“Every single time I’ve consciously made the effort to support local small businesses and do my home improvement shopping here I’m left smiling! The customer service alone, making actual eye-contact with a helpful associate who asked ME if I needed help is always a far cry from having to wander aimlessly around like “walker” out of The Walking Dead looking for help finding a 3/8” nut! The store is always so welcoming, the front doors propped-open for fresh air, the great job they do setting up the goods for display, and there are always a hundred other little things I want to pick up while looking around! But let’s talk real talk…..how can you beat the Benjamin Moore quality, selection, and ease of work with? And how much easier is it really to just swing into the parking lot 50’ from the entrance and not have to worry about the hustle-bustle of the orange madness or the blue lagoon!?.
This store is a comforting presence whenever I have any home improvement ideas, issues, or emergencies. The owners are salt of the Earth folks with kids of their own and I always enjoy spending a few extra minutes at the end of my purchases talking with them. I go there for EVERYTHING from a light bulb, to a rake, to all of my paint! I’ve also witnessed them many times consulting with, answering questions, and offering their expertise in an excited and friendly manner with customers on bigger projects they were taking on! It’s so simple and it SHOULD come easy but it’s such a lost “thing” in our present time. Go here!”

An employee, I believe he told me his name was Jake, helped me find everything, despite the store being somewhat busy.”

“I’ve been living in the area for more than two decades and it has always been a pleasant experience for me there. Staff is all polite and helpful, I actually received a wonderful service from this young black man with glasses(should have asked for his name!). He was not only very knowledgeable and helpful, he went above and beyond and replaced my license plate for me. New screws for replacing my license plate was one of the things I needed to get at the store. He was so very kind and his customer service skill was exceptional. Thank you so much and I highly recommend this hardware store if you need anything!!”
“From the retail store to the drive thru yard, everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Stopped in this morning for some ice melt after a big box store once again let me down and faked to deliver to my home. I was warmly greeted by the folks behind the counter and we had a great chat about some upcoming projects I’m planning. The cashier walked me through the process for collecting my 150# of ice melt via their drive thru lumber yard.
It was my first time shopping there and accidentally went down the wrong lane in the drive thru but everyone was kind and gracious- I was so embarrassed & worried I was going to get the standard New England style scolding for my oversight. But the gentleman who assisted me with loading my ice melt and the cashier were both so lovely- thank you for that.
I am done with the big box home improvement stores and will be shopping here from now on!”

“This year's (2023) quality of pellet fuel is very good.One thing has really improved. Everyone asks if you need help. I bought extra wood pellets dye cold weather after burning 2 tons. These were inferior wood pellets @$6 a bag. It leaves an odor not normally associated with hardwood which is what it was indicated on the bag to be. Finding a cart to load them on was not easy. It may be time to buy next winters supply from your regular supplier. If you can locate the quality at last year's price with an increase in delivery I suggest you do it. If was another product I'd give them 4 stars but product brings it down a notch. It's an annoying odor that leaves your throat scratchy. It's not COVID.”

I would especially appreciate the engineer, Matt Rimkus, who helped me calculate the structure and materials timely as requested, and patiently answered my questions. His professional serivce made me finally decide to purchase all materials through Chelmford lumber. Furthermore, the salesperson, Shaun in the store also provided an excellent service in delivery and return of the orders. In overall, i believe that this company is well managed and trusted. She helped me figure out which ones I could and couldn’t use depending on my plumbing (which even my contractors didn't inform me on), went above and beyond to find each shower piece in a specific finish for me, kept me up to date promptly via text when it would be in, even worked around things to try to get it delivered faster, and is so so friendly.
