like this open and don't buy on line.”
“I had a fantastic experience working with W.J. Grosvenor & Co., Inc. for my recent project! I brought in a sample piece of old cove base, and they were able to color match it perfectly with barely a glance — I was seriously impressed by their expertise.
Everyone I interacted with was kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful, answering all my newbie questions with patience and friendliness. They made the whole process easy and stress-free, and I truly appreciated their professionalism and efficiency.
If you’re looking for a reliable, expert supplier who goes the extra mile to make sure you get exactly what you need, I can’t recommend W.J. Grosvenor & Co., Inc. highly enough! Thank you for helping make my project a success!”
“We love this place. A nice old-fashioned hardware store with a good selection of quality hand tools, fasteners, electrical and lights, kitchen, plumbing, etc. Of course it can't compete with a big-box for sheer inventory, but atmosphere, friendly dogs, new toy section, and quality service make it our first (and often only) stop on any hardware shopping trip. Unlike at an impersonal big-box store, Wanda is always willing and able to help decide exactly what fastener or part I need for any odd job.”
“They are very helpful in solving your project's problem. Whether it is color matching a stain or suggesting the right product for preparing the wood for painting.”
“I had a very specific request for a nut and bolt (to fix a blade on my hockey skate) and the staff inside this Ace Hardware store couldn’t have been more helpful. It was a $0.30 fix but the associate, Mark, spent the time with me to make sure that I was all set, found the right size to fit and even helped me fix my skate. If that’s not above and beyond for service I don’t know what is. Thank you!!”
