My kids banked with csb for years without a hitch but for some reason their authentification system has just stopped working--for days now-- and now there is no way to access online, and NO ONE CAN HELP. My child is now out of state and I have no way to get money to them because of this. emails sent to my email to invite me to be joint on the account are not received and the bank claims this is my gmail issue--if so why doesn't their text go thru either? They need to spend more on softwear that actually works.Looking for another bank

Photo deposit capability is the worst. I tried with my iPhone and iPad to deposit 2 small checks at least 10 times and it rejected all the images even though they were sharp and clear. I've had this problem numerous times. I never have this issue when I use this feature at Bank of America. CSB, you need to up your technology game.

I've been waiting for them to fire their incompetent upper management for 10 years. That's how long their telephone banking to get a simple balance has not worked more than 30% of the time. WAYNE PATENAUDE, KATIE CATLENDER, STEPHEN J. COUKOS, MICHAEL O. GILLES, LINDA GRACE, and KEVIN MCGUIRE - all morons - don't realize that getting a balance by telephone is the most important daily contact point for every single customer. Any Bank that hires these bozos should not be allowed anywhere near your money.

This bank claims they put a personal touch to their banking as compared to the big money center banks like Bank of America as their competitive advantage. Don't fall for this! I had been working for a year with Vivian on a mortgage. She seemed nice if not a little kookie, but if they can bank with a personal touch that would be fine. But after giving Vivian my tax return for this year after I qualified last year she said she's get back to me. She never did. Just completely ghosted me. She never saw my bank statements and how much I had saved since last year and now could put 20% down. Never even called back as if we met on a dating app rather than I'm a long time customer who has had an ongoing banking business relationship with. I went to Rocket Mortgage and everything is going smoothly. Stay away from Cambridge Savings Bank!!!

this bank literally closed out my savings account and sent the funds ($3000) to the state of massachusetts. they just assumed i was dead or something without even making a phone call to confirm mailing address. this bank is poorly run and nobody knows what they are doing (branch manager at inman square didn't know what to do) and that is why you should avoid small banks and stick with the national brand banks.

Cambridge Savings Bank? Last week my debit card was stolen from the ATM machine when I forgot to take it out. Was able to get a new debit card. This past Saturday, I got a very threatening letter from them saying if you don't cooperate and report this person to us immediately we will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law and you could be facing prison. Okay I know the complete stranger who stole my card? Cambridge Savings Bank can go out of business. I'm really afraid the police are going to be arresting me anyday for this. It's a Bank heartless and soulless.

CSB would not deposit a CSB treasurers check from their bank that was made out to pay to the order to me. I am a customer there and not the one that the check was made out to. I found a much better bank that took it without any problems. CBS stated if was for a smaller amount they would accept it. That sounds illegal esp. when it was from their bank! Check was for just over 1,000 maybe if it was 500???? They don't trust their own checks so I no longer trust them 80) No wonder I took my savings out years ago and only use them for little use. And always updated use of customer's money Maybe use for more practical things then interior designing. Maybe pay higher interest rates instead?

They resolved the issue as far as I am concerned. The credited me the money back and we parted ways. I realize the bank was also a victim of the fraud as well. Not the problem. Great people at the branch.

This is the worst bank I've ever had! My money came up short, the teller won't count your money in front of you, and the Watertown branch has extremely rude staff! I recommend you don't bank with them!!

I had trouble getting the signup bonus offer and it led to an unpleasant experience at the CSBank. I will go into details: Requirements were certain amount deposited and number of withdrawal transactions a month for 3 month. Because of covid19 my plans were altered. My original job got postponed indefinetly and i picked up 2 other jobs for the months i had to fulfill my requirements for the bonus offer. I was being paid through 3 sources. First month i could not make the full sum as i only had 1 week to work. in conversations with the bank i was told that the sum is not the critical amount(covid19 special event), but they questioned if i really got paid or if i self deposited amount in because a company paid me through square. This was an odd thing to hear. I offered to show them my receipts from caviar(a company paying me) showing that i indeed got paid. They never took me up on my offer and called and left a message that they are denying issuing me my bonus. "If i can be of further assistance dont hesitate to call us back" was how they ended the voicemail. At this point i looked at my statements from bank and really saw all deposits show up as ACH, and was not happy that they are complaining about how something coded in their system. To me it all looks like ACH, plus they had a choice to look with me on my account and see that it was indeed payments being deposited. I visited a branch, and asked to speak to a manager. While i was waiting someone came up to me and asked if i needed help, i said i am all set and waiting for a manager. When we sat down she explained she had no authority in these matters and would write a request on my behalf. She was a pleasant lady but i came to speak to a decisionmaker and to resolve the issue. Now i got a call - they want to know what i bought. This bank is fundamentally flawed. Their desicionmakers hide behind other workers creating confusion and undue burdens. This was the first time where a bank gave me a runaround. I would not trust a business like this with anything that you count on in a pinch. This is Cambridge Savings Bank.

I'm a longtime CSB customer, and have had it with this cheesy local bank. They have some of the worse online access protocols and it's made it such that checking even my balance on a service like Mint is impossible (see screenshot attached, you now get this 100% of the time you login, and it is intentional). I contacted them about it, and someone told me "we are protecting your security" yet not a single other bank/brokerage/loan account I own has the same cludgy antiquated additional steps to login. Obviously they are offshoring all of this otherwise it would be handled better. The people who work there are great to be honest, but unless you are literally the type who wants to walk in and talk to someone for every banking interaction there is zero reason to have an account here over the big banks that have figured out seamless online services. I am unfortunately in the process of emptying my accounts.

The staff here are so nice! I only come in to grab quarters for laundry (not a member) but the tellers are always friendly and polite and greet you as you walk in. Most recently I was helped by Josiane who was super nice. The location is well staffed/I've never had to wait. Can't confirm it's a good place to bank but the employees seem great.
