“What a spectacular place—full of history, flavor, and warm hospitality. The building itself is worth a visit: charming, historic, and beautifully preserved. And if that weren’t enough, it’s perfectly located in one of the most picturesque areas of Concord.

We came for the restaurant, which was excellent, but this place is much more than just a place to eat. It’s also a hotel, and now we know—we’ll definitely be coming back, even if it means going out of our way. This is the kind of spot you come to not just for lunch, but to stay and soak in the experience.

This is a solid 6 out of 5.”

“When I tell you that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, I say this with pride. Genuinely incredible staff, very attentive and helpful, the person who worked the night of our check in date was super friendly and courteous, sadly forgot to get her name but she was awesome. The breakfast is absolutely the best I've had in a standard hotel, full on scrambled eggs with bacon/sausage, little triangle potato things, pancakes, bagels, cereal, this is what breakfast should be like in every place. They had a gorgeous pool, which sadly we couldn't use due to just not having our swimming attire/it being the middle of October, but it looked clean as anything. Our room had a balcony area, was extremely clean, chargers above the bed, a heat lamp in the bathroom, which my girlfriend, now fiancé since I proposed during my time in this area, absolutely loved. Oh yeah, plus my girlfriend and I got engaged here, I was super nervous, but they made us feel like we were at home. This is a fantastic hotel, old school sure, but none the less, if we end up taking another trip to Salem, this will be our hotel of choice. No questions asked. Sure its about an hour away, but I'd rather drive a bit and stay at a place I know will be a fantastic stay. I say this with over 4 years of hospitality under my belt, amazing hotel.”

“Loved the stay here. Very Clean and amazing service. Christine at the front desk was so friendly and extremely helpful and knew every guest by name. The breakfast was the usual buffet served at chain hotels. The double king bedrooms with 2 bathrooms was fantastic for accommodating my family which I have never seen before. I would highly recommend and would stay again! This coming from someone who usually stays in Airbnbs only.”

“Far enough away from Boston City center to be relaxing. When going to any part of Boston City or airport it is only about 35 minutes away. Even though it may be 12 mi. It is right off the 95 and has other routes available without tolls.”

“The water in this hotel (room that we stayed) was so dry, I couldn’t wash my hands. They have every good shampoo and vanity products but water ;(. The pool is fantastic. The mattress and pillows are firm and keeping your back in a good shape. The breakfast is both various and sufficient. Recommend, hopefully they will install a water filter or change the water quality.CLose to all sightseeing”

The bed itself it’s very comfortable and I have a good sleep. Very quiet

“Very comfortable bed. Shower was a little weak and prefer hotter water but could have been showering at the same time as everyone else.

Walkability: Not nearby anything and will need to drive to get to food. Though there is one Mexican restaurant nearby.”

“My stay at the Westin Waltham Boston was perfect! The employees, specifically Elizabeth at breakfast and Willy at the front desk, were over-the-top kind and helpful. My room was so comfortable and cozy, and I really enjoyed all the choices I got with the free breakfast voucher. Moreover, it is pet-friendly (without any additional fee!). I didn’t want to leave.”

“I had high tea at this location yesterday. The whole experience was fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly, I also felt as though they had plenty of parking. The grounds in the in itself are also very well-kept and very well decorated. The tea was delicious, and I felt as though they had a variety of flavors. The food was outstanding as well, I will definitely be visiting this location again, and I highly recommend it.”

“The fun, funky vibes of a Boston or New York hotel in the Massachusetts suburbs. This was the perfect hotel for checking out local colleges. You are centrally located to Boston and that northern Massachusetts/southern NH region where they basically keep all of the colleges and universities. My kids loved the unique rooms at Aloft, the pool, pool table, lounge, and indoor/outdoor space. I appreciated the value, friendly staff, and especially the well-stocked bar (after a week of pricing colleges, a cocktail was a welcome touch).”

