“This is a GREAT local grocery store, it has excellent produce, fish and specialty items such as bakery and cooked meals. The reason I gave it a four is the store staff overall does not seem treated well because they are generally unhappy. But the owners work hard to keep the parking lot well cared for such as with salting of ice and creating a well lit safe parking area. The store is kept clean and orderly. I do hope the staff is given more care and appreciation. Kind words and care can go a long way in making the atmosphere comfortable.”
“I came in yesterday with my brother and baby, and long story short I lost my car keys inside! The first person I told/found was Eric. He searched with me high and low, and literally didn’t stop looking. And astonishingly enough he found them. It was like looking for a needle in a hay stack, but Eric found them for us. “I see that most of the negative reviews were from a year ago. I have been buying all my meats for years from here. I buy steak bacon Portuguese chourisa goat cheese and have never had a problem. The girls who work there speak English and help with anything I’m looking for.
I do agree with the person on the chicken marinade that should be put out in smaller quantities to make sure it is sold in a timely fashion. The bread and all items I have bought are marked with a price and you do get a receipt for what you purchase”
“I was helped by Mary at self checkout while visiting Big Y Milford on 8/18/2024. She was amazing! She walked me through how to apply digital coupons and also checked my order for any additional discounts. She was so attentive to any customer at self check out. “The only place that I went to that needed a quarter to get a shopping cart, it did return the quarter to you when you returned the cart. A great way to save cost to keep the price down. Bring your own shopping bags too. It's a small grocery store. The price of the products varies. You can get a dozen eggs there for only $1.50”

They also have frozen goods.They carry typical neighborhood items like cigarettes and scratch tickets. Their Forte is the prepared food section where you can get a meal to go”

“I like going to this market it's unique and has an old fashion feel but also modern at the same time with a great selection. The store is always really clean, but on somethings the prices are a bit high however they also run some great sales so overall it's not too bad. As a local grocery store they are good for picking up a few things or shopping the sale but I wouldn't do my weekly shopping here.”

“I had the best experience at this shaws location, there is a young man here, his name is Daniel, he works in produce, he was restocking the premade fruit cups and he was so friendly. The fruit looked fabulous and very fresh, Daniel told me that he personally is responsible for cutting the fruit and placing it on the shelves, he does a beautiful job here and always greets customers with a smile!”

“This is one of my favorite markets, but today, Sunday, November 9th, 2025, I went to buy some fish and asked for two and a half pounds. The man didn’t understand me, so I asked my son to say it, but he still didn’t understand and was very rude to me. He said he wouldn’t do it, and I felt so embarrassed I just wanted to leave. I finally said, “Okay, make it three pounds,” and he started throwing the fish around. He was so rude that he realized it and later apologized.
But I just want to say that employees need to be taught to treat customers with respect — we don’t get anything for free; we pay for everything, and things are expensive.”

“A convenience store on steroids! There is a lot to offer here. They've got the usual convenience store items, but a lot of unusual things too that you wouldn't expect to find. They sell greeting cards, baby toys, yarn?, cooking and baking needs, games, health & beauty, cleaning supplies, and the list goes on. You really just need to stop by and go up and down every aisle. They even have just for men hair color. It's like a small General Store. I've lived in Lincoln for 12 years and have never been in this store before, but I'm glad my curiosity peaked.”
