“My computer was hacked last week. I wss concerned our bank accts would be next. So the safest thing i could do was to freeze all our accts. This meant we would have to open all new accts… we spent over 2 hrs at the bank. we were there past closing on saturday. i want to give Mr T. Sutherland a huge thank you for helping us out . “Great place to get money from an ATM at 2 in the morning. Can't help but hope I don't get mugged, though, because their ATM is right near the corner of the building, and some nights the entire alleyway isn't lit, so it just gives off dangerous vibes. Good food tho.”

“About a year ago, we worked hard with Rosa Nguyen (who came highly recommended) on a house that was under construction. Rosa went above and beyond to keep us updated with the changes in rates and helped us navigate the complicated world of mortgages as first time home buyers. She was at our nerve racking closing and was advising us till the second we signed the dotted line. Her experience in the field as a previous realtor helped us a lot and she wasn't afraid to give us the best advice. “The staff at the Citizens Bank branch in Sturbridge were a pleasant surprise. Considering they are located within a Stop 'n Shop I was expecting sub-par service from employees with mediocre knowledge. Instead, what I found were excellent staff, who remembered my name, my usual transactions and recent work I was doing or had recently done ("Hey, were you still looking into that line of credit? The manager's here today. He can walk you through the basics..."). They even remember that I travel internationally quite often and are happy to help in any way they can.”

“I've always had good service at this location! Roza and Savanna were very helpful and always followed up with answers to all my questions. My only complaint is the location is not very handicap accessible. Handicap parking is in the parking lot on the second level but there is no elevator to get you to ground level where banking takes place.”
“Have Banked at Web 5 for over 60 years. I have also had accounts at other banks WCIS, Guarantee, etc. etc. This bank has always met all my needs, and exceeds other banks. Other banks save you in one area, but over charge for others, so when you compare banks compare all the basic features you use every day. Then you will realize the value of Webster Five.”

“I went in here about a year ago to put some money into a CD account because they had a really great interest rate. The people in there were great, so professional. I liked that you get to sit down while doing your banking transaction. Another chair could be good for if you have a kid with you like I did, but not a huge deal.
I did end up closing my accounts this year when I noticed they rolled my CD from a +5% rate CD to a ~1% CD. I guess I figured when you auto-roll that they would kind of have your back and roll it into a similar product. Auto-rolling it into a 1% CD is really not great - you can make better than 1% anywhere nowadays. That was a little disappointing, and so I totally recommend not electing to have your money auto-roll if you're doing a CD, as they're going to roll you into a situation that benefits them much more than it will benefit you. I get it, banks have to make money too, but still felt a little deceptive. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of.
Other than that though, I think if you were just looking for a bank to use for everyday banking, definitely a good atmosphere, clean modern bank, and the online banking seemed to work well too. So worth giving them a shot.”
