“This location rents U-Hauls inside the hardware store with the trucks behind the building. We received help from Al who made the whole experience smooth. From the jump, Al was super friendly and reasonable. He walked us through the paperwork efficiently and made the intimidating rental experience completely stress free. “10 stars to my guy Alan but only 4 stars to U-Haul. Process was smooth and easy for me but I was there on August 1 at 9am and Alan was the only one working on an insanely busy morning. Several people's trucks/equipment were unavailable and Alan was a wizard simultaneously calling and texting shops all around the greater Boston area while checking in 2-3 people at once. Give my man Alan a raise.”
“I was sent to the VFW parkway location after the Hyde Park location canceled my reservation with no warning or confirmation. The employees at the VFW parkway location were excellent and managed to get me a truck even though it was a busy moving day. They completely saved the day, I’d definitely recommend the 1550 VFW location and probably to steer clear of the Hyde Park shop.”

“The associates at this location were the best I’ve experienced. After my rental, I went into the store for more boxes. I heard one client, who was on the phone, ask if the lines were recorded because he wanted whomever was listening to know the associate deserved a raise. I concur.
It was 19 degrees and after doing all of the self check out in the frigid cold, the truck I was assigned wouldn’t start. Completely frustrating. Fortunately, the associate had just arrived that morning. She turned what was beginning to be terrible experience, into a good one. She made sure I had a clean, working truck, which I so appreciated.
They all work as if they are the owners. You can’t ask for more than that.”
“I picked up the truck using online application, because the office was closed at that day.
I recommend the following:
1. The online instruction doesn't specify where to find the black box with the truck key. I was looking for the black box on the truck,
and its cargo area. Turned out the black box was outside the office door on the wall. It was somewhat frustrating, Please update the instructions with the location of the black box.
2. While looking for the black box, I was trying to contact a UHaul representative with the question. The only well visible contacts were the address and phone of the office, which was closed. Their phone was sending me to the voice mail, which would be read in a few days.
I finally found 800 number in one of emails/app messages. People at 800 number were great.
Please, make sure that the 800 number is included everywhere where UHaul contact information is provided, especially on the days when the local office is closed.”
“The guy doing the gas on March 30th 2023 at 9 am is great very respectful and on point the most out of anybody I've dealt with over the years. He even willingly cleaned my mirrors without asking. Great service from this employee. Give this guy a raise.”
“Big nice moving trucks. Good people working here too. Made all the transactions easy. They have lots of supplies on site, and rental pads too. Drop off after hours on site. Quote was spot on.
