They always greeted my mom and late father by name and were consistently kind, patient, and welcoming. It meant more than I can express and really made us feel valued.
When we needed help handling my father’s accounts after his passing, the staff was incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made a very difficult time much easier for us.

“Jenny, Maggie, and the other gentleman here at the East Longmeadow branch were extremely helpful in opening my business account. I have had Peoples Bank for 10+ years and have never has an issue until just recently trying to open my business account. I was getting extremely frustrated with the other branches lack of effort and complacency. I came to the East Longmeadow branch and they resolved the issue and were able to open the account. Most importantly they actually cared enough to try and help me, rather than saying “sorry can’t help you” and sending me on my way. “In this era where customer service is all but dead, I wanted to note that Licia Van Steenburgh (current Branch Manager), did a great job of resolving my issue (despite me being a tough customer) quickly and efficiently. She also took it upon herself to follow up the next day with a call and a proactive reversal of an erroneous charge on my acct, she save me the call or trip to the bank, and made me glad to know that there is still good customer service if you are lucky enough to deal with Licia (or likely others at her branch).