“The rooms were clean, the gym is in good condition. The pool is closed indefinitely, which was a sad surprise to my family. There was a large youth soccer group at the hotel which was pretty rowdy and annoying in the late evening. People leaving their bags of take-out trash in the hallways (and the mouse running down the hall) could be prevented by some trash cans at either end of the (very long) hallway and somewhere in the middle. Also while there-- had someone else charge their dinner and drinks to our room twice. We contested it and the hotel staff took it off our bill, but be aware and check your bill!Nearby activities: Very close to a large mall just across the highway.”

“Manager Katie and her staff I’m familiar with knowing there are more (Amanda Julius Ana to name a few) have been nothing short of amazing and very hospitable.

In my current life transition, it’s comforting to know I have a place to walk into seeing familiar faces which provides needed comfort.

I recommend Extended Stay America Not just for hotel accommodations, but truly for the staff your organization hired.

I’m pleased to call extended stay 52 4th Ave., Waltham, MA my temporary home away from home .

Well done!

Frederick Brewer

Safety: I do frequently see Waltham patrol officers, making sure that the grounds are safe for any “Riff Raff” and the overall safety and well-being of Extended StayAmerica short-term residents.

Noteworthy details: Every time I need something for the room like a toaster dishes, pots pans anything within their means on site, Julius is wonderful and helping me obtain these items”

“I chose this hotel as the hotels in downtown Boston were all priced above my corporate limit and I only stay at Hilton based properties. The staff was very nice at check in and when I talked to them during the stay.

Sure the hotel is a little dated, but my room was clean with no issues. The breakfast was typical of an Embassy Suites.

If I am in the area again I would stay here. My only complaint would be that they charge for parking and have a lot that I can't imagine would ever get filled up.”

“This is a basic hotel, nothing fancy, but completely adequate, and a great value for the price. The decor is dated and somewhat worn, but my room was cleaner than many I've had at fancier places. The bed was comfortable, nice linens, good towels, fast and plentiful hot water. My room had a microwave, coffee maker, full-size❗️fridge, iron and board, and a hair dryer. The rooms all open onto an atrium that has a pool and the breakfast room. My only complaint was that the curtain was not quite long enough to cover the window from side to side. I could position it to block the view into my room, but not the light from the atrium, so the room was not as dark as I would have liked. The location allows an easy drive into Boston (except at rush hour of course) and there are several restaurants and a grocery store within easy walking distance. The parking garage under the building provides some sense of security. I would stay again if the need arose.”

“Movie-esque Moments at the Bedford Motel

You pull up to the porte cochere and get out of the car. You’ve been driving for hours and miles and just need a place to crash. Inside you are greeted warmly by a faint smell of curry and incents, exotic devotional artifacts embellish the countertop and sparse walls. The gentleman at the counter is blunt with your peaking curiosity.

“What kind of people stay in this place? What do they come to this town for?”

“I don’t know sir.”

You can gather they’re all simple passers-by. People move about the courtyard with wet hair. Out-of-state license plates line the parking spots. Neighbors smoke their cigarettes lazily and gaze at the dusky sky. They greet you with kind eyes as you walk by.

The room is imperfect in a comforting way, it’s quirky, giving the sense that you’re staying in the spare room of an old friend. The beds are large and comfortable, the furniture is well-made and lived in. The windows open up to the back lot of lush greenery where you can hear birds sing.

Next door there is an ice cream shop and an Indian restaurant. The crowd of guests feels familiar, like a family gathering of distant relatives. You’ve known them a long time, even though you can’t recognize their faces and don’t care to socialize. You’d grab a bite to eat with them, but you’re too tired.

The bathroom is bright to help you wash the day away in the floor-blistered shower. Fingerprints and stickers decorate the mirrors. The gentle humming of the fan and the refrigerator creates a symphony of white noise to lull you to sleep.

In the morning you wake up and feel peace. You step into the daylight only enticed by a complementary styrofoam cup of coffee. You wave to the sweet man and woman who clean the vacant rooms with their bare hands. The morning permits you to move slowly. You can lounge about. You can take a drag. You can slowly pack your bags, lose the key, and find it again. You can check out and head home, feeling sound.”
