“I've been using Arborway Auto for 5+ years, and always have a great experience. They're not the most inexpensive, but they do great work and it's a family business staffed by honest people.
Recently my car failed inspection and needed a large repair that would cost multiple thousands of dollars. However, Matt remembered that my specific make, model, and year of Subaru had an extended warranty in place for a known defect. Rather than take this big job for his shop, he encouraged me to reach out to the dealership to ask about this. He was right. The entire service was covered by the extended warranty and I didn't have to pay a dime.

“Bill is the best! I was trying to find someone to look at my check engine light and my usual auto shop said they couldn’t see me until next week. Called Bill and he had me come right in and took 20 minutes for him to run a diagnostic - and put air in my tires. :) Luckily, nothing wrong with the car so didn’t need work, but I will definitely be coming back here next time I need something.”

On Thursday, May 8th, 2025, I had a flat tire that needed urgent attention before heading to work. I found Los Tiburones Tire & Towing nearby with good reviews, so I drove there first thing in the morning.
They accepted my car right away. I watched as they carefully lifted the vehicle, inspected the tire, found the screw that had caused the puncture, explained the issue to me, and patched it up with attention and care. It wasn’t a quick patch job—they took the time to do it right.
When I asked about payment, I was genuinely surprised: they only charged me $20. I even double-checked because it seemed too low for the quality and thoroughness of the work. The staff confirmed the price, and I made sure to tip the mechanic in cash as a thank-you.
For context, when this happened to me in 2018, I paid $50 at another shop and still felt that was reasonable. This experience at Los Tiburones, however, was truly outstanding—not just because of the price, but because of how professional, courteous, and efficient they were.

“They stay open longer than others… Till 7 PM… Fixed my daughter’s punctured tire when I was recommending against this shop… And while I was recommending, she gets a new tire… They told her she didn’t need a new tire they fixed her tire and charged her $20… I just went by myself for another tire… Really good bunch of guys fast repair it in 10 minutes while you wait… No need for an appointment… Awesome fast work… It reminded me of what this country was like when I was a kid 60 years ago :-)”

“SUNDAY Dec 7 th 2025 9 45 am. After being denied service at LEON'S TIRE SHOP in Waltham at 9 am this morning bc the Russian speaking guy that dropped several f bombs needed to eat first .
I drove all the way to Blue Hill in Dorchester . The technician saw me right away. Took care of everything in less than 30 min. Gave him a great tip. Everyone in Cambridge and Harvard will know about this place .
