“Atkins is a supermarket with seating next to the bakery. The deli has a big food selection and I tried a meatball and turkey reuben sandwich, a wedding meatball soup and a cider donut. It was pleasantly surprising to find international items, reminiscent of countries I've recently visited. The service for check out was quick, and it had a quiet ambiance. It didn't give a farm-like feel, except for the apple cider and soup offerings. The presence of a tourist map for exploration was appreciated. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I would definitely consider returning.”

“Truly one of the best breakfast/sandwich shops in the area. I used to live in Amherst around 7 years ago and miss this place so much but got to stop in this weekend after a long hiatus. The breakfast sandwiches on a roll are so satisfying and the matcha is really tasty. Almost everything here is. Don’t skip the baked goods. And go look at their salt and pepper shaker collection.”

“The store on Boston Rd is great. But dislike how people park in front of the store, where there is clearly yellow lines indicating do not park there. It's a grocery store not a gas station. Big Y or Stop and Shop would allow that.”

“Uncle Bob's is a variety store selling many products. They sell milk, soda, juice, non perishables, paper towels, toilet paper, gift bags & cards, US, Portuguese flags, candy bars to snack food. There is coffee to go counter, cigarettes, lottery, scratch tickets & an ATM. They have many brands of imported beers and wines behind over 15 refrigerated doors and free standing shelves of wines. There is a redemption center and a small gift craft section containing Tia Maria's Portuguese Seasonings and her new cookbook, Portuguese Ceramic Roosters and cookware. They also sell gift box wines and liquors ready to go. A nice store to browse and find a gift for someone or yourself. ?”

“I used to own an iguarana for a pet. It was adorable. Soda of choice for the Brazilians. It's a really excellent product which I have been loving ever since I first tried it in Brazil but one person I know loves that way more than I do and that person is named Barbie. This is one of my favourite sodas even though it's a little on the sweet side and has a strange taste. It's made from some kind of Guarana syrup which is apparently sourced from the Amazon region and it's the Brazilian national drink. It is to them what Coca-Cola is to America - but it's definitely got more about it than Coca-Cola and I highly recommend giving it a try even though it is clearly not very good for you. Maybe that's why the Brazilians have such ample charms in the rear Department.”

“What a treat. We met some family there for lunch. Atkins is a market and so much more. They have a deli and they make great sandwiches. You can create the sandwich of your dreams on any bread you can imagine made just for you.We weren't shopping but we walked through Atkins to get to the deli and then back to the tables where you can eat. What is so wonderful and noticeable is the sense that Atkins is part of the community. The mix of people shopping or dropping in for a coffee is wonderful - everything from students to disabled elderly people like me. Young, old, black, white, all co-mingling in a glorious harmonic mix. I love the vibe.I loved the soup and sandwich. I loved the Market. I already talked my wife into coming more often to shop.Good job, Atkins!”

“Big Y is a great store for groceries, bottle redemption, pizza and seafood takeout. The deli case is well stocked with meats and cheese. The container macaroni, potato salads and pickles are pick up ready. Love the soup counter. The Big Y pizza tastes good and the prices are less than local restaurants and it tastes kind of like Papa Gino pizza. Watch the Big Y sales and take a visit. ? ? ? ? ?”

“Prices are comparable with Aldi's, their produce is decent and fresh, however don't be afraid to pick thru items to find the freshest available. The store brand items are good and priced decently, I would like to see more organic items in dry goods, lastly they are the only area store (within 50 miles) that still sell diamond nuts in shell, I will shop there again!”

“The staff was great! Was sent there to get a cookie tray, which I did, and ended up buying a dinner which I just cooked (all I had to do was replace the plastic cover with tin foil and heat for about an hour). The cookies were great and the turkey dinner was even better. I will for sure use it again. Lots of great food choices fresh and frozen. I will make my way through them! I highly recommend.”

“The Big Y in Ludlow, Ma is very clean well organized. I like their recycled reusable thermal bags. These bags come with zippers and they are at an excellent price. I applaud Big Y for all their special food services. I find most of the check out employees very accommodating, although I’ve run across more than my share that need some more training. Big Y can be pricey but all in all l enjoy shopping there.”

I'm not into supporting a place that makes you check-out yourself and then they follow you like a hawk to read your receipt. Provide more cashier's and you wouldn't have as big of a theft problem in this other storeI like the smaller stores when it comes to the papers and plates I use at my house.”

“Talk about a diamond on the rough. The steaks, ground beef, and chicken are amazing. You just have to get past the fact your buying them at a gas station. If you can do that you will have found the best deli/ butcher in town. lol or maybe the only one in town. Prices are perfect. Never had the sandwiches but the meat quality is great. Hit or miss on the staff. Some are really friendly and others are .... well.... not. But I guess you have to remember it is a gas station general store. Keep up the good work.”
