“Bill is the best! I was trying to find someone to look at my check engine light and my usual auto shop said they couldn’t see me until next week. Called Bill and he had me come right in and took 20 minutes for him to run a diagnostic - and put air in my tires. :) Luckily, nothing wrong with the car so didn’t need work, but I will definitely be coming back here next time I need something.”

“I went in with a scary-sounding clunk sound coming from under my vehicle - Jason scheduled my vehicle quickly, found that the problem was actually an easy fix, fixed it, and didn't try to upsell me. Incredibly easy interaction. Just off of this one experience, I won't get body work done anywhere else in Boston.”

“I've been using Arborway Auto for 5+ years, and always have a great experience. They're not the most inexpensive, but they do great work and it's a family business staffed by honest people. Recently my car failed inspection and needed a large repair that would cost multiple thousands of dollars. However, Matt remembered that my specific make, model, and year of Subaru had an extended warranty in place for a known defect. Rather than take this big job for his shop, he encouraged me to reach out to the dealership to ask about this. He was right. The entire service was covered by the extended warranty and I didn't have to pay a dime. Thanks, Matt!”

“George has taken care of our family's various car needs for the past few years. It's about time I leave this review! Always lots of transparency with diagnoses, price and priorities of what to fix. They always make sure you're satisfied with the work too. We always feel welcomed, listened to, respected and never rushed or taken advantage of. Having a mechanic that has as much integrity as he does goes a really long way. We are so thankful to have someone we can rely on, and know you will be too!”

“Amazing service! I came in with no appointment because my car had a very loud noise coming from the front wheel area, and I was really worried it might be something serious. They took the car right away, diagnosed the problem fast, and fixed it the same day. The noise is completely gone now and the car drives perfectly. The price was very fair, the work was professional, and the whole experience was stress-free. This is honestly one of the best and most honest auto repair shops in the Boston area. Highly recommended!”

“JCB Auto is a no nonsense repair shop that cares about the quality of their work and the parts they use. I personally had an issue with a “no name brand” part that I approved for installation and it ended up DOA, manufacturers fault. The very next business day they had a better brand replacement installed and didn’t charge for the re-work. Overall a great experience with these knowledgeable and honest technicians.”

235 Hyde Park Avenue, Boston MA 02130
“I would highly recommend this auto repair shop to anyone. The desk staff are extremely pleasant to talk to and are very knowledgeable in “mechanic” talk. They ask more detailed questions about your concerns with the car, so they can diagnose it better and relay those issues with the mechanic that will be working on your car. Communication is what you would expect to have. I dropped the car off the night before and by the following afternoon I received a message that the car was completed and ready for me to pick it up. The mechanics clearly know what they’re doing because my brakes feel great and there are no longer any concerning noises when I drive. I have to admit that I was embarrassed bringing in my car with the bit of grinding I was hearing when I would push on the brakes and as I drove there was a shrilling sound, which is also no longer there, but there was absolutely no judgement. They simply asked what was going on with the car and took it from there and resolved all my issues and concerns. I am a very happy customer. I will return and also recommend to anyone looking for a budget friendly mechanic, who completes the work in a timely manner. They work on what you bring the car in for without adding any additional work to the car, like most dealerships do. I’m certain that if there had been other concerns as they worked on my car, they would have reached out, but seeing as my car is relatively new, there was no need of that. Again… if you’re looking for a mechanic you can trust, check them out.”
